OK, maybe some monkey can help me understand this. I'm in the Detroit area, we just had a flash across the screen to tune to channel 16 with is HSN.com. Now in white letters over the show it's stating that A civil authority has issued a child abduction emergency for the following counties/areas Oakland, Monroe, Macomb, Wayne, Lenawee and Washteaw at 2:31 pm on Sep 26, 2009 effective until 8:20 pm.

That's it! What the heck does this mean?? It's not an Amber Alert, there are no details about any child missing. What is a child abduction emergency and why say a civil authority???

NoRose..that's a smart idea.  I would think, hope, that LE has searched ALL the places of the people connected to this case but I find myself wondering.  I know that this is a small department but on the other hand, they don't have many little girls go missing so it seems like they could devote the resources to search everywhere thoroughly.

I know it's hard with all the ponds and lakes but your idea....makes perfect sense.

And look at Caylee....for all the driving around Casey did, they found her very near where Casey lived.  I think it's usually that way.  Especially since Misty didn't own a car.  I don't know.  I hate to criticize LE but in my opinion they have seemed to just REACT to any tip etc instead of formulating some logical guesses based on profiling etc.

Anyone else feel that way?

Casey was probably laughing her  butt off, when everyone was searching and Caylee was right under their noses the whole time. Statistics show that most killers leave their victims in a place they know well. Close to home.

Scanner is getting busy. Several officers away from vehicles on portables and at least one out at Stokes Landing. Not sure where the ones out on portables are, They went to a private channel

I still can't get the fact out of my head that the search dogs went to the water first, the morning she went missing. Is it possible that someone picked Misty, Jr & Haleigh up by boat and took them across the river to the landing, and someone was waiting there in a vehicle to take them to a place on the Mondex that night to party?

Do you monkeys think that Misty made a "weasel deal"?  Remember, she was at the P.S. answering questionings (supposely) without an attorney. What if her attn. made a deal and she went down and OK'd it?  Is she really maybe on a protection witness program?

From what I understand about the letter brought by Scrubs, the info was short and to the point on 'where' to find Haleigh, not about 'what' happened. 

Were these words indeed the words of Mr. Prior or PCSO?

Mr. Prior could very well have misinterpreted the WORDING DIFFERENTLY THAN PCSO.  Until the letter is actually posted....we have nothing sound to say if it indicated or stated...WHERE or WHAT.

As that sentence starts out, it's from what I understand.     

The discussion was over at WS, between the one who emailed Mr. Prior and others.  I posted the supposed email response from Mr. Prior earlier, you can refer back to that.  Am thinking it was back around pg. 4. 

We have nothing sound to indicate anything for sure in this case.  All speculation.  Either on our part or on the part of others. 

Which again.. is why I started out that one sentence with.......... From what I understand.
