I haven't had time to track down this kids first name.  I do believe I have the grandparents names and the occupation of the grandmother.  If I am correct, the grandmother (age 52) runs a daycare from her home.

I just took it upon myself (as I have a tendency to do...) to call the Cole County Sheriff's office.

Spoke to a nice lady to let her know that this is starting to come out.

She was concerned and not aware that it was starting to come out.  But thankful to know.

Hopefully, they will figure out how to deal with this today because quite frankly, I already have all the info myself on the 15 y.o. (as I'm sure many people do) as well as her family and a good many of her friends.

Media is going to have this quick if not already, and we've learned from other cases (Haleigh) that some bloggers/self-described media - have a tendency to leak.

I know the family of this 15 year old must be reeling, but they can figure out a way to protect them, I think.  Also, this family is going to be dealing with this sooner or later.

This entire situation is f-ed up but LE needs to be assertive and completely in control.  If they don't step up with some info, the control will be taken from them and they'll be floundering to regain it, imo.

I think the POI ID will be a shock locally when released. There is a good possibility that a fairly prominent local family name will be involved....perhaps even a law enforcement family. That might explain some of the mixed messages and rumors being floated. A few minutes on MidMoGIS and the names of all the property owners are freely available. I think it is a safe bet that the POI is from one of those families.
     From a local on another forum, I kind of figured the owners of that beautiful home and property had to be someone of prominence in the community.

From a local that I just posted, if this is indeed a prominent family, that is why all this confusion, if the child was from a not so prominent family I'm sure there would not be such confusion. imo

Ya know, the weekend is giving posters the chance to sift through info - and once just a tiny bit is found the rest has come out.

If this had happened during the week and the DA was able to talk to a judge about adult charges, maybe they could've handled it faster.

when I called the sheriff, I told the woman that I spoke with that the name of this suspect is floating around.  I gave her the name - she didn't refute it but expressed shock that it was out.

So, the info that I found just tooling around is correct.

Residents said the 15-year-old is a girl, and lived at the house Elizabeth was supposedly coming home from. However, White will not confirm that information.
