Penny for your thoughts. I haven't sleuthed them but had thought the same thing. I assumed the had ruled them out by the way LE talked. I may be assuming wrong.

twocents. I am not sure I am thinking the person who did this may have been living or visiting the apartments or condos and very familiar with the area and trash schedule. If people could start remembering seeing a man dumping trash the night before or morning of trash pick up. We may be able to narrow down suspects or people to question. Not that we are going to be doing the questioning but LE. I think LE should be askign the public to call in about people they saw throwing trash away that night and early morning in those 2 areas. I'm just thinking out loud I guess.

Welcome Lucky1 and all the other newbies.

Concerning the 4 year old. What is wrong with our teens today? They have no sense of compassion, empathy or respect for anyone these days.

Finding Answers - BTW I love your AVI:) Brandi does great work! Now there really isn't any woods per say between the Gano house and the apartments. BUTTTTTTTTT.......... if she did just cut through the Gano property she would end up on the street that the RSO G. Cruise lives on.

The curbside pickup is 40-50lbs I think

Yes but I have heard of people putting heavier stuff in their trash and it isn't questioned. Like everything else, there are rules in place but not always followed. I am more apt to believe it was a dumpster somewhere in there area. The subdivison has MANY major streets with lots of businesses all around it-- Blanding, Wells, 17 and Kingsley. There is a large mall at Wells/Blanding.

IMO it's the "collective stress" of the world weighing on everyone. Humans are becoming more like animals--killing their young when they panic. It's awful.

I have felt a definite "shift." But I am an optimist... ::MonkeyCheer4::I feel like we have to hit rock bottom and then we'll all rise above and things will get better. Night, all.

<snipped>

Hi everyone. This looked like a good place for a first post. I am so sad about Somer and other children. I just wanted to say hello and that I'm not involved like one poster who asked about "new" people. You are all soooooo smart here and I hope that your sleuthing rubs off on me!

Hi there, I also think this is a good place for a first post! I'm also not involved, not to mention I live in California! I'm a mom of three and also very sad about Somer and all of these missing and murdered children.
I've been reading here since the Sandra Cantu case (I live about 50 miles from Tracy, CA) and I had tried to join SM during the Lindsay Baum case but was never approved, which I believe to be due to the high number of requests to join during that time. I read a post at that time that there were something like 600 that needed to be approved, so I figured I just got lost in the shuffle! This time I had my approval in no time.

You all are great, keep up the good work!

Hello Moreplease and Lucky1!

I am pages behind today, but just read your first posts and wanted to send a warm welcome to you both! Glad to have you posting with us!

(I'm just four pages behind. LOL)

I know most of you don't believe as I do on who I think did it this. But I want to point out that in all the news coverage I have not heard of one person that said they saw her looking for her child or calling the friends parents to see if she was at there houses. Sorry in advance if this offends some of you
Don't offend me, sometimes one just feels a certain way, and it is a gut feeling. I've got a couple thoughts about what happened to little Somer, one of them is a nagging thought that is very bothersome. I just hope and pray this week LE will have arrested the person involved with this crime.
Agreed.

The reason I think she may have been under the house in a crawl space is because  we have had so much rain in the past 3 months, that I would think that all the soot would have washed away by now on anything that was outside (except for the things that were in the bottom of the dumpster, that are now in the top.) I wish we would have know by now if she was molested or not. (I hate even typing that)
Well unfortunately that is my assumption. I don't know of any other reason one would snatch a seven year old off the streets, kill her and dump her in a garbage bin.
Unfortunately, I can think of some other scenarios and we have--sadly--seen some of those. Kids doing things to other kids. Adults doing things out of frustration, fear...All the sick things we hear about sometimes.     Good night.

Van Zandt is thinking it's likely someone that had been watching her.  Either someone who lives or works in the neighborhood.  Somebody that knows the victim.

That sure makes the most sense, I like Van Zandt.
