1 hr ago yes i have had someone go in and ripe my heart out(Vicki)remember my mom went missing in 2007 when she was with your brother Dale. We still have no clue what happened with her. After Elizabeth is found I hope you see what it is like to have lost someone. I am soo sorry that this has happened but maybe you guys will realize what we have to live through now for the rest of our lives. I hope that Elizabeth is found.

Vickie is the aunt (sister to the father, dale sr.). Jasmine's mom is with Eliz. mother.

Has anyone heard/read if anyone saw Elizabeth leave her friend's house, besides the friend's family?

What I am curious about is how and why would LE say an abduction is the least likely of possibilities? hmmmm Person is missing...that person is 9...she was walking alone...doesn't seem that far of a leap to think she was abducted.

Maybe they are considering she ran away?

I found that odd as well.  Next presser is in 15 minutes.  Lets see what White says.

Missing Cole County Missouri Girl Found Murdered

ST. MARTINS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - Police say they have found body of missing 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten. Authorities say she was found murdered in the woods. The Cole County, MO girl has been missing since Wednesday. The Associated Press says police have a juvenile is in custody.

Body of Missing Missouri Girl, 9, Found in Woods

The body of a 9-year-old Missouri girl who vanished walking home from a friend's house was found in a heavily wooded area Friday.

An "older juvenile" suspect led authorities to Elizabeth Olten's body, deep in the woods near where an exhaustive search for the child was under way for much of the day.

Elizabeth disappeared just after she started walking home from a friend's house Wednesday night.

"There's been no contact with her since then," Cole County Sheriff Greg White told Fox News earlier Friday, before Elizabeth was found dead.

White said Elizabeth spoke with her parents on the phone before she left her friend's house.

"Her parents said she should leave and get home," he told Fox.

About 70 investigators worked on leads Friday and another 70 people spent the day scouring woody, uneven terrain west of Jefferson City, Mo.

Missing Girl's Body Found

COLE COUNTY - The Cole County Sheriff reports searchers found the body of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten just before 3:00 this afternoon.

Investigators said written and physical evidence led them to a person of interest who then led them to the body. The sheriff said the person of interest is not a member of the family, but is an acquaintance. Investigators said the body was located a distance from where they had been searching. The person of interest is a juvenile and is in custody.

For all of you who want to criticize this child's mother, shame on you. This is someone's BABY! This is someone's SISTER! I know this family, and realize that the distance is being reported as 1/4 of a mile, but I hate to break it to you people who want to bash her mother, that's not quite an accurate distance. The mother hadn't even been told that the child had been sent home from the friend's house, so she couldn't have gone to pick her up even if she had wanted to! Maybe instead of criticizing the mother, you could find something more productive to do, like say a prayer for the safe return of the child! How dare you? Think what you want, but have some heart for this family & keep it to yourself! Freedom of speech only shows what negative people some of you are!

Missing Cole County Missouri Girl Found Murdered

ST. MARTINS, Mo. (AP) - Police in mid-Missouri say they have recovered the body of a missing 9-year-old girl and have a juvenile "person of interest" in custody. Cole County Sheriff Greg White told reporters Friday that the person of interest and Elizabeth Olten were acquainted.

White would not give any details about the person of interest except to say the individual lived in the area west of Jefferson City and was older than Elizabeth.

Elizabeth had last been seen when she started walking home from a neighbor's house on Wednesday.
