     And I'm going to bet money that is the same person that appeared on the other two forums, the one and only post on WS was girl-15. There must be a very good reason for that comment to have disappeared, LE just may not want the sex of the perp out there, why, now that I wouldn't know.

So now I want to know what happened to cause Elizabeth's friend's grandpa to send her home at 6:15 pm, and is this 15 year old suspect a member of that family?

That could be or the person that posted on the facebook saying it was a boy from her son's class.  One has to be right.

Because of the short window of time it has to be someone connected to one of the 5 houses between her walk home.

ST. MARTINS, Mo. — Authorities have charged a 15-year-old with first-degree murder for the death of 9-year-old girl in central Missouri.

Cole County Juvenile Court Administrator Michael Couty (koo-TEE') said Saturday that the 15-year-old is being detained for the death of Elizabeth Olten. Police did not release the teen's gender or name.

Elizabeth's body was found Friday — two days after she went missing — after the suspect led police to a wooded area near her home west of Jefferson City. Cole County Sheriff Greg White said Saturday that the girl was found in an area that had previously been searched but she had been "very well concealed."

White said Elizabeth was acquainted with the suspect but declined to elaborate.

I don't know, but could Elizabeth have followed the person into the woods, I'm having a hard time imagining a 15 year old killing her and then dragging her body to where he/she hid her. And to hide her so well that the area had been searched twice.

First-degree murder charge sought in slaying of Elizabeth Olten, 9

Authorities are seeking a first-degree murder charge against a teenager in connection with the death of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten, whose body was found Friday afternoon, the Jefferson City News Tribune is reporting.

Cole County Sheriff Greg White held a news conference this morning at the VFW in St. Martins, west of Jefferson City, in connection with the case.

Elizabeth's body was found Friday after she disappeared Wednesday while walking from a neighbor's home.

The juvenile suspect is in custody, the sheriff said Friday.

This just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I cannot think of a scenario that would prevent the sheriff from disclosing whether it is a 15 yr old boy or girl. Frankly, juvenile or not, they will probably be charged as an adult, and the name will come out anyhow. Unless politics is playing a role. That is a very big, fancy home for that area compared to the other homes around there. I wonder who lives there?

  That's what I wondered, that is a beautiful home. I just don't get it, male or female, it was horrible either way, they must have a reason.

Yes that home looks very new which would explain why you can only see it on streetview.  The "letters" that were handed to police had me thinking it was a girl.  How many boys write letters as compared to girls or am I out of touch?

You are right, girls are the ones that write letters and in their journals, not that boys don't, but in my experience girls like to write things down, good catch.
