Evening everyone!  I said I'd let you know if I heard anymore about the missing 7 month old in Chipley, FL.  There has been a POI named but not publicly identified.  They also won't name the parents of so I am thinking it's them.   I can't post a link you can use but you'll have to type it in cause I'm still computer stupid!  Yes, Muffybee showed me how but I gotta get time to go back to the directions here and refresh my brain.  Sorry guys, here it is:

Haleigh Update: Was a Possible Clue Overlooked?

Posted on November 2nd, 2009
by Simon Barrett in crime

This just in from TJ Hart. Overnight a rather interesting tape surfaced. It was passed on to LE however it is not clear what action was taken at the time - Simon

Six-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, FL was taken from her home February 9, 2009. Since then, very few solid clues have turned to help find her.

At this point, investigators are looking at every piece of evidence and reviewing everything they’ve gathered so far.

In a tape William “Cobra” Staubs dug up from March 31, 2009, he spoke with Misty Saunders–the stepdaughter of an accused sexual predator Daniel Snodgrass. Details here. http://www.news4jax.com/news/14898136/detail.html

Daniel Snodgrass is the man who tried donate furniture to the Haleighbug Center in Satsuma and ended up causing trouble at the building.

Warning: Adult language and disturbing descriptions.

AUDIO: P.I. William “Cobra” Staubs with Misty Saunders here. http://hosted-media.podzinger.com/wsky/archive/WSKY_News/2009-11-02_Cobra_turns_up_a_clue.WMA

Staubs tells 97.3 The Sky that the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was kept in the loop involving his interview with Misty Saunders and his subsequent search.

Part Two is coming soon

But the mother will not tell them WHERE in the woods she put the baby! It has been really cold for 2 nights now, and raining! I pray for the best, but fear the worst!

Sheriff’s Office Awarded Re-Accredited Status

2009-11-2 by: Lt. Johnny Greenwood
Acreditation Commission Seal

At its meeting in Ponte Vedra, Florida on October 28, 2009, the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) awarded the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office re-accredited status. Re-accreditation was achieved by successfully complying with more than 275 individual standards specifically designed for Florida law enforcement agencies. This is the agency’s 3rd CFA re-accreditation. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was originally accredited in October 2000, and was previously re-accredited in 2003 and 2006.

The accreditation process requires law enforcement agencies to prove compliance in a multitude of areas that touch on all aspects of law enforcement activities, including everything from personnel, training, equipment, criminal and traffic arrests, to record-keeping and budgeting.  The re-accredited status came after a three-day on-site assessment in late August 2009, in which three assessors, selected by the Commission, reviewed the agency and its files. The assessment directly focused on all law enforcement and administrative operations, excluding the agency’s Department of Corrections. The assessors were Commander Brad Hodge (Satellite Beach Police Department), Inspector Jay Leffert (Bay County Sheriff’s Office) and Sergeant Dan Lipker (Punta Gorda Police Department).

Sheriff Hardy wants the citizens of Putnam County to know that receiving re-accredited status is just another example of the continuous effort being taken to provide quality law enforcement services to our community. When you consider the major incidents and events that have taken place since I have taken office, and how busy every one at the agency has been; having an independent assessment team leave our agency without identifying any negative issues is a major relief. I am very proud of each and every member of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, and want to thank them for their dedicated service and high level of professionalism.

Haleigh Cummings Update: Possible Clue Part 2

Posted on November 2nd, 2009
by Simon Barrett in crime

This just in from TJ Hart, you can catch part one here - Simon

More information has come into the 97.3 The Sky’s news room regarding a possible missed clue in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.

As it turns out, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office investigated the claim that very day the tape you heard in Part 1 was recorded which was March 31, 2009.

The claims made by Misty Saunders to Private Investigator William “Cobra” Staubs indicated she believed her step father, accused capital sex offender Daniel Snodgrass, had something to do with Haleigh Cummings disappearance. Saunders believes Snodgrass might have dismembered and killed children in a shed on the property owned by her mother.

Sources close to the investigation reported to the Sky under the condition of anonymity Monday that “Putnam County investigators looked into this claim and there was nothing to it. They did not find any evidence to indicate that Mr. Snodgrass had anything to do with this. Deputies looked at him as with many other offenders, and didn’t find anything there.”

These same source also say the investigation into the shed and its findings of blood splatters were consistent with that of someone who brought in hunted animals to the shed to clean like deer or wild turkeys.

The tools found in the shed were also consistent with the cleaning of dead animals.

In a later conversation with Staubs Monday, he stated he was present when sheriff’s deputies arrived and swabbed the sheds. He claims he asked for a more detailed search.

As each investigator reviews the clues and interviews in Haleigh’s abduction, there is that hope that something new will pop and the child will be found. However, this appears this is another dead end in long the search for Haleigh.

Haleigh is described as a now 6-year-old white female. She is approximately 3′0, 39 lbs, blonde hair & brown eyes. Unknown clothing description.

Haleigh was last seen at her residence in the Hermit’s Cove area of Putnam County on February 9, 2009 between the hours of 8-10pm.

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued. An additional $30,000 in rewards have been posted.

If you have any information and wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477) or you can Text your tip by Texting “TIP231 plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).

I think I got it, think that poster meant 116 Tyler St, home of Tommy Croslin

there is rumor out there that Donald Lee Sapp is related to Lindsy Croslin and lived with the Croslins for awhile.

Lindsy posted on Topix early on that she is not related to this Sapp.

Not sure what the truth is.

OS

Lindsy is related to Guy Sapp.

I can't get that link to open, I have never been able to prove Guy Sapp and Donald Sapp are related. They could be, I just can't find

it.

I guess the bigger question is was Donald Lee Sapp at 116 Tyler the day HaLeigh went missing.

Thanks

After reviewing "Rooster's" record, we can all see that Teresa Neves knows her way around the criminal block, that's for sure. WOW, what a record.

It is very strange that Teressa could land a job as a dispatcher in a sheriff's dept. with her husband having a record like that.

Ron C certainly came along with some real baggage, so to speak, easy to see where he could be an "addict" of alcohol or      , with his background and family.

This behavior I have witnessed from this family is very strange, to say the least. It seems like we are watching a 2009 sequal to "Deliverance". Frankly, it scares the beejeesies out of me.

When the search began for Haleigh Cummings and Somer Thompson, two North Florida girls who disappeared this year from their neighborhoods, officers immediately started questioning registered sex offenders living near their homes.
Investigators spoke to 44 sex offenders within a 5-mile radius of Haleigh's Putnam County home, where she was last seen on Feb. 9.

To me it is VERY scary how many SO are out there. There is just no way for cops to keep an eye on all of them. That's why I am for a big tattoo on the forehead of any that are predators or child molesters. I know the argument that many are on the registry because they slept with a 15 year old that lied to them about her age - my answer is "Then keep it in your pants until you know the person more and have met her family and are MARRIED"  Hard rule to enforce (the married part!) but still I do not have much pity for anyone that gets on the list.
