Oops....forgot to mention....

when I post, it shows "done" like I should be back in the thread....but sometimes I have to click back twice and refresh in order to get back to the thread and show my post...

This sounds sort of nutty I guess....but it is my only solution to staying on SM and being able to read.

I would put this next statement in the little tiny print....but I can't do that right now...
so let me say....I think it is the flashing ads....lol.

I could be the ADS.  I don't see them, I use FireFox now and a program addon for it called ADBLOCKPLUS.  I was having so many problems with IE and IE8 that I gave of on IE and went to FireFox.  I really like FireFox now.

I agree....because with my "system" I still have all of the animated avatars and all of the smileys on other posts.  The only thing I am doing is stopping the flashing ads and pop-ups.

Hey Klaas? Seriously, my older avi threads can be moved, shut down, or whatever. Is there a way to deactivate them and bring them back to life as a Holiday approaches?

I was about to PM you about them. Klaas, there's a new development with the pop-ups for me. I can't always close them. Even when I can refresh the forum, once there's an accumulation of pop-ups, they won't close for me until everything eventually freezes and I start all over.

I think it's almost all servers that are acting up. Mine has been slower but working better today, friends and family have been having problems too with their servers all different. Don't know but that I would put that out there.

  AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! That's just pouring salt on the wound!! I can't believe there's a spot on the map that's above 70 degrees right now!! I'll be thinking of you when I'm wearing a snuggie over my coat to go out to the mailbox!!!

If you use Firefox you will not have flashing ads.

oopsss I should have read ahead.  Firefox is great and the adblockplus is a lifesaver

mine do that too....find sun and they are there. unfortunately not much sun here so both are snuggled on one bed with their tee shirts on
