Hey did you guys hear about a poster on the w w w spewing crap about potential lawyers reading posts on blogs and that possibly affecting the jury pool.  And the lawyer would use that to move his case to another jurisdiction?
 
A potential - possible - suspected 15 yr old who may -could have harmed another child if found guilty is still guilty regardless of where the jury convicts her - him - it.  JMO

Gee I always thought it's typically the evidence that kinda let's the jury know that the perp is guilty well duh on me.

JME has made it their job to go to the various sites or at least here and the local news websites (I've seen the posts) and discourage people from discussing the case.  I'd really like to know why it's so important to them that we all "bug off".

If you thought a bunch of people were NUTS to be discussing a case in a state they don't even live in, would you bother registering for that site to post?  Or would you simply shake your head and walk away?

Id probably just say nothing, registering to be a member  and then jumping in and telling them what they were doing was wrong would not fix anything, what did they hope to accomplish.....

We cannot possibly "investigate" as LE does because we don't have access to all the evidence that they do.  That is not our intent.  Our form of investigation is combing through all the available information and staying as informed as possible.  Sometimes we even find something of assistance to LE and it is forwarded to them pronto.

There are many, many of us and some capable of coordinating information in a very concise way.  And some can find anything on social networking sites.  Some have participated in searches with orgs like TES.

We write to legislators striving to have laws enacted to better protect the innocent. 

But the forum would not be here if not for the effort of Klaas and the mods and Red the Owner.  That's one thing we don't do is diss them.  At least no one will for very long, lol.

I appreciate everything you've said.  If all the lovely posters here had your mentality, I would have never felt compelled to add my two cents in the first place.  I get it now. 

Glad I could provide some of you with entertainment.

Well Anna, since JME's so nice to you...must not be the usual suspects.  

I was thinking the same thing, TxMom.  Must be the new suspects, lol, but knew we could tell if it was the usual if they went after me.

I must admit I was curious but on hand just in case to back up and defend Klaas just in case it was them.

Maybe someone concerned about LE receiving negative publicity or something like that?  Does it make you think there is something we do not yet know that is going to reflect badly such as prior knowledge that this POI has serious issues and problems that were not adequately addressed?

I guess I am not of the same mentality as none of my questions were answered by someone who stated there were in the "know" and worked with LE and was close to the case.  All I got back was more questions.

It's we who appreciate you, Klaas, as you have held this thing in the road all this time.  We likely wouldn't be here if you hadn't.

As to this bug off attitude, I have to wonder why so touchy?  Sometimes a person can exhibit signs of personality disorders and no one realizes just how dangerous they really are until it is too late.  Or some do and yet nothing is actually done until it is too late.  Then people feel guilty and become defensive.

Just a thought, I have no reason to think this is the case other than the raction of wanting us to go away and not ask any questions.  A similar thing happened in my community many years ago.  A teen killed a little boy both males, however.  People resented the parents for not having done something about his problems before it came to that.  That's why I think along those lines.

I'd really like to know what the high schoolers are going through right now. One of their fellow students is being charged with first degree murder, and a teacher killing himself. And only talk of  counselors at the elementary school, maybe a couple extras if they need them. What are these people thinking. How many of those students are lying in bed staring at the ceiling at night, and being unable to concentrate at school for the past two days.

And they wonder why outsiders get involved and care what happens in "their" town.

fatcat, I meant to post earlier that NG said tonight that it was the manner in which the body was concealed that led to it not being found.  She said it, too.  I mean about the concealment.  Would like to know more about that.

She is NOT just like every other rebellious 15-yer-old foster child!  I have known many such children, and not one has ever murdered her 9-year-old neighbour.
