Interesting.    The family makes the investigation almost impossible. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do you know how many other families of missing people wish they had the compassion/commitment of their local police dept like the Cummings do with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office??    I couldn't agree more, when you consider all the missing people, and how many families would appreciate air time to discuss their missing loved one. It makes me ill, that air time is spent on bs from some families, the Cummings and the Anthonys.

"T" appeared to be stoned or on meds, feeling no pain, maybe, two sheet to the wind. IMO.

N.G. should halt that bunk of Miss Nancy, she is an educated woman and T.N. demeans her with the Miss Nancy, it is not polite

it is degrading, it sounds like Grace should have a kerchief and a feather duster, and that isn't the case, she is accomplished

attorney, writer and TV host. I don't stick up for NG often,Grace should correct her.

I don't like that Miz Nancy bs either, it is ridiculous, and I would ask her not to call me that 

This is totally O/T but here goes...I am originally from Mich. When I moved here, I was amazed at how many kids around here use that phrase "Miss whatever'.  I personally find it annoying, but not as annoying as a neighbour I had that insisted on her kids calling me that. I spent many days explaining to her it made me feel uncomfortable, she finally negotiated, but with the understanding that her kids would not call me by my first name, they were to refer to me as 'Auntie' or 'Aunt', which to me was even worse.

Glad to say as sweet as those kids were (all 6 and ll boys), I no longer live beside them.

I guess I will be O/T here too, but down south to call an adult by a child Miss... is really a form of respect. When I was a child, we would never call an adult Miss Nancy, it would be Miss Grace. It just seems odd that this would be annoying to you. They were paying you a compliment by showing you respect. What did you want them to call you? I am confused.

I was simply remembering an experience I had with the "Mizz' thing, not trying to start anything.

I do realise it is a form or respect as my Mom was born and raised in the south and we were taught to respect our elders also.  although I do recall at the time I was 20 something, it was all new to me to have kids call me 'Miss' anything, I, as a kid called any elder Mr. or Mrs, unless they asked to be called by their first name.

I was fine with the kids calling me by my first name as they were clearly embarassed by the fact that their Mother made such a big deal of it.

I agree with other posters that when RC and TN repeatedly use it, they are being condescending and snarky. JMO

I now remember why I lurk and do not post often. Back to the rafters for me.

Oh, please don't lurk. I'm sorry. It just seemed odd to me that it bothered you that the children were being polite to you. Please accept my apology. 

My husband is from Mi and he is also hispanic, and comes from a very traditional hispanic family. Me being from the south, I had a double wammy with them when we married. Things that just seemed so normal to me seem weird to them and vice versa. It is a work in progress and we have been married for almost 18 yrs.

I am sorry I offended you. Please don't lurk. Everyone has an opinion here, and yours is just as important.

I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am that these things are being said. 

I've enjoyed talking to you, and most of the rest of the monkeys here over the last weeks.  I don't understand the ugliness but I guess people have too much time on their hands and not enough positive ways to use it.
