I think O did swear in on a bible, but he had trouble saying "Barack Huu--uuuu-sein Obama." Every dam*ed news media, including Fox News, cut that out and cleaned it up on video, but that is what happened live. I saw and heard it myself.

JSM - Word on the street is that the Chicago Cubs plan to build an outdoor ice-skating rink along the ballpark's parking lot.  Will open probably in mid December and remain open through February.  Ice time will cost $10.  I want to drive the Zamboni.

To heck with the Zamboni, I'll drive the 5 hours to skate there! That would so rock! Followed of course, by a night of cruising the blues bars and State Street (ya, Michigan Ave is pretty...but too pricey!). CC, if I call Hooters will you deliver to my car??

I'm in with ya Tevye. I have never skated anywhere outdoors. But I bet Chicago is freezing in the winter.

Up here, the only place I've skated is outdoors. It makes your cheeks rosy and really helps keep your speed up for spins! My big dream is to skate down a river...it'd be like taking a Sunday drive, only on skates and water!

The only time I have skated indoors is in Fairbanks, Alaska! They have rinks all over the place, inside because IT IS TOO COLD TO SKATE OUTDOORS...and they're all hockey nuts! But JSM, if you go, I'll meet you. Does Hooters deliver?

If I went skating, the only thing rosey would be my buttocks.

Teyve, skating down a river reminds me of I think last year when all they dikes in Holland froze and people were skating for miles. So much for that PC Global warming they were worried about.

Unfortunately I will be skating outdoors on a pond during my Christmas Vacation. If it is properly taken care of for skating, they swore to my mom it would be, but how the heck do you keep leaves and sticks off the ice.

One of my all time favorite skaters is from Alaska, I think she still coaches up there. Rory Burgart, she does the most awesome split jump ever.

If Hooters delivers, I will be at Wrigley Field skating in the cold with ya!

 Major Nidal Malik Hasan called himself a "soldier of Allah" on business cards found in his apartment after the shooting rampage at Fort Hood in which he is accused of murdering 13 people.

Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, reportedly obtained the business cards over the Internet. In addition to listing his profession and contact information, the cards contain a discrete reference to his religion: "SoA(SWT)."
The letters are shorthand among militant Muslims to "soldier of Allah" and "Subhanahu Wa Ta'all," which means "glory to God."

And nobody noticed. Of course, most of us don't read Arabic and don't know what their little code names mean. Seems like someone would have noticed it and asked. Maybe I will take a course in Arabic. Looks like we are going to need it. I can read and understand most Spanish. I just speak with a southern accent that annoys my hubby no end. I'm not rolling my dam*ed "R's" for him or anybody else. 

 I'm a business card reader and get one from all our doctors. I ask them right out if I don't understand what is on them. I also read their diplomas too, while I am waiting, and I ask questions. I might be in the minority though.

Fanny this is old news about his business card. Robert Spencer and/or Pamela Gellar posted it a couple of days ago on their respective blogs. I should have brought it over here, but I thought better of it. Sometimes I feel that I bring too much info over I am overloading on bad stuff and not posting enough funny stuff. Sorry it took the MSM so long to figure it out, all they had to do is read Jihad Watch or Atlas Shrugs.

We have changed so much, our country, going from all white, having black slaves, to letting the black live like humans, and that is PC in my book.

Going from all white marriages to inter racial marriages being leagal, that is PC in my book.

Who back when America was a proud country, would have thought we would have gangs?? How many american white gangs do you see?? if any there are fighting for their nieghbor hoods. fighting ppl who came in and took over peddling drugs, raping, killing and robbing, we never had this until they came here!

Where did we go so wrong, we are disgracing and smearing the pride and accomplishments of our fore fathers our ancestors and all americans who died and did all they could to give us this country and these ppl have come in and ruined it!

I am not here to start an argument or to say what is politically correct or not. I tend to steer away from discussing politics period. But some of the above post bothers me.

First of all America did not start out as all white....The Native Americans were here first and our forefathers came to this country and pushed the Native Americans onto reservations and took their land. Millions were killed and most live in poverty. 

Also the blacks did not come here. They were sold by their own people and brought here by our white forefathers. They were forced to work like animals and were treated like animals. No human being....whatever their color or race should be treated that way. But even whites and other nationalities were brought to this  country as slaves. Slavery of another human being is wrong no mater what race.

Also there are many white gangs in the United States. It is not just other nationalities that are causing murder and mayhem on our soil.

The only people in our United States that are not immigrants are the Native Americans. There are good people in every race....just as there are bad people in every race. There are just as many bad whites as there are any other race.
I am not slamming your opinion Scarey , everyone is entitled to there's , just wanted to point out that not all people are bad and mean us harm.

Awesome! I have no idea how the people in the vehicles on the George Washington Bridge felt when they saw that big plane coming at them. I have been on it many times, usually on the top lane because the lower ones are the local lanes. The trip across is terrifying on a good day, the lanes are not really very wide and the whole bridge shakes constantly if you stop. Definitely a white knuckle drive from one side to the other.

Darla, ITA it doesn't matter what race, religion, color, creed you are, as long as you come here and want to become American and nothing else. JSM has Native blood running in her veins along with Irish, Scottish, English. I am just proud to be American.
