I just saw a commercial tonight for WJXT News Channel 4 for Tuesday night at 10 pm. My jaw dropped to the floor...

Ok, regardless of how anyone feels about owning a gun, having our sheriff say this does NOT make me feel at ease at all! It makes me mad, actually. Isn't that what law enforcement is for, to serve and protect? Now he's encouraging people (who are already feeling anxious about what's happened recently) to go out and get guns. Wow.

Although there are pros and cons about owning guns, the truth of the matter is the police cannot be everywhere all the time. I think the Sheriff is facing realistically the amount of crime and the amount of LE and advising self protection. Personally, I do not think it is a bad idea. JMO

Somer's case to air on America's Most Wanted

ORANGE PARK -- Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler has been working with crew members from the TV show America’s Most Wanted for a segment on the recent abduction and murder of 7-year-old Somer Thompson. The segment is scheduled to air on Saturday night, Nov. 7.

Though the Clay County Sheriff’s Office has received more than 2,600 tips since Somer’s body was discovered in a South Georgia landfill two days after she disappeared on her way home from Grove Park Elementary School on Oct. 19, Beseler says he hopes Saturday’s telecast will produce more leads.

No arrests have been made, no one is in custody and police have not named any persons of interest in the case, which has drawn national attention and created an outpouring of love and support from Orange Park residents and other Clay County communities.

A reward fund established by the Justice Coalition now stands at $40,000 after an anonymous donor contributed $10,000. First Coast Crime Stoppers has a $5,000 reward for an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information about the case can call the Clay County Sheriff's Office tip line at (877) 227-6911 or Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (845-TIPS). Callers can remain anonymous.

I don't think age has anything to do with it.... I've been speaking of and to myself in the 3rd person since i was 10 lol... sometimes i do it aloud in my car on my way to work LOL and sometimes in different voices and i crack myself up laughing LOL
