Elnor Ostrom becomes first woman to win Nobel Prize for economics

Ms Ostrom, 76, is a political scientist at Indiana University. The prize body said her work showed how common resources, such as oil fields or grazing lands, can be managed successfully by the people who use them, rather than by governments or private companies.

I wonder if someone will conclude that governments don't do a good job of managing healthcare, insurance, banking, or other businesses/

Prize committee member Per Krusell said: "There has been a huge discussion how the big investment banks have acted badly, with bosses who have misused their power, misused their shareholders' confidence, and that is in line with (Mr Williamson's) theories,"

What about big government and schemes like Social Security and Medicare?  Anything left in the trust fund?  Anything left and some want to reallocate it to Obama's healthcare reform?
