Here is my best guess of where the house would be from the overhead view based on how the driveway turns and the stable and riding pen in both views on the left.

And Elizabeth's house is on Rte 4 D, I'm guessing?

Yes Rte D and Lomo Drive are the same as you can see from the last map.  As for the written note, it was left/given to LE by another juvenile.

I think JSM was asking about the NOTE coming from another minor child.

All those reports that there were only 4 houses in between were correct and she never had to cross the highway.  She could walk along the back of the houses by the woodline, or along the front yards and not have to step out on the highway.

Wow, that is scary when your child can't even walk four houses home without worry.

Especially in a nice rural place.  That really rocked my world as that is sort of what it looks like up here with the house and  big lot being 3/4 - 1 acre and woods behind.

Yes, the written notes were from a minor as well, which pointed LE to another minor , who took them to the body.

Reason I am asking about the note and whether a child gave the note is this...Dr. Mitchell stated that the school district would continue to assist local law enforcement as they investigate the case.

Could it be a teacher or someone at the school gave a written tip or some kind of writing/essay from the child they have arrested, that wanted to harm Elizabeth or someone else? IDK, just thinking in my head.

I read Dylan Klebold's mother's article and she said that the school had writings he had done before the Columbine massacre, but the school thought nothing about the writings. So it just made me think maybe a teacher or someone had writings from this perp that made the teacher take notice and give to LE.

Hope this makes sense, I don't have much left today.

Yes.  THe Sherriff said tonight they found her 1/4mile in the woods, in the woods behind her house.  You can see how big those woods are

  Yep Fanny, 1/3 of a pizza down my gullet tonight. This and Somer's is doing my head in and the only thing to make me sane is food right now.

6:15 she leaves friends house

7:00 Mom calls police

45 minutes and we only know that in between she called her mom on her cell telling her she was on the way home. 
She has to walk 4 houses to get home. 
The POI is "a bit" older that Elizabeth,
the body is 1/4 mile in the woods
Sunset that night was 6:21
She was scared of the dark

A juvenile is in custody for the murder of Elizabeth Olten. Charges are pending. The teenager led police to Elizabeth's body in the woods near her home according to ConnectMidMissouri.

Elizabeth Olten, age 9, a fourth-grade student at Pioneer Trails Elementary School, has been murdered in Saint Martins, MO. She disappeared after leaving a friend's house at about 6:15 pm for a ¼ mile walk home according to CBS News. She is believed to have disappeared near the Hwy. 50 area according to America's Most Wanted. Saint Martins, west of Jefferson City, is a rural area in Missouri.

When last seen, Elizabeth Olten was wearing blue jeans, white sneakers, a t-shirt with butterflies, a pink sweater, and a pink scarf. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Elizabeth is 5'2 and weighs 108 pounds.

The Cole County Sheriff department was able to ping Elizabeth's cell phone Wednesday night after she disappeared. It was determined that her location then was in woods near her residence. The woods were then searched with thermal imaging radar and an on foot search was also done. When Elizabeth's body was found, her cell phone was still with her. .

The FBI was involved in the search for Elizabeth. A helicopter of the Missouri Highway Patrol has also been used in the search. An Amber Alert was not issued in this case.

That is what sticks out for me.  As it was another child that is the POI my thoughts are gravitating to someone she knew that asked her to go into the woods for whatever reason - to help find something perhaps?  Only way I could see a child "a bit older" getting her 5'2 108lb body 1/4 mile into the woods is if she walked there willingly and then something happened.  This POI lives west of St.  Martins so might have been visiting a friend or relative in one of those 4 houses  in between her house or the friends house.  JMO

Superintendent Brian Mitchell issued the following statement upon receiving news of Elizabeth Olten's death:
"We are deeply saddened by the events related to Elizabeth Olten's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.  We will continue to concentrate all of our efforts in taking care of our students at Pioneer Trail Elementary School.  Next week we will have additional counselors available at the school and provide whatever support is needed for the students, their parents, and our own faculty and staff at Pioneer Trail."
