What a day and it is not over:

School makes statement this did not happen on school property and lists counseling agencies for thouse that went to school with Elizabeth, does not mention anything about POI school

Teacher who taught at POI school found dead this morning with a firearm

Records on Case net have gone poof for Grandma getting guardianship of POI and brothers

Public defenders office in MO is in crisis with no staff or money

     I never even thought about the teacher's suicide and a connection to the teen, OMG let's hope not

Bill Currie was born William Currie II on January 16, 1944. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Bill Currie is an Author and an adventurer. He co-wrote "Shoot to Win" (1985) with John Shaw. He is also the author of "Hot Stuff and the Broad Street Boys" (1988). He currently works as the Journalism advisor at Jefferson City High School (JCHS) in Jefferson City, MO. He started his work at JCHS as a Truancy Officer.


Early Years: Before Bill Currie's career as an educator, he worked as a Theology major and a re-knowned Preacher at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Nashville, TN. Bill Currie also engaged in many protests for civil rights in his earlier years.

Love Life: Bill Currie may sometimes be called a James Bond of his time. He has had five wives, but is currently widowed living a life of seclusion with his one and only true love, Molly the dog.

It seems to me having the Meeting today of the school board was a little late. It should have been held over the weekend so that plans would be in place by Monday morning when to students  got back to school. No mentioning counselors for the High School yet reeks of cover up.

Seems like the folks on the NT site knew of what they speak. Blocking of public records does it for me! Another day without real info from LE is just fueling the fires. There seems to be no one in control of information and it is CYA time. JMO

Morning (oops - Afternoon!) Monkey Friends -

Been following along with this and the other recent heartbreaking cases, but haven't jumped in yet . . . Couldn't help myself now, though.

I cannot believe that this teacher just up and decided to shoot himself at the same time that all of this was coming out about the 15 yr old suspect! WAAAAAAAY too suspicious, IMO - entirely too much so. Dollars to donuts there is something in this whole sick and sad situation that he couldn't live with . . . even if it's just that she was in his class & he knew something was wrong & didn't report it - SOMETHING pushed this guy over the edge. You all have mentioned that the "B" family is prominant in town . . . sounds as though this teacher was known by everyone too . . . coinkydink?

Hmmmm............... Something's rotten in St. Martin's, I'd speculate . . .

I totally smell the same thing.  Considering what he taught (english and journalism) and was head of I am wondering if our POI wrote a detailed story as an assignment that came true?  LE did say hand written notes were given to them by a 3rd juvenile which then lead them to the POI.  Could have been another student just as likely as one of her siblings.  JMO

Indeed, NorthernRose - we are thinking alike on this one. He knew something that could have prevented this murder . . . IMO. The writing assignment is precisely what I had been thinking, too - or at least something in that scope. SOMEHOW, he knew something. And he felt responsible for not acting on it.

Sounds like he was in his late 70's . . . hard for me to imagine a 'sordid relationship' with the teenage girl - LOL. But, I suppose one never knows . . . . Egads.
