If I knew that NeJame gave him money, I had forgotten it. There's not much info here to give clues as to what he did.   

JUst a guess on my part, but it sounds to me he showed up for work "impaired," going by the wording.  JMO

That's a very good guess, IMO. I'd take that bet, and I think I hope that's the reason. I'd love to see Baez try to spin gold from the fact that his discovery of a baby's body has haunted him and driven to drink. ( just pure speculation, but the best light I can think of under the circumstances. )

I still want to know who was on the other end of the conversation the day Caylee was found when they were recording the 911 phone call, and Kronk said, "I told you she was there." And the other person on the radio said, "NO I TOLD YOU SHE WAS THERE." I wonder if he is fired too?

Steven Soderbergh's Play To Open In Australia

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Steven Soderbergh, the director of the Sex, Lies, and Videotape and the Ocean's Eleven movies, has a new project -- a play about Casey Anthony.

Called "Tot Mom," the play is scheduled to open Dec. 18 at the Sydney Theatre Co. in Australia. According to the theater's Web site, the play uses "excerpts from transcripts of Nancy Grace’s show, court documents and police reports" to tell "a compelling drama for our sensation-hungry times."

Nancy Grace, who has a nightly show on CNN, uses the term "Tot Mom" in her extensive coverage of the Casey Anthony case
The Sydney Theatre Web site says Soderbergh is the play's creator and director. It says "Tot Mom" will look at how Nancy Grace's "public crusade for justice for little Caylee transformed the case from a tragic story to a 24-hour news spectacle."

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of her daughter, Caylee, who was 2 when she was reported missing in 2008. The child's body was found in Orange County woods in December 2008 not far from the home where she had lived with her mother and grandparents.

Casey Antony is being held on no bond in Orange County Jail awaiting trial in 2010.

The play runs through the end of January

Roy Kronk Loses Job, His Lawyer Says

ORLANDO, Fla.-- Roy Kronk, the Orange County worker who found Caylee Anthony's remains, was fired this week.

Kronk's lawyer David Evans tells WESH 2 News that Kronk was fired over an issue related to worker's compensation.

Kronk was receiving working at a county warehouse and suffered a shoulder or neck injury.

"There's a dispute between Roy and the county over a job-related injury," Evans said. "Roy is going to consider what his options are."

Kronk was working as a meter reader in December 2008 when he found the remains of Caylee Anthony in woods not far from where the girl lived with her mother, Casey, and grandparents.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Caylee's death and faces trial in 2010.

Evans was paid by Orange County to represent Kronk, who faces a deposition in the Anthony case next month.

If I knew that NeJame gave him money, I had forgotten it. There's not much info here to give clues as to what he did.

Roy Kronk, the utility meter reader who found Caylee Anthony's bones, has been fired by Orange County.

Kronk was terminated late Tuesday after failing to attend a disciplinary hearing for an as-yet-undisclosed issue, records show.

"Roy Kronk was scheduled to attend a pre-determination hearing yesterday to address issues pertaining to his employment with the County. He failed to show for the hearing, and a decision has been issued terminating his employment effective immediately," the county wrote Kronk's lawyer. "Therefore, the County shall not pay any legal fees associated with representing Mr. Kronk that are incurred from this point forward."

The letter was written by Assistant County Attorney Peter A. Lichtman to Orlando lawyer David Evans, who had been paid by the county to represent Kronk after the skeletal remains were found in December.

"We appreciate the courtesy and professionalism you have demonstrated throughout your excellent representation of Mr. Kronk," Lichtman wrote. "Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me."

Kronk had been working most recently in Orange County Utility's fiscal and administrative support division.

Usually if an employer 'lets you go' because you cannot perform the essential functions of the job it is because the employee now has physical limitations that were not present when he was hired - ie if your job involves the ability to lift, bend, carry, transfer wts of 75lbs repeatedly and you are unable to do that, and it wasn't the result of a work injury or disability that stops you,  then they don't have to keep you.

Well, maybe Kronk getting fired isn't as bad as we are led to believe. Maybe he just had a hard time adjusting to all the dramatics associated with finding Caylee and instant celebrity status. He could have just been doing a crap job, messing up and they brought him before the board for review. I have no idea why he wouldn't show up when his job is on the line, but maybe he was disgruntled about his job and the way he was being treated. JMO 

JMO...having been reared in a family with an alcoholic, the first time I saw him my first thought was he was a drunk. Sorry...JMO. But I'd be willing to bet on it. So I think he may have been caught drinking on the job.

I too, feel some compassion for Kronk. I don't really care if he knew beforehand, at least Caylee's remains were found. If not by him, then who? Casey wasn't going to show them where, and neither were the Anthonys. What if her body had not been found by now?

You have more compassion than I do. JMO but I care that he knew beforehand. I care that he let her lay out there and rot when she wasn't found in August. He could have done things a lot differently. He wanted the reward. He also, IMO, wanted a witness, that's why he went back to 'discover' her on company time. Had her remains been retrieved in August there may have been some more forensics.  Greed drove him, but Karma got him.
