Why would Misty lie and state there were 2 children in the vehicle when on the incident report in states no one under 18 were present or did LE make another typo error.- This is under Miscellaneous in the incident report..

Because she would not know how to tell the truth if it slapped her in the face

She was noting there were 2 children in the vehicle, her and Ron.

I am just having a hard time wrapping my brain around more trouble in Putnam County involving these folks, and what (if anything) following it will do to help find Haleigh.

Well we have learned some new names that are associated with Misty & Ron.

Charles Jones has a MS and seems he is friends with some other family members on the maternal side of the family. He has a gf named Heather who drives a White Grand Prix per Ron Cummings in the Misty 911 tape. Heather says on her MS she is in love with Charles and they have been together for a year. So I doubt Misty and Charles had a thing together, maybe drug thing but not gf/bf thing.

Seems Misty was not being truthful when she said she didn't know anyone around the area (not exactly her words, but close enough and I don't have a link, just remember her saying something like that) We know she was with 2 friends during the 911 call where she was trying to buy drugs and got hurt.

Wonder if there is a connection back to the Croslin brothers with CJ.

I find it interesting since CJ's name has been mentioned LE is saying they have new leads in the case.

However I have to agree with you, what does it have to do with HaLeigh and will it lead to finding her.

That is all I am interested in and I know everyone here feels the same way.

I wish Ron would go to bed at 9 pm, get up early go to LE  each and every day, til HaLeigh is found.

My momma always told me nothing good happens after 9 pm. So I was always in by 9. Wish Ron's momma would tell him that and he would listen.

Ron imo. needs to stay completely away from Misty, she is bad news and nothing or no one is going to change that IMO.

Top 10 stories of 2009 (No. 1): Where's Haleigh?

On Feb. 10 at 3:27 a.m., the now 6-year-old blond-haired, hazel-eyed kindergartner was reported missing from her Satsuma home.

Her 17-year-old babysitter, who then went by Misty Croslin, reported her missing after she awoke at 3 a.m. to use the restroom and noticed Haleigh's bed empty.

Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, was returning from his night shift at his job working for PDM Bridge when Croslin told him sobering news.

An Amber Alert awaited the nation at 8 a.m. while law enforcement commenced massive searches involving helicopters, dive squads, canine units and search teams.

The homes of registered sex offenders were investigated while roadblocks required vehicle searches.

Two separate camps were soon erected in the neighborhood, housing the maternal and paternal sides of Haleigh's family in decorated tents. For over a month, they remained aglow with hundreds of candles used in nightly vigils.

Supporters from throughout the country trekked to Satsuma to offer help and sympathy to the family, while media buzzed throughout the two camps conducting interviews and updates.

The couple, as well as Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, all took on attorneys to help manage public attention.

Funds were set up to raise money for Haleigh, which were used to print fliers and T-shirts, which allowed the 6-year-old's face to become a familar sight.

A "Haleigh House" building was even rented by Sheffield to be used as a fundraising and information shelter. The once-purple building is now in other hands.

Little was revealed within the investigation. No sign of the child could be found, and trained canines could not trace Haleigh's scent.

Almost exactly a month after Haleigh's disappearance, Croslin married Haleigh's father.

Because she was under 18, Croslin obtained signed permission from her parents before the two were wed at a Welaka family member's home.

The couple held custody of Haleigh's younger brother, Ronald Junior, though an investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services was conducted at the request of Sheffield's attorney.

Headlines on nationwide media outlets broadcasted the drama unfolding, soon to turn into a Jerry Springer-like meltdown that would encompass the next six months.

Authorities have said Misty Croslin - now known as Misty Cummings - continued to deliver conflicting stories. They have also said numerous inconsistencies have been noted in her account of what took place between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. the evening Haleigh disappeared.

Investigators have also repeated that she is the crucial link to solving the child's disappearance, and she "continues to hold important answers."

The couple appeared on television talk shows, including CNN's Nancy Grace and CBS's "The Early Show," to answer questions and replay the events of Haleigh's final evening at home.

In late August, Cummings failed a series of tests taken in an effort to discover more information according to EquuSearch founder Tim Miller.

After seven months, Haleigh's father divorced the former babysitter, citing too much public attention and pressure.

Despite FBI and Florida Department of Law enforcement assistance to local law enforcement, no sign of Haleigh has been found, and an Amber Alert remains for what has become Putnam County's missing angel.
