I have a few good recipes for finger foods and desserts both. I will try to post some tomorrow. Sunny have you ever tried the lil smokies sausages in apple jelly and mustard? Or just regular hotdogs chopped up.

Darla, please post them....I am always looking for new finger food/appetizer recipes!  Apple jelly and mustard?  Nope but sure would like to!!!  I love the little smokies wrapped in fillo dough and baked

Darla you are in my thoughts and prayers  an angelic monkey Sunny what a horrible accident and having to be in a back brace for a year, how awful  an angelic monkey

It was not pleasant......but I did exactly what the doctors said to do as I didn't want to have surgery.
That's really good, I went to three doctors and then made up my mind that I wasn't going to have surgery on my back. Back and neck surgery, especially neck is scary.

That's really good, I went to three doctors and then made up my mind that I wasn't going to have surgery on my back. Back and neck surgery, especially neck is scary.

MY DIL had back surgery 3 months ago. They went in through the front of her throat. The scar is minimal and her recovery time was so much shorter. She and my son just got back from a week in MX. She wore her soft collar while traveling and when she felt some strain...but other than that she did great. She put off this surgery until she simply couldn't take the pain any more. For her, it was a good thing. I didn't want the surgery either.....so the trade off was the brace....ohmygawd how uncomfortable that thing is. It's not called a turtle shell for no reason!! Transferring to a hyperextention brace after 9 months was like getting out of a straight jacket!

Apple jelly and mustard sounds strange I know, but it like a barbecue sauce. My grandkids love it with just hotdog wieners chopped  in it. And it is so simple to make.

I have had 2 neck surgeries, both through the front and it was easy surgery compared to the lower back surgeries.

I was suppose to have lower back surgery, they were going to put some kind of metal bars, and when the doctor was explaining this to me I just sat there laughing. I was in shock and my only reaction was laughing, he must have thought I was crazy. After I left, then it settled in, and then I got very upset. After three opinions I decided no, and thought only if the pain got so severe I would. I have problems once in awhile, but somehow I got very lucky. I didn't realize they go through the front for neck surgery.

Hola! How's everybody?

Finger Food? AHHHHHHHHH!! I have an EASY, EASY, EASY one that tastes great!

SAUSAGE PINWHEELS
1 pound sausage
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

That's it! Lay out a piece of wax paper. Open roll dough and leave in the rectangle shape on wax paper. Sort of pinch together the perforations. Spread uncooked sausage ( with fingers ) on the dough. Roll up like a jelly roll (From the long edge of the rectangle. You end up with a longer thinner roll, not a short fat one.)

You can slice it right then and bake slices in 350* oven until sausage is cooked , but I usually wrap in wax paper and freeze a little for ease of slicing. If I'm freezing for a later day, I finish with a wrap of aluminum foil. Either way, slice thawed roll approx 1/2 in thick, and bake @ 350* approx 15 minutes or until sausage is cooked.
