snipped from the police report

Ronald stated Misty Cummings was in the truck with him and he had her call 911 about what was occurring.

Ronald stated he was picking up Misty from Buffalo Bluff to get the rest of her belongings from his house. Ronald stated that he did indeed have a gun but did not carry the gun with him. Ronald said he kept the gun in a gun cabinet inside the house.

Ronald then supplied the location to the firearm and access to it.
Ronald stated the gun is always secured inside the gun cabinet in the house and he did not have it during the incident.

Ronald signed/completed a voluntary statement.

just wanted to verify the cabinet thing and it speaks of a single gun not firearms.... so why the need for a cabinet.... like i said i wonder how many empty slots and where were the other guns.... maybe in a ditch I guess

Well, a cabinet and a closet are two different things in my world. LOL

Maybe Ronald finally put the gun(s) into a locked cabinet after the Tim Miller incident. Since it is the law to have them locked around children, I believe. (I also remember us discussing that.)

yup2 diff things to me too... that is why i asked about your friend with a built in cabinet that came with the mh... does that look like a closet and maybe ron threw a lock on it... he is a locksmith that put on the back door locks according to him

Nope. Can't imagine anyone looking at it and calling it a "closet."

Well, maybe Misty, with her lack of vocabulary. LOL

Sorry, that was uncalled for.

LFlorida says to  (09:21:43):
I never thought about the church, either, but it's a great idea.

Denny Griffin says to  (09:21:48):

LFlorida says to  (09:23:11):

Denny Griffin says to  (09:23:12):

KarenO says to  (09:23:12):

There is no firearms registry in the State of Florida.  It is prohibited.

http://wapedia.mobi/en/Gun_laws_in_the_United_States_(by_state)?t=5.#10.

10. Florida
Subject/Law    Long guns    Handguns    Relevant Statutes    Notes
State Permit to Purchase?    No    No    None    No
Firearm registration?    No    No    None    No
"Assault weapon" law?    No    No    None    No

Owner license required?    No    No    None    No
Carry permits issued?    No    Yes    Chapter 790.06    Concealed carry only; no open carry allowed, even with permit
State Preemption of local restrictions?    Yes    Yes    Chapter 790.33
NFA weapons restricted?    No    No    None
Peaceable Journey laws?    No    No    None    Federal rules observed.

Florida is a "shall issue" state, and issues concealed carry permits to both residents and non-residents. Florida recognizes permits from any other state which recognizes Florida's permit, provided the non-resident individual is a resident of the other state and is at least 21 years old. [43]

Vehicle carry without a permit is allowed either in a snapped holster in plain view, or when the firearm is concealed if the firearm is "securely encased". "Securely encased" means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container which requires a lid or cover to be opened for access. [44] (Note: this legal condition is not the same as "encased securely.") Vehicle carry without a permit is permitted when concealed even if it is not "securely encased" if the firearm is not "readily accessible". Vehicle carry on one's person inside a vehicle without a permit is not allowed.

Open carry when on foot in a public area is generally not permitted, but is allowed in certain circumstances, as defined in Florida statute 790.25(3). For example, open carry is permitted while hunting, fishing, or camping, or while target shooting, or while going to or from such activities. [45] When hunting on private land, or on properties expressly approved for hunting by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or Division of Forestry, open carry is also permitted.

State preemption laws prohibit localities from regulating firearms, other than with regards to zoning laws (i.e., for restricting where gun sellers may locate their businesses.)

Firearm regulations are uniform throughout the state, and a carry permit is valid throughout the state, in all areas other than in a few specially-defined areas. These specially-defined prohibited areas include:

    * federally-controlled areas (such as national parks, inside the boundaries of which guns must be kept securely locked.),
    * in or around specially-marked buildings/grounds (notably, mental hospitals and any hospitals with provisions to treat mental illness, where concealed carry is a felony even with a permit (F.S. 394.458). F.S 394.458 does state concealed carry is prohibited "unless authorized by law". Since F.S. 790.06(12) does not prohibit concealed carry in hospitals that treat mental illness by permit holders, it can be inferred that concealed carry with a permit is allowed. Caution is advised since there currently is no case law. In other words, no case has been referred to a Grand Jury nor has any person been tried for violating the law. One Florida resident was arrested but the charges were subsequently dropped after their attorney successfully argued the permit holder was excepted. Be advised each county's prosecutor may have a different opinion.
    * any place of nuisance,
    * Sheriff's Office,
    * Police Station,
    * Jail,
    * Prison,
    * Courthouse,
    * Polling Place,
    * any Governmental Judicial meeting,
    * any school or college,
    * lounges,
    * bars,
    * airports,
    * professional athletic event, and
    * any federal buildings or property.

As of October 1, 2005, Florida became a "Stand-your-ground" state. The Florida law is a self-defense, self-protection law. It has four key components:

   1. It establishes that law-abiding residents and visitors may legally presume the threat of bodily harm or death from anyone who breaks into a residence or occupied vehicle and may use defensive force, including deadly force, against the intruder.
   2. In any other place where a person “has a right to be,” that person has “no duty to retreat” if attacked and may “meet force with force, including

deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.”

   1. In either case, a person using any force permitted by the law is immune from criminal prosecution or civil action and cannot be arrested unless a

law enforcement agency determines there is probable cause that the force used was unlawful.

   1. If a civil action is brought and the court finds the defendant to be immune based on the parameters of the law, the defendant will be awarded all

costs of defense.

As of July 1, 2008, Florida became a "Take your gun to work" state (F.S. 790.251). A new statewide Florida law went into effect on this date prohibiting most businesses from firing any employee with a Concealed Weapon License for keeping a legal firearm locked in their car in the company parking lot. The purpose of the new law is to allow CWL holders to exercise their Second Amendment rights during their commutes to and from work. Exceptions listed in F.S. 790.251(7) include school property, correctional institutions, property where a nuclear-powered electricity generation facility is located, property upon which substantial activities involving national defense, aerospace, or homeland security are conducted, property upon which the primary business conducted is the manufacture, use, storage, or transportation of combustible or explosive materials, a motor vehicle owned/leased/rented by your employer, and any other property upon which possession of a firearm is prohibited pursuant to any federal law, contract with a federal government entity, or general law of Florida. Currently, a test case involving Walt Disney World Resort is going through the courts, involving a former Disney security guard who was fired, despite having a CWL, for having a firearm locked in his car on July 1, in violation of Disney's pre-existing and strict no weapons allowed policy. Disney claims that they are exempt from the new state law, on the basis of their having a fireworks license for conducting nightly fireworks shows at Disney World. [46] [47]

Florida law allows private firearm sales between residents without requiring any processing through an FFL. Florida law also permits larger municipalities to elect to require a concealed carry permit for a buyer to purchase a gun at a gun show from another private individual without any delay, but in practice, this applies only to a few of the largest municipalities (Miami, Orlando, etc.) where it has been invoked.

Currently, Florida's Concealed Weapon License is one of the most widely-recognized, state-issued concealed weapon permit. The resident Florida Concealed Weapon License is recognized in thirty-three different states, while the non-resident Florida Concealed Weapon License is recognized in twenty-seven states. [48]

WOW~That's scary!! I bought my gun in TN and it was registered, but I did know that they reciprocate on CCW's.

snipped
speaking of misty's vocab.... i just played a litlle game with myself that you should try... go back to the interview and every time misty stopped herself mid sentence and talked about something else usually indicated by  "...." fill in the blanks...it is quite interesting to see what her brain was thinking but caught herself before her mouth said it

thanks for the laugh

maybe this type of gun cabinet, shows a safe too, most folks i know use a gun safe
children are in the home/ visiting ect.

Just Thinking Outloud.. It seems strange to me regarding the 911 call that Ron was giving Misty the address of Charles Jones. That Ron knew who owner was of the  vehicle that Charles Jones was driving. And it is really strange that on the Police Incident report that the 2 children were not on the report and left out. How convenient LE arrives to talk to Ron after he arrives back home. Misty calls 911 while this road rage is happening with 2 children in the vehicle but does see the urgency to want to leave her name.. Child endangerment I would think you would want to leave your name..
None of this makes any sense, and I wonder who the two kids in the truck where?

IF I had to guess I would say 1 was Ron Jr. I doubt GGMS was home, she would not have allowed Ron to leave with Ron Jr that hr of the nite imo. Maybe other child was a relative of Ron Jr. dunno.

OS
well misty said in the interview that they were going to get her stuff "and have a good night"... leads me to believe that they either planned on dropping jr and another kid off somewhere to be babysat (does his sister have any kids?) or misty rounded up one of her nieces or nephews so they could all go play house... i think we can agree that ron was the one to pull the plug on the relationship even if just for show... maybe she dragged one of the kids with her as a reason to spend time with him

I don't think it was Misty's relative..but don't know for sure. my bet it wasn't.

I don't know anything about Wayanne except from this case.

I thought what she had to say about being in the MH with Crystal and Misty and Misty crying on HaLeigh's bed "I didn't do it" was interesting.

I began to ask questions about HaLeigh's bed, I am interested in the bed.
Evidently LE did not take HaLeigh's bed per Wayanne. I thought that was odd.
Wayanne said they put the sheet from HaLeigh's bed on the ramp. odd again imo.

All in all we ask questions and Wayanne answered, was she being truthful? don't know. but I learned some things mostly

HaLeigh's bed was NOT missing from the MH that nite nor days after.

Wayanne never saw in Ron Jr's bedroom, never saw a bed or mattress for him since she wasn't in his bedroom. Ron Jr slept with Misty.

Wayanne said there was no laundry detergent and that a cousin or close family member told her Misty used dish soap in the washing machine because Ron kept the money.

that's just some of what she answered.

OS

Thanks for getting those Q's answered, I was especially interested in the tidbits she volunteered like Ron keeping control of all the money. Thanks again

hi os
i didn't know anything about her either and googled her when i read the chat last night... i found a youtube video of her when she went to satsuma and an article about her and several others that were not allowed to be at the caylee memorial because according to them she was a child advocate imposter who was trying to write a book... i didn't capture the whole chat but i thought i read her refrencing her book... still not sure what book that is...
and i wondered if she was the third party that said way back that crystal had asked misty for a doll of haleighs and that misty said she would have to ask ron and ron said no.... not sure on that either but that conversation supposedly took place as crystal misty and a third party was in the mh....
i knew le never took her bed as it was in the photos afterwards from when the mh was released back to ron and supposedly the sheeets being out on the porch had something to do with the dogs smelling them...
never heard the dish soap story b4 but it is plausible i guess... but what is also plausible is that was just made up by whoever said that and imo if you are a tight ass with your money and your gf has to use dish soap and or shampoo it is usually because you run out of everything else like no laundry soap then dish soap then when you run out of dish soap then shampoo...

Sorry, the bed issue for me is something else. I was lied to. plain and simple.

I don't know about Wayanne, I think she does write books, kinda like an ambulance chaser imo. But I was glad she answered some questions. I never knew she was in the MH with Crystal and Misty. or at least I didn't remember it if I knew it.

I have heard the dish soap story before.

hhhm yes ambulance chaser was the impression i got too... and as far as the book thing she doesn't have any out yet that i know of and i looked pretty damn hard came across a photographer who did photo books and was almost arrested for photographing her kids skinny dipping... but no books from this wayanne kruger as of yet... makes you wonder if the anthony's were not as paranoid with their ban list as i originally suspected they claimed they got a tip that she would be sneaking in a camera in a diaper bag....weird

what i was trying to say about the laundry soap is i don't doubt that she normally would use alternate soaps and i do not doubt that someone said that that is what she did that night...
what i was trying to say is if you have not just one back up soap like dish but even go so far as shampoo it means you are in the habit of running out of chit a lot... how do we know that she in fact did use dish soap that night maybe she was out of that and shampoo also... with all the drama going on in that house leading up to that night i doubt if ron's priority was taking a trip to wlamart for household goods
maybe that is something she did often and i tend to believe that it was but it does not mean that that is what she did that night...
just saying i think in my earlier post i sounded like i didn't believe you that it was said before and i do

I was asking Wayanne questions, not LF. LF is a poster at WS, don't know if she is a member here or not, don't think so.

It was Wayanne not answering..not LF..I think LF was asking questions too.
Wayanne probably thought she was getting the 3rd degree.

I believe LF lives in the area, I have never read or heard that she said or is related to anyone in this case.

sorry for the stack quotes, but if I try to trim, I will mess it up or get in someone's post.

I would rather not say right now. I just hope the person is reading here and got my message. That's why I bolded that part.

Sorry, it is not nice of me to do that I know. but it's a very long story.

When this stuff happens like the road rage, it sets me off like a freakin cannon. I think here we are, we eat, sleep, live, pray, worry about HaLeigh and these idiots are out creating more havoc and with Ron Jr in the car no less.

It just makes me crazy.. I should just sit on my hands.
