Casey Anthony & The Knife
Friday, October 23, 2009
By Express
State Prosecutors asked  Cindy about the knife found in Casey Anthony’s car.  It was a ‘’steak knife”, a household weapon .   Was this knife used to cut the Duct Tape that was found wrapped around Caylee’s skull?   Or did Casey simply use the knife to cut off tags from the new clothes she bought using stolen money…..  It appears it was most likely used during the time Caylee was ‘’supposedly” missing as it was in the front seat area.   Below is a copy of  Cindy’s deposition regarding the ‘’steak knife”.  (note: I had to cut/paste & a couple of the questions overlap)

Just one more proof that Spindy knew from the first what must have happened, and she washed the steak knife in the dishwasher. There was probably residue from the adhesive from the duct tape still on it.

No doubt in my mind that there was residue on that knife.  I just wonder why Cindy wasn't asked the next obvious question......Didn't you think it was odd that a knife was in the car that was on the bottom tray and was never used by the family?  There is no good reason that Casey had this knife in her car.

(Trimm, I snipped to shorten this up a little, hope you don't mind)

Who in the world calls a STEAK knife a FLATWARE knife?  No one!  I don't care if it was included in a set or not.  Just proof again that Cindy was trying to get away with lying.  She thought they would be satisfied with her little twist of calling it a flatware knife.  Oh, wait, that's not a lie - it's a half-truth or a mis-truth, so that must be OK then.

Good morning ALL Monkeys  an angelic monkey

That is the one thing I don't understand, KC's purse on the front seat, if CA was in possession of her purse when she picked up the car, how come CA didn't go through it then and remove the money and her sears card or whatever? Instead she sends LA to go and get her belongings from her boyfriends apartment, which included her purse...Um...

I've been out of commission for a while so needless to say I'm WAY behind.  It took me a week to read through the depositions that were recently released (haven't quite finished with Cindy's yet because she makes my head spin) and I just finished catching up at Blink's site.

As I was reading through the depositions it seemed to me that the questions being asked were geared on gathering information on 3 very specific topics (this is just my opinion and I'm quite curious what other monkeys got out of them).

1.  It seems to me that the State gathered information proving that Casey's family has never (starting at very young age) held her accountable for her actions.  Additionally, her family members have a history of covering for her/making excuses for her/carrying on as if the situation Casey created never happened.

2.  It appeared to me that the State was very interested in obtaining information on what involvement the family had in Caylee's death after the fact.  Covering for Casey, making excuses for Casey, and covering up Casey's deed.

3.  Lastly, I got the impression that the State was fishing (not meant in a bad way) for information related to Baez's involvement in a cover-up or at the very least Baez's conduct as it relates to being a go-between for Casey and her family.  Were/are there unethical things going on?

Perhaps it's already been discussed here but I just haven't read back far enough yet.  If that's the case perhaps somebody could point me to a good starting place?

Oh, and I just wanted to mention that when reading Lee and George's depositions they sure pushed a lot onto Cindy.  I can see where Cindy may be in some serious trouble regarding this.  Even her own son and husband have thrown her under the bus, probably unknowningly.

ANNETTE, so  good to see you again. You've condensed it pretty well yourself. I would not begin to know where to tell you to start with all of this mess. The State has made it quite clear that they think there is something underhanded going on with BAEZ. Even had an in camera meeting during a court session about it. It seems the defense is dumb when it comes to writing motions and defending their client, but slicker than snot with covering up their crooked money dealings.  JMO

Forgive me for buttin in....im new.
This case has bugged me so much from the very start.
I saw today that Casey made the front page of a rag-mag.
Showed a picture of her showing off a tattoo on her shoulder.I dont recall what it said though and I did not purchase the magazine.
Has there been any new news?

Hi Monkeys! I haven't posted in quite some time, but have been reading all of your posts. Thanks so much for keeping me up to date.  Since you mentioned the knives... it sure seemed odd to me when CA mentioned keeping two silverware containers and stacking them one on top of the other.  Apparently that's why she didn't notice one was missing.  Well, does anyone else stack their silverware like this? I can't seem to imagine how that would work. Just a random thought, but it sure struck me as odd.

If only Cindy's mother would grant an interview.  Granny has the maturity and good sense in that family.

That would be a very interesting interview.

Sure would - mostly because it would the truth.
