Thanks, Northern Rose. I talked to my daughter yesterday, they have 0 temps and 8 inches of snow. My son is thrilled (snowmachining is ON!) and she is disgusted!

I need to go shovel snow.  We got dumped on last night and a friend of my daughter's is picking her up in 1/2 hour so I better get things shoveled before they get here.

Did she have a nice party? 

Both of the older ones came over and had her birthday dinner with her and cake.  Good thing I baked two strawberry shortcakes yesterday.  She then opened her present which was a flute and was in heaven.  Her brother brought out his 12 string guitar and the other brother brought out his Sax and the three of them were playing random songs together.  I sat on the couch with tears in my eyes as I was overwhelmed with pride and feeling so blessed.

Her BIG party with her friends which is going to be at a later time, probably after Christmas. 

  It must be nice to have musical talent in the family. No one in my family can play a thing. I played viola from 3rd grade til 11th, I couldn't play it if I tried now.  My 5 yo nephew is taking piano and has learned the very first part of Joy to the World. 

Sounds like a great time.   
JSM,I took piano lessons for 5 yrs when I was growing up.I drove my teacher crazy cause my hands are small and I liked to play by ear.   
Us monkeys have talent.   
I really wish I had some of NorhternRose's dessert.

Guess what?I got my light fixture put up all my self.It doesn't sound like a big deal,but I got shocked  as a kid at a little country store one time.I was opening the freezer to get a popscicle and yooowwwza did that smart.Scared the chit out of me.I got a free popscicle.Pfft. 
Anyway the light isn't perfectly straight,but I did it!     If anyone laughs I will smack'em with my toolbox.   
I really should be cleaning my house.

Love your new snowman avi, I was out buying some more Christmas decorations yesterday, don't need any, but bought some anyway. Every year I like to see what is new 

Brandi made it for me.   
I don't need any ornaments either.You know I got sorage bins full of brand new silver themed ornament the other day at our trade and swap.I already have a closet full of ornaments.I called it "The Closet" I don't know where I am gonna put this new stuff after Christmas.    I guess I'll have to fix in my upstairs closet.Hubby just shakes his head.    I got  enough stuff to decorate 3 trees.    I have enough lights to rival the Griswalds,but I am not putting them up.Just one tree this year.

Nope, unfortunately not OT, but just need to get some stuff done before the long holiday weekend. We are a person short this week and if I don't do it today, something will happen and I will be really behind.
