Thanks for the updates.Who didn't see this coming.
Thanks for the updates, I have to say I didn't think they would go this far with Kronk. I will say there is a part of me that is shocked, granted I always felt funny feelings with this man, but with that said, this is beyond absurd.

It's low down & dirty and insulting to everyone's intelligence.  It doesn't even make reasonable sense;  The Defense must be trying to figure out a way to get a kindergarten class in the jury pool.  Boy, those billable hours are sure mounting up.  The stack must be sky high by now ...

Evidence indicating Kronk's "possible history of inappropriate behavior with young girls."
To even make a statement like this is disturbing in itself, what is even going to be more disturbing if this is true. I just don't know what to say. And then the statement about duct tape. All I can say is the defense better be able to prove these accusations 100%, and even if they don't, they have destroyed Kronk's reputation by just making statements like this. I wouldn't even know what to say or do, if something was thrown at me and accusations accusing me of such things. WOW

I know what I'd say:   "Sue the bastards!"

I guess I'm more naive than I ever thought cause I always thought it was law enforcement who named suspects, not the accuseds lawyer? Is this typical for lawyers to actually name another person, I mean aren't the accused pesons lawyers a bit biased when they're naming someone else? I don't recall OJ's lawyers actually naming someone else as a suspect, did I just forget?? Guess I'm just really stupid because I just don't recall this too much. Baez said "just cause the police said it, doesn't make it so" (something like that), and I say JUST CAUSE KC'S LAWYERS SAID IT, DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!

Morning Trim.  See you are hard at work this morning.  Thanks for all you bring!

Baez and his antics are outrageous!

Fail to see what the Anthony's are up to.  Whatever, it can't be good.

Hey Can.

You are right about the Anthonys.

Cool Kronk = Zanny

If this wasn't so pathetically ridiculous, it would be laughable. They have no defense, there are no other suspects, give it up...plead guilty as charged....
She is going down .... PERIOD! This isn't 'reasonable doubt' ... this is harassment-plain and simple and I hope Kronk sues everyones ass

OOPS- hit submit too soon.
It gets hard to credit Baez with any sense with these stupid poorly written motions.

I agree.   In fact, I don't think the Defense team is all that bright.   Wiley & crafty, but not that bright.

How does Baez going after Kronk so strongly fit in with the A's saying they don't want Kronk drug around in the mud?

What's going on?

Maybe they are trying to avoid being sued.

Casey Anthony: Defense team says it knows Casey Anthony isn't guilty of 'intentional first-degree murder'
posted by halboedeker on Nov 20, 2009 8:33:06 AM
The national morning programs usually preview movies ("Twilight") and television series. This morning, they previewed the latest twist in the Casey Anthony case. And some people would say the Anthony case is like a thriller with twists and surprises. The defense delivered a stunner Thursday.

Members of the defense team appeared on NBC's "Today" and CBS' "The Early Show." ABC's "Good Morning America" quickly recapped Thursday's major development: The defense is pointing to former meter reader Roy Kronk, who found Caylee Anthony's remains, as a possible suspect in the child's death. Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in her child's death.

"The Early Show" held the Anthony story for the 7:30 half-hour, when attorney Linda Kenney Baden said there was as much incriminating evidence against Kronk as there is against Anthony. Baden cited the defense's interviews with two ex-wives of Kronk.

"These people have no motive or reason to lie," Baden said, a line sure to surprise anyone familiar with divorces.

"No one investigated any of this," Baden said. "The cops are trying to make a theory fit her. ... They never got Mr. Kronk's cell phone records. They didn't test his DNA. I mean we are four lawyers and two investigators and we've uncovered this. Why couldn't they?"

CBS' Maggie Rodriguez asked why Kronk would alert authorities to the remains if he had killed the child.

"It's easy to snatch a kid away," Baden said. "We see it in Florida every day."

Baden said, "We know our client is not guilty of intentional first-degree murder. We know the evidence has been compromised."

Rodriguez wondered why Baden had worded her statement that way -- "not guilty of intentional first-degree murder."

Baden said she didn't mean that Anthony is guilty of a lesser crime.
"Today" pushed the story into its first half-hour, which is reserved for the biggest news. The Anthony story preceded a segment on Oprah Winfrey's decision to end her television show in 2011.

Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez visited "Today" and said authorities should have investigated Kronk. An incredulous Matt Lauer asked, "Do you really think there is as much circumstantial evidence implicating Roy Kronk as there is implicating Casey Anthony?"

Lyon said, "He's the only who's been with the body. He's the only one who magically discovers it. He takes a day off the day before he discovers it again it in December. He calls his son a month ahead of time and says, 'I'm going to be on TV.' "

Lauer listed problems with Anthony's case: She lied, she partied, she didn't alert authorities for 31 days.

"Those facts will come at out trial," Baez said. "Everything will be cleared up. Everyone wants to try this case today. It's not going to get tried today."

"Good Morning America" started its Anthony story at 7:37 a.m. -- after a segment on Winfrey. No defense attorney appeared on that program.

Reporter Andrea Canning noted that Kronk's attorney, David Evans, "strongly denied" the defense's allegations. The prosecution had no comment, Canning added, but had said he did the right thing in the days after Caylee's remains were found.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- The top lawyer for Casey Anthony is expected to publicly point the finger this morning at the man, they say, killed 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Casey Anthony is charged with first degree murder in her daughter Caylee's death.

Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, is scheduled to appear exclusively on NBC's TODAY SHOW to point the finger at Roy Kronk, the Orange County meter reader who called authorities a number of times over several months in 2008 to report a lead in the search for Caylee.

Eventually, investigators followed up on Kronk's information and found the toddler's remains.

According to recent reports, the motion filed Thursday by the defense claims Kronk has a history of inappropriate behavior with young girls and a history of abusing and restraining women with duct tape.

The defense has asked that Palm Beach County be among the alternative venues for a trial that is expected by next summer.

The Today Show airs on WPTV NewsChannel 5 starting at 7:00 a.m.

OHMYGAWD!!!!!

I hope Kronk has Morgan & Morgan's phone number handy!  After public accusations like that..I'd be suing everyone involved for all the money they were worth..and then whatever they made in the future.  Yep..no good deed goes unpunished..people will be thinking twice about ever getting involved in giving info in a case after this travesty.

I have no idea if the claims are true or not, with inappropriate whatever with little girls, or the duct tape stories. But all I can say is if they are, what in the heck are the chances of a man finding Caylee, with this in his background, besides slim to none? wow

How come anything having to do with KC and why she "partied" while her daughter was missing has to wait till trial, yet they can go on national television today to point the finger at Mr. Kronk? Why does that accusation come out now but KC's story has to wait?? It's like everything they do and say is just plain, stupid. Or maybe I am, I don't know. I just don't get all this and do they really think anyone believes it? How about the evidence showing Kronk did it? Ugh, I should get out of here before I drive myself and everyone else nuts!!

Well I sure hope they're not true, and the Bozo's better have proof to back it up, otherwise it's just one's word against another. It's kind of ironic that they will do the same things to Kronk that they say shouldn't be done to KC. Like I asked before, is it normal for lawyers to actually name another suspect? It's like "oh, KC's innocent until proven guilty, wait for the trial, yadda yadda yadda", then they come out and point a finger at another person as though they know he did it. It's just a very hypocritical thing for a defense lawyer to do.

Really curious on the timing of this filing by the defense - Kronk as a suspect.  Kronk is due back today for furhter depositions.  If I were Kronk, now knowing that these clowns are trying to pin this on him and create a reasonable doubt, I would go with the story, "My girlfriend, who is a guard at the jail where Casey is locked up, over heard her tell her attoreny where the body was."

To echo Sunny in Tx, "OH MY GAWD!!!"
I just read about Baez and Co.  throwing Kronk under the bus.  WTH?  He may have a sketchy character, but for the love of Pete.... And this still doesn't explain Casey's behavior after the 16th of June, 2008.  The sweet little baby is gone and she doesn't tell anyone?  Who threatened her and her family to the point that she was unable to report this to LE?Don't try to blow smoke up my dress and tell me that Kronk was the kidnapper George was supposedly watching.  Didn't he claim that before the remains, George, were discovered?  If they were watching Kronk, wouldn't they have been able to find the body sooner?  There are too many holes in this story to be able to create reasonable doubt that Casey did it.
All I can say is,
