Stupid JSM question from what I snipped from this link.  WHY are these seminars top secret and need to pinky swear an oath that nothing will be made public?  Sorry I usually lurk here, but this just bugs me. Or I just may be reading it wrong. TIA JSM

And I know this about the materials, they are only sold to defense attorneys (no media, no prosecutors, no open records laws available) and any member who distributes them violates the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers by-laws. I believe an attendee also violate a separate oath they execute when they sign up for the seminar that they will not distribute the materials (this oath is for non FACDL members). And the reason for both these policies is fear that exactly what happened – someone like Belich will report on them out of context – doesn’t happen.

I don't know what the ramifications for Bill Scheaffer are going to be, but to me, he must have known what could come his way by exposing A. Lyon's defense tactics and he made his choice based on decency and morals. This is JMOO, but this latest ploy from the defense was so low, and I think that Bill wanted to let people know how these people tick, by showing proof with Lyon's own words. I really admire Mr. Schaeffer, now more than ever.

I am sure you are right....but this still .................why should he be punished for speaking the truth and allowing the truth to be known...if this is true it is an outrage!!

wasnt joy bragging that she had proof that she knew who killed caylee? guess it backfired on her huh!  she is very unstable  but still they have to follow up even a nut sometimes can be right or wrong!! who knows what they will find!! maybe they are shaking up the tree like lyons and baez. who cares well we do so she can  shaddup!! finaly anyways she is a nut. baker acted how many times?  not stable not reliable just wanting to be seen and this will  give lyons food for thought if she was trying to make her look  credible in that makeover she had in court(JOY)

This case can't get any more entangled.  I adore Bill too - I hope Andrea Liar was outraged when that hit - wonder if she was as outraged as the INNOCENT man who sat in prison for 26 years when she full well knew it?  Paybacks are he!!

Clearly Ms. Lyon doesn't want us to learn about her “prior bad acts” but it's okay to throw unsubstantiated testimony about Roy Kronk out there........I didn't think I could dislike this beast any more than I did BEFORE I heard the audio of her at the conference...the woman is appalling!
