Mind you the room is still in the makings -

This room prior to the photo was " 1924 dirt floor with Cinder block Cement walls " that was filled with MOLD and Disgusting everything you can imagine. I have gotten this Far and find it quite to be Almost Perfect...
I have been doing this for over a year and gotten this Far - this is my First " Fall/Christmas in my Living Basement" ...  that's my Daddy Cat " Timmy" he was helping me take pics .. I ran out of nails or the other pic would be hung ...

That is gorgeous. It is prettier than my living room. Timmy looks like our Smokie cat.

I always got out voted one the pink tree. Do any of you remember those colored wheels the turned, you would plug it in and it would shine on your tree. Blue, red, green and yellow I think. Our first Christmas we were living in DC we got a little aluminum tree with one of those lights.  Then we left to go to Calif, for Christmas. 

I had to take my mama's aluminum tree away from her. She put it up for years, and it was pathetic. My kids would bite their lips to keep from laughing, and I was afraid she was going to electrocute herself with that old color wheel light. Nothing worse that a raggedy 20 year old aluminum tree. 

Fanny? Those trees are making a real comeback! I saw one the other day in an antique shop for $125.00 bucks!

I'll have to raise the neckline on that one. Too much bewb showing. I added the green to the top one last year for the same reason. 

You should bring the bewbs out for Christmas.

Thank You CBB .. this house is to be the death of me. Everyone Wishes and Dreams of having an old house to " refurbish" and bring up to par ........ Hhah hah hah hah .. I say Think First .. think hard. Its not all that by any means .. its almost brain surgery. You have to consider the era of the house ( with its internal issues $$$ unfounded until you start ripping it apart) and attempt to  make it your own personal space at the same time.  Without losing the Craft of the house itself.  Its so hard.  So hard.

I know what you mean about an old house. I use to live in a two story house, with a before Girl Cave. Just like what you said. Dirt floor and all.

Those trees were so up town. We used it 2 years then moved back to Calif and Real Trees from that time forward.  The light wheel went the way of parts for a science project for oldest son.
