My son's going to have pretty serious knee surgery this month and my ex will be coming in for it. I'd love that cat to greet him at the door!

I hope your son sails through his surgery and the door doesn't hit your ex in the back on the way out (unless you want it to, of course)!

I am cracking up! It's all this frigid weather! It's snowing as I type! I'm a widdle tired of it right now! I could do that cat impersonation very convincingly!

I'm sick of the snow too!  We have about 14" on the ground and it has been brutally cold here.

 

I guess saying "stay warm" is a given.

CBB, I hope you get around to removing that tree soon.....lol

My son just let me know that they are at the Hotel in Memphis and safe and sound for the night so now I can stop worrying..lol...Oh well I cant help it!

Glad they are safe.  Can't wait for pictures of this little rascal.

How have you been Jackie? I didn't see any pics of your Christmas tree!   

Just trying to stay warm.   How have you been?  Any plans for Valentines day yet?  I hope I get a chocolate diamond from Tiffany's.

Yeah.................. my plans for Valentine's Day are to get adjusted to the ring I'm supposed to help my son pick out to give his girlfriend on Feb. 14th. I'm SO excited!

When I first heard this song, I thought how hard it would be when my son decided to move out and move on with his life.  I know some of it isn't appropriate, but when they sang the title it tore me up.

The flash caught the glass, but hey, I'm no photographer! Now doesn't that tree look like Christmas threw up on it?   

John nor I would give up on our decorations so we put it ALL on the tree!

It's gorgeous!!!  Although it does clash some with that wallpaper.

EVERYTHING clashes with that wallpaper................ but it's MY wallpaper and when the tree isn't there, I love it!   

I wonder what your mom's peacock chairs would look like up against your walls.

jk - my aunt has that same paper and loves it!

Those Peacock chairs are due to be recovered............... like immediately! John's Corgi (Rudy) loves to dig. John asked out of the blue the other night if I'd like to recover the chairs, and even suggested we go to a great upholstery shop in Asheville and make a day of it. I was thinking, "Aw, how nice!"

The following day, I happened to walk into the living room and discovered the source of all that "niceness". Rudy has "dug" the ottoman to the Peacock Chairs into shreads!   

Uh-oh!  I hope you pick out the most expensive fabric you can find.

I'm looking for Corgi fur!

Well it looks like Harley may make it through. He is in surgery for one of his back legs; it was fractured in 4 places!  They are putting pins in it. He has already had surgery on his other leg & has a yellow cast with blue paw prints(the only bright spot i could find in all this). He will need alot of tender loving care for the next several weeks but they should be able to bring him home tomorrow. I just can't believe this tragedy turned out as well as it did, he was just meant to be here. He does have to come through this surgery though so say a little prayer for him  BBl

My daughter has promised to take pics of Harley in his casts; i  hope he gets to come home today! I'll let you all know. Thank you so much for your prayers; it's working!! 

CBB, that Christmas tree is beautiful!! With the snow in the background it looks like one i saw in Southern Living Magazine!! 

KCJackie, I'm an Idol fan too & I just heard this morn that Simon's leaving  but he's bringing X Factor to Fox & it's about the same thing, just no age limits! It ought to be fun!!

HH, I can't wait to see a pic of that puppy, he sounds gorgeous!

I don't have evidence yet, but I suspect Petey has been cleaning the toilet at night.     When I went to get him this morning he had the toilet brush with him in his bed 

If it happens again tomorrow I'll attempt to get a photo of it

This is just hilarious.  I am loving it.  I HAVE to get me a little pupply dog.
