I just don't understand why someone like JME would register to post in a forum about a case that they don't think anyone should be talking about?

I never said you shouldn't be talking about it, that is your own guilty conscious.  I simply asked why.  People should be aware of this case, but where do you draw the line between caring and an obsession??

This 15 year old girl is like a lot of other 15 year old girls around here.  I honestly do not think there is anything that could be done...

I have a lot to say.

I'm connected to the MPFC, I've got a lot of friends in LE, I know what goes on in this town - and I'm not a trouble maker.  I'm a local trying to figure out why in the world no one trusts our guys to do the right thing?  At this stage in the game shouldn't you trust them?  When the time is right, they are going to give pertinent information.  We don't want to jeopardize the case.  Besides the girl is a minor, you cant expect them to share THAT much...

I would hope that every missing and murdered child's case was covered by all the media and not kept local like it was  a dirty little secret to be put in a closet.  From the mother to the judge they all need to know to protect our precious children. 

It is not kept as a dirty little secret, everyone knows and anyone who wants to know can find out -obviously.  I get the curiosity (I guess) Why 'investigate', why not wait until the facts are out there, the jury has made the decision and the criminal is off the streets to learn from it?  I mean, what are you going to do now?  --And seriously, who has to be informed how to protect their children through the national news media? 

I certainly did not join this forum to tell everyone to 'shut up' , think what you want, say what you want.  I do. 

No it is not kept a secret and the information will come out in due course whether we are local or not , and whether we are local or not we care about children who are murdered. 


NONE of you have anything but speculation and frankly it is just not anyone's place to be so involved in the investigation.

Are you serious.  There are plenty of people who have learned about many cases on how children were abducted and killed through the news media.  On how there are many pedophiles in their neighborhood.  It is the news media that helps the amber alert system.  It's news and people learn from each case.

Right.  But when does it end?  We've found her body, we've got someone in custody.  Will there just be constant speculation until all the facts are out there?  Yes. So why sit around and taint the case?

Good point Fatcat especially if she stays in the Juvi system which can only keep her till she is 21.  Want to make sure I keep her on my "not to be called as babysitter list" after they have rehabilitated and treated her.
