Forty is kind of old to be convicted for this thing, a second career ? Uusally they start younger, maybe another State ?

To me the chin and jaw are nothing alike. One is squared and the other comes to a point at the bottom of the chin.

i agree sort except that i do think it is the same guy just a lot skinnier in one pic... the cheek bones are exact and so are the offset of the smile lines around the mouth... my husband has a cleft chin and he is pretty skinny but when he gains 10 lbs his chin dimple disappears... chins can change with weight gain but cheek bones and smile lines don't

sorry for stacking but KLAAS is this a mug shot ?   and also i think in the tiny pic he is making his face /chin look longer on purpose... you can tell by the deep frown lines... he is definitely extending his face downward and if it is a mug i really do wonder if he wa tring to alter his appearance

Now she COULD be just smirking about the fact that this person will be caught.

There are moments of that video that I totally believe.  I'm not 100% convinced either way on this.  I just see some emotions that seem forced and some that seem hidden.  I just wonder if anyone besides me senses that.

funny that the cops think the guy is watching the case and my gut said that from the beginning... that maybe this guy wanted to play a little hunt game with the cops... and i pictured him being that guy in the background of search pics etc... and now you just found exactly what i was picturing... not saying he is the guy or that he is definitely the one in the picture but my hinky meter is up.... wonder if this pic is what led police to say the killer could possibly be following the case

I watched the video, and it seems to me the smirk is reacting to her talking about catching the perp. It's not a bad thing to examine the family of a victim with a healthy dose of suspicion. A lot of crimes end up being committed by family, and I will admit that I've seen other video where I looked for the tears to back up the voice changes. I just don't really see it in this particular one. JMO.

I know what you mean, penny. If you keep your lips closed, but open your mouth, your face gets longer and chin becomes more pointed. If that's him, he looks thinner in the mug shot which would also help his face appear longer. I remember from Natalee's case that the basic shape of ears do not change. The ear lobes get longer as we age, and ears do continue to grow until death, but the basic shape doesn't change.

wow Klaas great catch! I agree, it needs to be called in. I think it is the either the same man or a close relative to him. The faces are very similar.

I know every one seems focused on a RSO or even an UnRSO.  So I realize the comments I am about to make will likely not be popular.

I am not here to start making a villian out of the mother or accuse her of anything.  Nor am I a judge of the proper way to react to such a tragedy.  I just want to make sure all possibilties are explored.

SO with that being said...is any one else disturbed my some of the mother's video footage?

There is one thing in particular that I cannot get past.  Watch her video and you will see moments where a very slight smile/smirk will cross her face.  She does is several times but the most disturbing to me is when she speaks directly to camera about getting the person responsible. 

I'm not talking about laughing as a reaction to an emotional situation.  I know that happens.  This is a smile/smirk that is so slight IMO because she is trying to surpress it. 

Again, I know this isn't popular and I understand if no one wants to discuss.  But perhaps in all your searching, you might also look closer to the family.

I too see a hurt and angry mom, I also see a woman who has no fear of being in the public eye nor grieving in public. I am just not sure I am ok with that, I think maybe she had some strong meds that allowed her to do this, I am on the fence at the moment waiting for developments.

OK, one last video and then I'll move past my obsession.  Again, she is smirking when talking about the killer.  I just don't think that smile is congruent with her words which are angry.

Also, of every person I know that has lost a child, the ONE thing they each hated to be told was "he/she is in a better place."

She was in the hospital. She had a leg amputated ( there are crutches ). She had been seriously overweight. I had seen that in persons with diabetes, poor lady, that is suffering.
