Woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation wants trial date

The civil attorneys for the woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation is asking a judge to set a trial date soon, according to notice filed today in court.

Zenaida Gonzalez, a Kissimmee mother of six, accuses Anthony, 23, of damaging her reputation. Anthony told investigators that she left her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in mid-June 2008 with a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. When she returned later that day, the two had vanished.

Detectives tried to find the nanny and questioned and cleared Gonzalez – the one suing Anthony. Investigators eventually determined the babysitter did not exist.

Gonzalez is suing Anthony for more than $15,000 in damages.

Five months after Caylee was reported missing by her family, an Orange County meter reader stumbled across her remains scattered in woods less than a mile from her family's home.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder. If convicted, prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

I know what it means, I just don't know how to say it without using words that I shouldn't  Hopefully someone can explain it in a way that I can't think of to do.

She is referring to an artificial male appendage that isused to simulated male/female intercourse

Thanks so much TRIMM..I just listened to that one, tho it ended up not being what I was looking for.  Was george with Yuri when they discussed the last time he saw caylee, and they disscussed some comprimising pics of kc, where he got sick?  That's what i am looking for.  link pls  TIA

During our volunteer search effort, we located items we believe to belong to Casey Anthony.  Including female underwear with hair attached to it.  We have clothing, a gas can, make up, pantyhose, etc.  Can the family identify any of these items?

Larry, I have left numerous messages for the Anthony Family on their answering machine.  I have expressed to them the importance of getting Texas Equi Search involved.  I have also expressed our interest in helping their family locating Caylee early on, all to NO RESPONSE.  Why would your "CLIENT" ignore people wanting to help them find Caylee?

Or do they not want to find Caylee until Casey's trial is over?

Our group has distributed many flyers, knocked on doors, and searched wooded areas.  Based on what has already been found and the people we have spoken with, the family has indicated to a close inside source to the family that we are a threat to them.  Why in the world would you consider a group trying to locate your grandaughter a threat?  Unless they believe we are a threat to Casey Anthony?

If Casey did not do this... who did?  Why would Casey Anthony protect someone who performed a SEX CRIME on her?  Would you be open to having someone trained in sexual assault intervention speak with Casey.  Maybe she was sexually assaulted as well?  It is not uncommon for the abused to protect the abuser, even at the expense of their own children.  This is very common in the incest cases we deal with on a day to day basis.

Andrea Lyon is on Casey Anthony’s defense dream team and she's supposed to be the expert on the death penalty. Eyewitness News obtained an audio recording of Andrea Lyon bashing judges, female prosecutors, victim's advocates and even calling jurors “killers.” Lyon made the comments at a conference in Orlando before she joined Casey's defense team.

Casey's lawyer Jose Baez wasn't qualified to handle a death penalty case himself, so he hired Andrea Lyon, a Chicago death penalty expert who calls herself a “pioneer in the field.” Andrea Lyon also calls herself a “genius, legendary” and says her intelligence is superior to jurors’ intelligence.

In the audiotape that Eyewitness News obtained of Andrea Lyon lecturing local lawyers in 2008, she bragged about being thrown out of courtrooms. Lyon said judges are only worried about voters and called them “ugly.”

“Sometimes ugly is presiding. Or do you have great judges in Florida?” Lyon questioned in the recording.

Also on the tape, Lyon called jurors, “killers.”

“You can give the killers on your jury, and there are some, the ammunition they need to go after people,” Lyons said.

She called victims' advocates awful, and worse, for interfering with her efforts to make inroads with a murder victim's relative.

“They figured out I was talking to her and that my client's mother was talking to her and they didn't like that so they sent one of these victim witness’ little b**ches up there,” she said.

Lyon also made a very crude comment about female prosecutors and their femininity, after calling them uncivilized.

“You know they all wear those little ties and have strap*** at home, whatever,” Lyon said. “I actually will take them aside and say, ‘I'm one of the pioneers and you're embarrassing me by your behavior.’”

She described one of her former jurors as a mean librarian and an elderly juror as a "blue hair."

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer calls her comments outrageous.

“It's certainly not something that a true professional whether you're defense or prosecutor really tries to do,” Sheaffer said.

Lyon’s lecture last year could shed light on how she will approach Casey Anthony's death penalty case. She tells lawyers to get emotional to make jurors feel guilty and to make up theories. [snipped]
