FYI to anyone thinking of getting the swine flu vaccine.  The US has ordered ones that contain a mercury-based preservative as their primary vaccine.  There is one that is made without mercury that the US has ordered so DEMAND to get that one if you do decide to get the vaccine.  The non-mercury one is meant for pregnant woman and children but you have the right to demand it.

My daughter got one today - with the mercury.   
What do you think of the ones with mercury?   I don't know much about the shots - other than the fact that I plan not to get one.

I have no links to back this up, but have heard: The mercury in the shot is less than that in a can of tuna. Although no one can scientifically prove it, a lot of people think autism is caused by the mercury in kids shots. Maybe later I'll look all this up....but I'm not getting the swine flu shot, no way, no how! It is bad enough to have cancer, but to have to oink every time I cough...dude, I so draw the line at that!!!!

NOROSE, I hope for your sake that everything goes smoothly for you at the family gatherings. 

I just talked to my son and he will be home tonight. He is sick, and I hope he hasn't caught something exotic. I'm making another pot of chili for tonight. It just seems like the right thing to make for this gray, wet, crummy weather. It is going to be raining on them all the way home. At least it won't be ice and snow through the mountains.

Oh no, me too. I just got a call from my older daughter, she is at the doctor now, so I'm waiting to hear. I guess a lot of people at her work have the flu  What I wouldn't give for your weather, may sound silly but it is hot again today, my body doesn't function right in the heat. I love dreary, rainy days fits my personality 

I like to have couple of days like that sometimes.It's quiet,except for the rain.   

My youngest went to the doctor today, too - because she is sick.   They told her if she does have the swine flu, it is a mild case of it.   Maryland is full of the flu right now.        I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to visit my granddaughter again this weekend.

I have a giant pumpkin candy bowl full of candy corn, if you were here I'd give it to you 

We'd be so jacked up on sugar we could push the Witless News car all the way to Tevye's   

C'mon over. Sadly, they didn't give me any good drugs, so I can't share those. But I do have 2 apple pies we could eat.....

My youngest went to the doctor today, too - because she is sick.   They told her if she does have the swine flu, it is a mild case of it.   Maryland is full of the flu right now.        I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to visit my granddaughter again this weekend.

You know, I'm almost to the point where I want to go somewhere and catch it, so I can get it over with - and quit worrying about it!         
Scary stuff, really.   I'm worried about my little grandbaby.  She starts daycare in January so I'm sure she will be exposed eventually.   She only weighs 12 pounds right now - too small to be getting such a serious illness.     I'm worried about all the little children across the country.

You know it is possible that I had it, they tested me for regular flu, but it was negative. So who knows. We don't see patients in my office, but I know the x-rays that we read are all coming with clinical histories of cough and flu. So yeah it is going around here.

Thanks NoRose.   I know my little problems are nothing compared to what Elizabeth and Somer's families are going through.   It sure has been a tough week.
