I think we've wasted enough time on JME.  Any curiosity we may have as to WHY they want us to "bug off" we should probably do behind the scenes and keep it to ourselves unless it becomes case related.  Personally I think JME just doesn't like all the attention his/her town is getting.

Or fears a lawsuit from the victim's family for some responsible party failing to take appropriate action like the school, foster family or Dept Children Services.  Somebody somewhere sure dropped the ball on this one as far as taking steps before it escalated to this extent.

But next step is to see if the POI will be deemed an adult or tried as a juvenile as it makes all the difference in the world which it is.

I am still on page 56 catching up but want to address this, it happens all the time, and I do mean all the time. They could put her on a electronic monitor and let her go home with no option of leaving more than 5 feet from the house without law enforcement being alerted and going to the house.  I knew a minor who committed murder and he sat in his parents house for 6 years before they went to court for it.  Couldn't leave home for his own childrens births (yes he was able to move on and make children while he waited to rot in jail) and could only leave for things that had to do with court, lawyers, and so on.  People are just not usually aware this goes on because most cases are not usually so well known or closely followed.

Wow what a night you all had! My goodness, I have sat here and read from page 68ish, (can't recall where I started.) BTW, I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt, my usual attire and was eating candy corn. 

Klass you got class, and patients I would have banned the person way back on post #2. 

Somewhere before all of that ^ happened some pics was posted of Elizabeth, thank you so much for posting them. I am assuming it shows her with her family? I bet those kids are just torn up about the loss of their sister. So many victims in all of this. It is not just that person that dies, but a part of all who loved them. Elizabeth was a beautiful little girl  and her life has enough meaning for all of us to sit and morn her death and try to help where we can, she mattered enough...that is the reason if anyone cares to ever ask again, she matters enough for us to care, as do all of these children we pray for and try to figure out what happened or were they are, such as Lindsey Baum, Amber Dubois, Adji to name just a few. They all matter enough for a stranger who is thousands of miles away to sit in front of a computer and try to help.

How did NG jump that she actually kept a diary?  As for the defense lawyer saying they need to pull her grades and prove she did not have the intelligence to determine right from wrong, the POI name came up in a search that she received academic excellence going from  to middle school.

I will have to tape the NG show when it repeats tonights--the kids have taking over the tv.

He's gotta be pulling everything he can out of a bag to try to gain sympathy from a potential jury. I don't know how it works in Missouri but down here--Couey was considered mentally +++++++ and it didn't help him a  lick.

I followed the case .  Hope Couey is still rotting.

Couey is dead. Died before they could execute him. Now I'm waiting on Joseph Smith ( Carlie Brucia)--. Today was the hearing on Michael King ( Denise Lee), don't know if you followed that but he got the death penalty and today the judge was supposed to hear from him why he should get life instead.

LOL yes I know he is dead, died in Sept, but I hope he is still rotting.

   I assure you he is rotting!  Probably getting smelly too

I had to skip over a bunch of pages due to Mr. Sneaky Man coming on and trying to stop discussion -

WTH is going on in Jefferson City, MO that people who are close to LE there feel the need to register with online forums and stop discussion of this case????

I have never heard of this happening in any other case.

Oh wait, Natalee's case.  But I thought that was due to the corruption in Aruban LE and courts.....

Accused killer of 9-year-old girl due for court appearance


JEFFERSON CITY (KMOX)  -- The 15-year-old suspect in the killing of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten will appear in a Missouri courtroom Wednesday for a closed detention hearing.

The teen's accused of first-degree murder and is to appear by videoconference in Cole County court for a hearing to determine whether the teen should remain in custody or be released to family members. Another hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18 to determine whether the teen should be tried as an adult.

A Jefferson City attorney who represents the teenager declined to comment Tuesday.

Law officers arrested the 15-year-old Friday after the teen led them to Elizabeth's body in a wooded area in St. Martins, west of Jefferson City.

Hundreds of people searched the area last week after Elizabeth did not return home from a friend's house Wednesday night.

The Cole County Sheriff's Department has said Elizabeth was well concealed but have not said how it is believed she encountered the teenager or where Elizabeth is believed to have been killed.

The suspect's name and gender have not been released.
