Why is it that ALE can figure out that Joran's "I'm home" text message to Deepak refutes his story that Deepak took him to the VDS home after the beach (hence their confronting him with that message in his June 14 interview), but can't figure out it also refutes the theory that Deepak took Joran and Natalee to the VDS home instead of the beach?    

For the love of God, it could hardly be more obvious that the VDS home was not the crime scene.  The evidence and logic against it is overwhelming.  Not even a 1% chance.  They never went to the VDS home, that was just a diversion created by Joran in his second version, which for some reason not just ALE but also virtually everyone on the pro-family boards has completely fallen for. Very frustrating and depressing.

So are you saying that the sloot property should never have been searched?

I think a simple text message is way too thin to just dismiss the sloot family compoud as a possible crime scene or possible crime after the crime scene.

LOL!! Sorry you all! Right now my days are all running together, my mother was on a bus a few weeks ago going on a trip to the Beautiful Pocono Mts. here in PA, for a few nights. She went on a bus trip with a seniors group she belongs to. When they were about 5 miles away from their destination, she hadda go to the bathroom on the bus. As she was walking back to her seat, the busdriver slammed on his brakes. The thrust of it lifted my Mom offa her feet and threw her across the floor of the bus. She broke her hip. I have been going back and forth to her home to help her, and I swear, one day runs into the next lately!! By the way though, she IS doing a lot better now, it is almost 4 weeks since it happened. I have been trying to help her!!

Elaine!  Tell me this was reported to the bus company's insurance carrier.  The co. I work for insures tour buses among other exciting things.  You wouldn't believe the stuff I see......

Think of this scenario:
Joran and Natalee were driven back to Montanja19 by the Kalpoe car at
1:40 AM and the 4 of them went into Joran's apt.  It could be that the usual M.O. was for Deepak to wait around until Joran was finished with his latest conquest, and then put the drugged female into the Kalpoe taxi to be returned to the vicinity of her hotel.  On this particular night, Joran told Deepak to go home and he would get someone else to do his dirty work, thus clearing the way so that Paul could have his fun.  Joran text messaged Deepak, after a reasonable length of time, and lied to him. After that Joran got on the computer and watched porn to pass the time knowing that he was not going to school hours later.   Remember, Joran lies to everyone (except Freddy...maybe).    There were many crimes and many crime scenes: C&C's - if drugs were put into her drink,and Deepak's car - if she was sexually assaulted while passed out,etc.

what if the "I'm home" really meant - "ok, me and my father just went and retrieved the body now get your ass over here and help me bury it"

Deepak - "your own father, unbelieveable!"

I have never tracked the hits my firewall receives when on SM. but I have looked/followed the hit log when on eBay last year, where I'd get more than the usual hits, especially on weekends and Holiday weekends.

I did two individual  minutes of testing while here and here is the info:

Sometimes my log will say the ISP or company the hits are coming from; then sometimes it says "unknown"

so I then researched using the ISP # ex. 70.84.227.226 and e2.e3.5446.static.theplanet.com at http://ws.arin.net/whois where you can trace all IP #s

I found out that 70.84.227.226 and e2.e3.5446.static.theplanet.com  are from "theplanet.com" ISP out of Dallas, TX. Knowing the ISP number and the name of the provider attached to it, doesn't mean that I or they would know who is sending it. To achieve that you'd have to complain to them. http://ws.arin.net/whois usually provided an address, owner and an email for abuse.

I am concerned about the one that says static... for a to get a static site you have to pay more for a static site is used by businesses, those into playing games online and gambling.

Since a few hundred hits came from them in those 2 minutes I will email them via the abuse email and giving the times, and then what site I was own (Scared Monkeys) for they might have someone using their ISP Internet Network for ill gain.
      abuse@theplanet.com  IPS service out of Dallas, TX.  Plus I think it is an Darnn  thing someone is attempting to find out/ or get into my computer.. if the computer is live at this end.

These hits usually,  have nothing to do with being on the SM site when they come in. Happens at all sites. Of course, the world isn't perfect so many one could wish ill things to Monkeys, but that is why we have firewalls and watch out for each other/

I feel extra safe here for Red, Tom require us to be members and our posts are monitored.. so I feel safer when I am logged on. But you can gets hits anywhere... it's just the way the Internet is.

"dialup-4.232.228.171.dial1.losangeles1.level3.net" I already know that level3.net is a huge Internet Provider out of Colo. and provides the Internet portals for some of Earthlink,  universities,  and govt. sites, et al from their press releases.

I knew this for about a week ago my Earthlink went down (first time in 12 yrs) and the cust. rep told me all level 3's were down. I had no idea what a lever3 was, so found out.

I needed to go online immediately so figured I'd see if an Earthlink # in Indiana was up and running. It was, for that particular tele. # access didn't use a level3 portal to get into the Internet. (it was long distance so an expensive 10 minutes online)

"dialup-4.232.228.171.dial1.losangeles1.level3.net" is interesting to me in another way for that is how I am coming online now.. at least the location but many use Earthlink same ISP # portal. I don't think I could ping myself or try to hack into myself. Help Metro?

There is no abuse email address listed but from the info above I know I can use the email given to get to Mr. Freedman.

These hundreds of hits concern me as I believe AKAMAI is a info mining company that helps generate revenue among sites.

I know I have a lot of cookies from them when I visit sites. Their link (for lack of a better term) comes in when I go onto SM.

That kind is OK.... for that is the way I know that companies like Akamai keep track of say for example: when we link from the SM page to amazon.com..... each time we use an advertizing link from SM pages SM gets revenue to help SM stay in business.

But when the Akamai company is sending hits out randomly see if it can find a live computer at the other end,  then this isn't right. It has nothing to do with the particular site I am on. It's Akamai out there, so I will write them and ask why.

If I don't like their response, then there's always the FCC site and FBI site to complain to about online invasions.

Monkeys... always have a firerwall working, one for your dail-up, cable et al and another if you use wi-fi. The Macs with OS X vs. from about OS 10.3++ have them build it , but you have to activate it, I think. I know mine is on, but I don't know if it came that way or an Apple rep. did it when I got my new hard disk a few weeks ago and he told me it was on.

Now my backup external Hard Disk drive has gone down. UGH and it was only 3 mos. old.

PS....It's also a good idea to clean out your browser's cache files (look under preferences) and clear out all cookies that you don't want ie: keep the ones your recognize like sites where your passwords are stored online where you shop. I do this cleaning after each session on line and sometimes when online if I don't what the next site I go to, if they have cookies, I don't what them to know where I have been.     Guess I just don't like nosey people.

Diario December 8, 2006: Taped Conversation

ORANJESTAD(AAN) In the investigation as to the disapperance of the American girl, Natalee Holloway, there are matters that anyone with two cents of brains can tell that those who werer interrogated know more than they have said so far, and the investigation itself is one filled with controversy.

Today, the investigative team of DIARIO is reproducing some parts of a police report that was made and in which the peoples of Aruba and the United States and Holland, where there is the greatest interest for the solution of this case, we can see quite clearly how the suspects themselves contradict each other, point fingers at each other, and raise the suspicions on themselves when they give all indications that something bad happened to Natalee.

A police report made up with regards to the conversation secretly recorded in the back of a police car when the three suspects, Joran van der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were being transported to KIA, amongst other things, the following stnds out:

Deepak says to Joran; “ You can fix everything at once, you know."

Joran tells Deepak: "Like what?"

Joran tells Deepak: "You too can fix everything."

Joran to Deepak: "What do you meen make thing well, how make things well?"

Deepak to Joran; “You have to just tell the truth.:

DIARIO: Here again the same three suspects trhow the ball into each other's laps, and everyone who has followed this case closely, can deduct that the suspects are giving all indications, or at least create the affirmative impression, that they know very well what happened to Natalee Holloway.

DIARIO: Further on in the conversation, Joran, who in different other declarations, tells the police that he believes that Deepak raped and murdered and then buried the victim by the Fisherman's hut, on other occasions defends Deepak, like when he said that Deepak could never do such a thing, but in this taped conversation he says that he would laugh if they find the girl alive.

Joran to Deepak; “I will laugh if they find the girl alive, f*** you!"
Joran tells the Kalpoe brothers: I know very well that you two are scared.”
Joran tells the brothers Kalpoe; “That is, if you did something to the girl and if they find the girl, we'll see."

Satish tells Joran: "I am not afraid.”
Satish tells Joran: “Why should I be scared?”
Deepak tells Joran: “I want them to find the girl.”
Deepak tells Joran: “You went and said shit about me, that I buried the girl by the Fishermanshut”
Joran tells Deepak: "Who said anything about burying. I didn't say anything about burying."
Deepak tells Joran: "You declared that."

DIARIO: After a lot of accusations between the suspects, where each one accuses the other, Joran tells the Kalpoe brothers the following:

"If they find the girl, then they will see the shit."

DIARIO: What shit is he referring to here, if the police find Natalee?

Later, Joran tells the Kalpoe brothers: "You called via the telephone, to say that I have the jackpot. You said that on the phone, that I have the f***ing jackpot, did you forget that the phone was being tapped?"

DIARIO: What do they mean with the 'jackpot' and the 'shit' that the police will find if they locate Natalee?

Further on, Deepak tells Joran:

“You will get 15 years (in prison) if they find the girl."

DIARIO: Why would you tell your friend with whom you went out so frequently and everywhere, that when the police find the missing girl, they will give Joran 15 years in jail? It's only when someone does something very bad that he can get 15 years of imprisonment, and that is why Deepak says to Joran that he will get 15 years in jail! Anyone would say: under there, there is broken glass and it has sharp edges!

Stay with us, because there is a lot more in the police reports that describe in the minutest and very repugnant details of what was done to different girls by some of the suspects. The DIARIO investigation has now reached the point of NO RETURN!

If my memory serves me right, it was about the time that the cement was poured or just before that Tim from Equaasearch wanted to go in and search the place and he did search the neighbors but Paulus denied a search of his place and (I might be wrong about this, but seem to recall) that Paulus called ALE to Tim to prevent the search.  I am sure Red & Klaas will probaby recall more of this than I do, but I do believe it was about the time the cement was poured or just before that he denied the search.

I remember when Tim searched the neighbors, he stuck a little camera on a pole down in there.  I think they were hoping that it was somehow tied into the slottos well or cistern or whatever it was.

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (4 July 2005) -- From the top of the Hooiberg hill you can see all of the tiny island of Aruba, which is little more than a sliver of white sand set in the sparkling blue of the Caribbean. But Jim Greene, perched half-way up, is not here as a sun-seeking tourist. He is looking for a body.

Greene, who has come all the way from Colorado, has joined dozens of American volunteers scouring Aruba for teenager Natalee Holloway. "This place would make a good dumping ground," said Greene grimly, looking down from the Hooiberg at Red Cross workers surveying two murky ponds below him.

The quest has become an American obsession. Holloway, a blonde Southern belle freshly graduated from high school, has been missing on the Dutch island for a month. Her presumed murder has terrified US parents, risked economic disaster for Aruba and thrown a spotlight on a seamy underside of crime, drugs and drinking on an island that markets itself as "paradise". Now this little slice of heaven has turned ugly.

In the run-up to President George Bush's speech on Iraq last week it was Holloway's face, not the President's, which ruled the US airwaves. Her story has all the classic ingredients: a beautiful victim, a playboy suspect, accusations of corruption in the highest places and an implacable amateur detective in Holloway's mother, Beth Twitty.

But behind the headlines lurks an unpleasant media tale. It is how a young woman's tragedy has been shamelessly used to boost the ratings in cable TV's never-ending battles. And the awful truth that Natalee's death would not have rocked America so much if she had been black. Or Asian. Or poor. Or a boy.

Natalee Holloway was embarked on an American rite of passage that mimics the annual trek by British teenagers to the beaches of Spain and Greece. By the planeload, fresh-faced Americans head to the Caribbean in search of sunny skies, the opposite sex and as much drink as they can handle. At Carlos'n Charlie's bar last week in Aruba's capital of Oranjestad, the rite was in full swing. Barely dressed young teens gyrated on the dance floor and beer was sold -- literally -- by the yard in long, fluted glasses.

A month ago this is where Holloway was last seen alive on the final day of her graduation holiday. It was 1.30am and she drunkenly climbed into a car with three young men: Dutch teen Joran van der Sloot and two Aruban brothers, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe.

That is all we know for sure. The boys, all now in jail, told police they drove to a lighthouse beauty spot in the north of the island. Van der Sloot and Holloway, who had been kissing in the backseat, were then let out at a nearby beach. Van der Sloot says he walked Holloway down the beach and then said goodbye. He headed home. Holloway was never seen again.

That is the simple version. But the three originally claimed to have let Holloway off at her hotel, the Holiday Inn. They said she stumbled into the arms of a hotel security guard. But another story emerged after two of the inn's guards were arrested. Now it seems the Kalpoe brothers did let van der Sloot and Holloway out of the car together.

What happened next is a mystery. Early in the investigation, Aruba's deputy police commissioner, Gerold Dompig, said one of the boys admitted "something bad" had happened to Holloway. Since then the three's stories have shifted as regularly as Aruba's sand dunes.

But the shocking fact is that the three were only identified as suspects due to the efforts of Beth Twitty, who descended on the island from Alabama like an avenging angel. She interviewed Holloway's holiday friends to find out her last movements. She claimed to have swiftly identified van der Sloot from video obtained in a local casino. She confronted the boy and told the authorities that the three had been the last people to see her daughter alive.

Only then, many days after Holloway had been reported missing, did the Aruban police arrest the boys. Such inaction has smacked of a mix of incompetence, Holloway's family says. Van der Sloot's father, Paul, is a respected judge on the island. The family is part of the island's social elite. Joran, despite being 17, was a regular in the casinos. He and the Kalpoe brothers are well known on the island's social scene, regulars at bars frequented by the young Americans.

ARRRGGGH, I misspelled REFERESHER, but if you look at the last sentence (this is from a Carribean newspaper), it is clear they have done this before.

historical notes....and ArbeeJ rightly calling Dan Riehl a liar.

I know Dan's sources. Both refer to the mother's misinterpretation of something her son said. That is, he has heard sexual allegations from two sources: The boy's mother, and another source discussing the boy's mother.
This sort of follows into the "hearsay" conversation we were all having, as well. Dan is reporting this as if it is a factual matter, qualifying it with two sources with "direct knowledge." The sources and I have the same qualifications on this: the mother and I each have a child who was on the trip; the other source has spoken with some of the kids, with the other mother and myself, and with Dan; the other mother and I have each spoken on the phone with each other and with Dan. In this regard, nothing except what the boy might post directly could be considered as more than hearsay. The fact is this: The boy made a remark which the mother misunderstood and repeated to Dan. Dan posted it. Dan was corrected by the boy. Dan deleted the post. Yet tonight Dan made similar, sexual allegations based on information he KNOWS is false. That is my point.

I get McAfee from my ISP for free, plus I have a router with built in firewall.   Seems to work pretty good.
