Taser gun used on 10-year-old girl who 'refused to take shower'
A police officer used a Taser stun gun to subdue a 10-year-old girl in her own home.

The officer had been called to the girl's home in Ozark, Arkansas, by her mother because she was behaving in an unruly manner and refusing to take a shower.

In a report on the incident the officer, Dustin Bradshaw, said the mother gave him permission to use the Taser.

When he arrived, the girl was curled up on the floor, screaming, and resisting as her mother tried to get her in the shower before bed.

"Her mother told me to take her if I needed to," the officer wrote.

The child was "violently kicking and verbally combative" when he tried to take her into custody and she kicked him in the groin.

He then delivered "a very brief drive stun to her back," the report said.

The girl's father, Anthony Medlock, who is divorced from her mother, said the girl showed signs of emotional problems but did not deserve to be "treated like an animal".

He said: "Ten years old and they shot electricity through her body, and I want to know how the heck in God's green earth can they get away with this.

"If you can't pick the kid up and take her to your car, handcuff her, then I don't think you need to be an officer. She doesn't deserve to be treated like a dog. She's not a tiger." Local Mayor Vernon McDaniel said the FBI should investigate.

He said: "People here feel like that he made a mistake in using a Taser, and maybe he did, but we will not know until we get an impartial investigation." The local Police Chief Jim Noggle said no disciplinary action was taken against Bradshaw.

"We didn't use the Taser to punish the child, just to bring the child under control so she wouldn't hurt herself or somebody else," he said.

He said if the officer tried to forcefully put the girl in handcuffs, he could have accidentally broken her arm or leg.

Mr Noggle said the girl will face disorderly conduct charges as a juvenile.

JSM that article you just posted stunned me, almost as much as finding out that the defense is saying that Kronk killed Caylee, what the heck are they thinking with that? That threw me, it really did. Johnny Depp, who cares what he has to say, if you are in a room with him, the last thing on many women's minds would be what he had to say

Stunned me too. I found it on the Telegraph, not on any other newsite from the US.

  I didn't know the defense is blaming Kronk for Caylee's death. I guess I will have to go to Caylee's and read.    Baez and that cow Lyons really irks me and I have a hard time reading at Caylee's anymore. I'm afraid I might reach a boiling point and get the big red button.

Now as far as Johnny Depp, if I didn't know his politics, I would tell Josef to shove off the bed, but since I know his stance on politics he can get lossed. I will take that old guy Jon Voight (old enough to be my dad) any day over Johnny Depp.

One of these days that whole family is going to self combust!  And a kudos to you to Trimm for watching the sugar esp now at the holidays, I have to watch it too - if I bake - I eat it....alll of it.  Thank goodness I am not fond of baking - but the flip side is I love to cook

When it gets really tense in the cage I want chocolate.   

I hear ya - after reading over at Caylee's and Shaynia's  tonight I cracked open the Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark - not good.

Mr Noggle said the girl will face disorderly conduct charges as a juvenile.

Sounds like the dad ought to be there with the mother and help raise and control his daughter. Maybe then the police would not have had to be called and Taser the 10 yr old. JMO

Oh no that is not good Fanny - I am so sorry.  I hope you have some pain pills left from your back - take one and then get to the dentist ASAP tomorrow.....the holidays are coming and you can't suffer with a toothache.  As soon as you get it fixed I will share some peppermint bark with you.

Yeah, JSM, I'm glad your mom has already been sprung...well, within minutes. But really, I'm glad the Dr. said she can cook for Thanksgiving. Somehow, I think if you showed up with TacoHell for T-Day dinner, she'd have a problem with that. (To say nothing of how depressed it would make her not to be able to make her own T-Day dinner...I know it's bummin' the hell outta me. I am not even allowed to bring a dish to pass to my fam's dinner...but at least this year my DH and I won't be spending it alone and eating PB&J's for dinner (which I rather enjoyed, but this year I want to be with family).

  Thanks Tevye. She will make some desserts, but not do too much. I am glad you are spending time with your family. You will have a great time, but PBJ sounds even better. My sister is making the dressing  I have to make deviled eggs. 

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

12 eggs
1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 slices bacon
2 tablespoons finely shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon mustard
finely chopped green onions for garish

Place eggs in a saucepan, and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and . remove from heat as soon as water starts to boil. Cover, and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, and cool. To cool more quickly, rinse eggs under cold running water.
While eggs are cooling, place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Fry over medium-high heat until crisp. Crumble and set aside.
Peel the hard-cooked eggs, and cut in half lengthwise. Remove yolks to a small bowl. Mash egg yolks with mayonnaise, crumbled bacon and cheese. Stir in mustard. Fill egg white halves with the yolk mixture and refrigerate until serving. Just before serving spinkle green onions on top for garnish.
