here it is:

"...Nancy Hanks, a family friend who works for the attorney who represented Dale Olten Sr., said the father feels helpless behind bars and desperately wanted to be part of the search for Elizabeth. “He’s actually a good person,” she said.

Thank-you, regardless of what the father did, I'm sure he feels helpless and heartbroken that his little girl was murdered

wonder if he will be allowed out of prison to attend the funeral?
Good question, I don't know how things like that work.

I've seen cases where money was collected for a child's education fund but this has usually been because of the loss of a parent/bread winner and there are surviving young children.    Have the Olten's lost a source of income?  Elizabeth was a minor, and monies donated should be for her funeral expense and possibly for the family in a short term way, such as when the family isn't able to work (short term-not like Ron Cummings) clothing for the funeral or to help bring close relatives from out of town etc.  Wouldn't it be best if someone oversaw the account?  But as far as collecting money for another child's education in a family that a child has passed away-doesn't make sense to me.  JMHO

Yes you are so correct.  Interesting that Jasmine's mother Peggy Florence  has been with Elizabeth's mother Patti since Elizabeth has gone missing.  We were wondering why and last night in an article it stated that Peggy had set up Missouri Missing after Jasmine disappeared and helps families of all missing people now.

JEFFERSON CITY -- Missouri Missing sent out the following news release in regards to the death of Elizabeth Olten.

"The members of Missouri Missing are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of Elizabeth Olten.

"The past 48 hours have been hard on the family, and while we of course prayed and hoped for Elizabeth to return home safely, we are thankful of the massive outpouring of the community and the number of volunteers who searched diligently despite poor weather conditions.

"Elizabeth’s family is in a state of shock at this time and are not prepared to speak with the media. However, Missouri Missing has been with them throughout this horrible tragedy and they are also appreciative of the support they have received.

"We ask that you please respect the family's privacy and allow them this time to grieve the loss of their loved one."

are we thinking that Elizabeth's father directly murdered Jasmine or that it was a retaliation murder of some sort?
If Jasmine's body was put in Lake of the Ozarks, it may never be found...that is a huge lake...and it is very very deep in some areas....lots of vacant woody land around it....isn't that where a foot was found? sounds so grisly and horrible...

I don't know really that much about that case, just read a little and if he did have something to do with Jasmine well than I would feel differently.

Jasmine and Dale were both arrest for drugs and were out on bond, Jasmine was out on a $50,000 bond. On June 17th she called the father of her kids and spoke to him and her kids and told them  she would be picking the kids up the at noon the next day.  She was never seen since.  Her car was found in the opposite direction on a bridge with the plates taken off.  She was to have appeared in court for the drug hearing on June 18th.

Norther - Jasmine's disappearance was two years ago?

So, she was already gone when Dale, Dale, and Jesse stole all those guns?

Jasmine was last heard from June 17, 2007.  I am not sure of the date on the guns article .
