Sure, in the first link under the comment section, a girl with "apples" signature calls her "sis" but I wasn't sure if it was just a buddy thing calling her sis or if it was her real sister. Now the wordpress link and profile link definately identify AB by name.

That is a very kind offer.  What is your opinion on why the lack of coverage and the locals not wanting this on the national media?  BTW if those are M&M's in your basket you may want to pass on eating them unless you can find the best before date.   

One of my daughters friends moved to Jeff City a couple of years ago - after living here in KC.  She said it is very laid back and very countryfied.   I've been there a few times and while it is our states capital it does seem rather rural. 

One of my friends lost her little boy, she had left him buckled in her SUV to run in and get a drink from a sandwich shop, a guy fresh out of jail took off with her car, she chased after him and couldn't get her son's leg out of the seat buckle.  The driver drug him for a mile or two, it was the worst thing that has happened here.  Oprah had her on a couple of times and even gave her a baby shower a few years later.  It's funny when I mention this case to others that do not live around here - they have never heard about it.

omg, KCJackie - I know that case!  And I'm sure that I was still in California when I read about it.

Absolutely heartbreaking - I've prayed for that mother many times.  I hope she is doing ok, but what a horrible thing to have to live with.

There have been occassions when I have done my best to argue that even when a parent makes a horrible mistake (ie. McCann), that this case of the mom leaving her child in the car for just those moments very much highlights that the blame, in my opinion, lies with intent.

It was not the intent of this mother to have someone try to carjack her vehicle with her child inside, it was not her intent for the child to be harmed at all.

The blame lies with the person who chooses to commit the crime.

I live in the Jeff City area and am glad we have these kinds of forums to discuss this case, even if much of it remains "unverified" by officials. I have been puzzled by the lack of information from authorities and the complicity of the media. Not reporting the gender of the suspect was the first tip off that this is being unconventionally covered up. Regarding the involvement of the high school teacher who committed suicide, the paper reported today that the sheriff was at his memorial service and said he was "the last person to talk with Currie before he died Monday." Real interesting that the on-line version of the story in the JC News Tribune cut that part out of the article! Something very weird is happening here.

OK! Now what the heck did that mean? Did it mean he talked to him before he shot himself, or he talked to him after he shot himself but before he died.

I am curious as to how the authorities are able to keep the media quiet about this or other things.  I mean, isn't their job to get in there, find out all the information they can and report it first?  Very puzzling for sure.  I mean, even on these blogs no one wants to be the first to spill the beans (as if there is some law against it). 

Seems like all defense attorneys scream they can't get a fair trial for their murdering clients in Missouri as well as every other state. It's as if everyone is supposed to forget it happened, forget the victim and concentrate on only getting his client a "fair trial."  That always amazes me. 

I have another "I heard" for you since I know many of you have also been bombarded with those lately.  I certainly cannot verify the information, but I heard that the teacher who committed suicide did so when he realized what had happened because he felt a tremendous amount of guilt for not taking the suspect's "writings" more seriously.  Just one more tidbit to add to the unverified information pool.

Thanks to all of you for providing me with the means to find out the suspect's name earler.  Now am I going to be tarred and feathered by "whoever" if I further inquire about the name/s of the grandparents?

The powers that be in JeffCity may have their local media under control, but once Nancy Grace gets her teeth into something, she rarely lets go.

And this has hit the internet hard.  Now that it's become obvious that JC authorities play the good old boy game, people will insist that it not be swept under the rug.

I have a feeling that the authorities in Jefferson City are about to be schooled.

yes, our new member, tomsmith99, posted over on the thread for the suspect that he subscribes to that paper and that part of the story had but removed from the online version for those who are not subscribed.

Being from Florida and enjoying the fruits of our Sunshine Law ( public has access to everything practically), I can see how frustrating this is up in JC. Something definately smells but it won't be long before an agency with more power and authority steps in. Especially since it appears the townspeople are grumbling and making some noise that all is not kosher.

I cant believe all that is going on with this girl, she is a murderer, I know she is young but she still took another life and so there fore she is a murderer, just like every other murderer, she has to be punished..........Oh, and she didnt need to be recording anything........the girl cant sing.....holly cow.......I had to turn that off....
