You are right, it has been a rough few weeks lately. I hope we have bottomed out, but I am not counting on it.

Glad you have got a crowd for Thanksgiving. JSM will do fine with her stuffing. She is smarter than she gives herself credit for.

You are right JSM is very smart. I am sure she coukd make the stuffing if she wanted to.  I think her idea to buy it from one of the stores was a good idea. A Lot less work too! 

I tell you having grandkids here with me sure helps on days and weeks like we have had.

  Good Morning Monks - I see you all have been busy in here since yesterday evening - I have some catching up to do.  I stayed away from the forums and TV last night to give my weary mind a rest from all the sad events of late, I turned on the Xmas music, got online and shopped (Oh boy the husband is going to flip  ) BUT I got almost all my shopping done with a click - now I just sit back and wait for the boxes to arrive.  Ahhhhh less stress and now I can enjoy the season sitting at home relaxing. I hope everyone is doing well this morning - I see our gal Tevye is here which is awesome.  Going back now to catch up.

Sorry I haven't been able to get back on line most of the day. It seems everyone needed the computer for school work.  JSM I am having a house full for Thanksgiving. But Thanks anyway.
I would like to help you with the stuffing.  Boo Monkey has my email addy if you get it from her maybe I can walk you though making it. 
Prayers for your mom and am very happy to hear CC dad is doing okay.

Okay Monkeys, I think my sister and I have been really bad daughters.

My mom called and said she is having surgery on her back next Wednesday, not looking at the calendar I said "well enough you should be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner".  Arrrggghhhh, I didn't realize that Thanksgiving is NEXT week.   

So being the good mother that she is, she has changed her surgery to day after tomorrow so she can be home for Thanksgiving, BUT she wants me to make dressing for the turkey. HOLY CRAP!!! I can't cook dressing unless it comes from Stove Top Stuffing in a box. What am I gonna do?   

  I am sorry to hear this about your Mom I hope she is going to be ok, with that she is sure to be slow moving to cook Thanksgiving dinner so all the help she can get I am sure will be the best.  Dressing is not hard to do and if you have to Stove Top is very good - I have made it with quick meals at home and instead of using the water it calls for I used chicken broth it jazzes it up a bit and is soooo good.

JSM I'm sorry your mom is having back surgery  Stove top stuffing is good, make several boxes put it in a big container and all set.

Thanks No Rose. I am seriously thinking about the Stove Top. I just wished they told me to make mashed potatoes, I can whip those up in a second from a packet.

  Well Greeneyes lives close by, so I thought it was worth a shot. 

Kroger does have good dressing at the deli. You have to order ahead, but it is delicious. 

Yeee Haawww. I will order Krogers, go buy a fancy pan and pretend like I made it myself.

I am very very tired and worried about my Mom's surgery Wednesday. She will be fine, but I still worry.

Thanksgiving is coming and then Christmas and then I have to go on vacation. I always have an overwhelming sense of doom when I go away.

Why the doom?  I will take your vacation if you don't want it.
