Fanny, our flag has been up since Christmas. We have 2 back up ones, and hubby bought a 20 x 40 one (that's feet, not inches!) at an auction. It will go up on the house before Christmas, and be lit by white Christmas lights until they burn out. Then, I'll replace the lights. On 9-11, I went to JoAnn's and bought a roll of 3 inch wide black ribbon and hung it with our flag, as it's just on a little pole and not able to go to half-staff. (Educational note:  flags go to half-mast are on ships, half-staff is for land).

Glad you're feeling better...at least you didn't go SPLAT this weekend!

I left the splatting to JSM this weekend.
I was a blubbering piece of chit all weekend.  I am past the blubbering stage and into the white hot anger stage.

In my family, we have a saying: It's better to be mad than sad. We all function better when we're mad...when we're sad, we're useless. And we loathe being useless! (and when we were kids, we knew how to make a snowball with a rock in the middle of it, and for those particularily pesky meanies on the way to school, we knew to freeze the snowball overnight...much more effective!) That's how we deal with stuff!!LOL!  Thank goodness we will soon have snow...! (hey, and feel free to use this idea on CC!!!!!!!!!!!)

D.C. Sniper Mastermind's Execution Set for Tuesday

Monday, November 09, 2009

Thank God!   That was an incredibly scary time for all of us living in the DC area.   That POS should have been put down a long time ago.   They should have let all the family members take aim at him.

I know it was a horrible time for you. My sister used to live in Silver Springs and Annandale, Va and I used to visit quite a bit. I was very familiar with the area, and I know you all must have just been terrified. No one knew what would happen next, and it was one of the times that the TV stayed on all the time for us. I am glad he is going down. I hope the Virginia Governor doesn't give him a reprieve. I don't trust the O administration to put pressure on him.

Once upon a time, there lived a guy in the Chicago are, that was very mean to a sweet, wonderful, beautiful woman who lived in Ohio.............

We had a very little sprinkling of snow the other morning, so it won't be long.

Oh CC, how would you like to come visit Ohio this winter?? We have a couple indoor golf courses around here. Yeah, that would be a good idea. My hubby likes to golf.......

That GD Hillary is on TV. I wish I had a Hillary rotten tomato thrower. She had nothing to do with the Berlin Wall coming down. If the Dems had their way, the wall would still be there! Bi*ch!

My folks picked me up a piece of the Berlin Wall when they were over there years ago.

Good morning Monkeys.

I'll bet that those who are trying to say that Hasan "Snapped" and "What in the world was in his mind" are really sorry this morning that Hasan has survived and is awake and talking. No, wait.  We musn't "Jump to conclusions." Oh. OK.
I am not sorry that he is awake AND IS ABLE TO TALK. I'm a big proponent of the legal system, and very pro-military. One of my profs from last summer is going to Ft. Hood...as soon as I heard about Fr. Hood I sent her a note offering her (and them) prayers. She wrote back, asking how I knew she was going there before she knew, I told her it's cos I know she's JUST THAT GOOD!

anywho, the reason I'm glad this muslim bastard™ (no caps, not important enough for caps) is alive...so we can kill him. I want to hear all his whining-ass reasons....so we can use them to filter out the other muslim bastards™ who would do this to us. I agree, it might be time to re-think having them in our military, but...Some of our most efficient troops  in WWII were the Nesei, the second-generation Japanese Americans. I think maybe the answer will be more psychological...I would hate to think (and I don't believe) that every Muslim American is trying to kill us all. Xenophobia is at least one disease I don't have.

On the good news front, one of the muslim bastards™ who did the Virginia shootings is scheduled to fry tomorrow. Woo hoo!!

(Gosh, I am bitchy, aren't I? And I haven't even started the hormones and steriods yet!!!)

Sorry, but I am not so forgiving. Every muslim that I know and come in contact with, I am going to ask how they feel about what happened in Ft Hood. If I don't get the right answer they will be on my chit list. I'll start with my local convenience store owner whom I talk with fairly often and will continue on with the women in Kroger who comes with their children. I will stop the neighbor man who exercises every day in front of my house walking past. I will speak to everyone of them I see. I want to know who I am living amidst. If they avert their eyes from me, that will be my answer.

My flag is flying out front every day, just as I said it would. It will be there in the rain, in the snow, in the fog, in the ice, whatever. I bought a spotlight for it to be proper. It is solar powered, but if there is not enough sunshine, I will hook up my electric one. It is NOT coming down. When it gets too old and tattered, there will be a new one bought and put up. I refuse to do nothing. I want to know the truth!!!

WTF?? Muslim FBI Agent leading Ft Hood massacre investigation dismisses Islam's role?If this report is accurate, it seems we now have shariah-compliant law enforcement - no infidels are allowed to investigate Muslims in the US.

Dan Friedman noted this in a post the other day:

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow quotes the FBI agent in charge of the inquiry, Ahmed Faisal, as saying, "we are now confident that Hasan's faith played absolutely no role in his state of mind leading up to this tragedy. End of subject."
Ahmed Faisal. Any bets this guy is a Presbyterian? And he's on MSNBC conclusively dismissing any role that Islam played in the matter. Shariah-compliant law enforcement indeed.

AHMED FAISAL is the FBI agent in charge of the investigation?!!!!

PULEEZE tell me this isn't true. If it is we are worse off than I thought.
