It will be interesting to find out if Laura & Joe were actually registered TES searchers, and whether they went on a directed TES search, or went off on their own.

They were registered TES searchers and yes, they did go off on their own. On 9/3 they were searching with TES up by the school, TES called off the search around lunch time and then they\Laura and a small group of people proceeded on their own. Where are those other people's statements. We all know how lengthy the defense team likes to make their motions, so why not add the other's statements along with Laura's to seal the deal?

TES called off the search because it was under water, so of course they would not have been in the exact spot. It just turns into a game of words. They may have been close but if it was under water then they could not have seen anything. I cant wait for the hearing to see what the state says about all those bogus motions they filed.

This case has what the defense team deems as many coincidental events. Here is another one I found posted on another forum. Is it a coincident that this case has sooooo many coincidents?   I think not....some, a few, but no way everything is a coincident.


Ok, here's probably another coincidence.

Some of Ginette Lucas's relatives were born and raised in Niles, OH.  Her former name is Matacia - and I was just reviewing their family history (online) and there are relatives of hers from the same area as where George and Cindy used to live.

Like I said, probably all just a coincidence.....but I am wondering about this connection with Ginette Lucas.

Hey, Tupelo!  Thanks for this info.  My sister-in-law is from Niles, as a matter of fact she spent Thanksgiving there.  I will ask her if she knows of the family.  I grew up in Florida and I can't believe the audacity of Ms. Lyons and these bizarre motions.  The worst of her behavior, though for me, is not her obvious crudity and crassness, but when she mouthed "for God's sake", when Ms. Drane-Burdick was arguing that she wasn't interested in protecting the "family", but only the true victim in this case, Caylee.  That showed me what she really is.  Doesn't she have a daughter?  I wonder what her response would be if somethig like this happened to her?  What a dreadful excuse for a human being she is.  I find it interesting in the extreme that the people Casey has surrounded herself with are all cut from the same cloth. 
 

Lyons' policy is that of leaving a scorched earth.  This applies to anyone who is not on her side.  Not at all pretty.  These lawyers do exist, and they are recommended ad nauseum for others, for they always win (and those that they don't win are denied).  I once had such a lawyer.  Scortched earth also applied to collecting exhorbitant inflated fees and expenses.  The US attorney for my state was also subject to the scorched earth policy.  That US attorney agreed publicly on the exhoribitant fees in my case, and publicized the scorched  earth tecniques used on this Federal official.

First, morning Monkeys.  I want to apologize to anyone in advance if this get offensive, BUT, I am not a Joseph Jordan fan.  Something really bothered me about him from the beginning, despite the good causes he was supposedly a part of.  I find this statement really interesting, considering what he is willing to testify to now about his search with TES.

Thank you for bringing this forward. I hadn't a clue that he was a monkey and posted here. I have gone back through the posts, and they are very interesting and enlightening. I knew about him from other sources.

I see he actually did search with TES in August, and then searched independently. Thank you again.

Casey Anthony defense: Florida's death penalty procedure is unconstitutional

Casey Anthony's defense lawyers have filed a motion arguing that Florida's death penalty procedure is unconstitutional.

And because the procedure is unconstitutional, the death penalty should be precluded as a potential sentence, their motion said.

Defense lawyers Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon filed the motion Wednesday, along with a slew of others totaling more than 250 pages.

In their motion, the lawyers argued, "Even if the death penalty procedure were constitutional, the State has failed to charge Miss Anthony with the aggravating circumstances necessary to impose the death penalty; thus, a death sentence in this case would violate due process."

The defense asked the court to schedule a hearing so the lawyers could present their arguments.
