Nancy Grace need to know the rest of the story. Its so convoluted and so sick. Nancy needs to do investigative reporting on this father's background and another member of the family. Plus the people that the father hung with. This story is so far reaching its unreal. And for all of you that have been involved with this man, I would hide your kids. If this is a coincidence that its Dale Olten's child thats missing, I will eat my hat. The rest of the background is sick, twisted and heinous to say the least.

Thanks everyone for the articles and links. I have been afraid to even come in the thread this morning. This is so scary. And the comments NORTHERN just posted shows how high feeling are running about these sex perv's running around loose, feeding on our young. It should not be so easy to grab an innocent child.

You are welcome.  This one is breaking my heart as the one picture looks very much like my own daughter did at her age.  I can not image them turning away volunteers.  They could use them to go to business to get donations, hand out flyers on the streets, highways and homes.  Call every house to see if they heard or saw anything, there is so much that these volunteers could be doing if they do not want them involved in the grid search.

Search Continues for St. Martins Girl


COLUMBIA, MO (KBIA) - The search for a local St. Martins girl who has been missing more than 24 hours continues today. The search resumed this morning for nine-year old Elizabeth Olten who went missing Wednesday evening from St. Martins just west of Jefferson City. The Cole County sheriff says Olten left a friend's house shortly after 6 o'clock Wednesday night and was used to walking the quarter-mile to her home through neighbors' yards. She was reported missing around 7 p.m. Elizabeth Olten's aunt, Vicki Olten, described her niece as outgoing.
"She is a beautiful girl, does good in school, friendly, outgoing, but she would not talk to strangers, she has been taught right."

The State Highway Patrol, Federal Authorities, and the Violent Crimes Unit have joined the Cole County sheriff's efforts in the search for Otlen. The highway patrol put a roadblock in place last night around the time Olten went missing in case anyone who travels on the road at that time saw anything Wednesday night. Is it me, or does everything seem so disorganized?  I hate to say this out loud, but do you think that perhaps the family's involvement with crime that LE might not be as interested in finding Elizabeth say as they would another child?

From the article I posted..
"Hopes of finding some answers in the case increased in July when authorities spent a few days on the Osage River after a fisherman reported he pulled up what appeared to be a human hand. However, searchers failed to locate a body."

I am assuming they tested this hand and it was Jasmines and that is how they ruled this case a homicide?  Maybe they should look around this same place for this little girl?

ya know, I was thinking the other night (before reading all this crazy stuff about the family, OMG!) that I found it strange that they stopped the infared search because they said that the fall foliage was too dense?

WTH?  and infared search should be able to get through the fall foliage, shouldn't it?  and isn't a fall foliage LESS than summer foliage?

And doesn't this county have the necessary equipment to see through ANY types of foliage?

really, really weird situation to turn away volunteers and not be searching 24/7.  She's only 9, for God's sake.  I mean, that one commenter said that they searched ditches and stuff - why weren't the cops searching the ditches?  or the many volunteers?
