Chocolate Lowers Stress Levels, Study Says
High-Stress People Given 1.4 Ounces Daily

Eating chocolate can show clinical signs of improving someone's emotional state, according to a new study.

Researcher Sunil Kochhar studied 30 volunteers and grouped them into those who said they were highly stressed and those with low anxiety.

All were given 1.4 ounces of dark chocolate daily for two weeks.

A news release on the work said that after that time, there were significant reductions in stress hormones in the high-stress subjects. It did not offer a direct comparison to the low-stress participants.

The release said there is growing scientific evidence that antioxidants and other beneficial substances in dark chocolate may reduce risk factors for heart disease and other conditions.

If Hasan was indeed gay (there's no way of knowing at this time) he knows Islam doesn't look kindly on homosexuals, was this his "honorable" path to Allah (and 72 ripped guys)? Note: If Hasan being gay turns out to be true, how long until the left blames "Don't Ask, Don't Tell?".....

Dallas Morning Newsinvestigative reporter Lee Hancock and photographer Courtney Perry got a look today inside Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's former apartment, now that criminal investigators in Killeen are done with it.

Hasan moved out of the apartment last Thursday, a few hours before the shooting rampage. The complex manager gave journalists permission to view the unit today.

There were no obvious clues left behind, of course. But there was a plastic container for a LaserMax sight. Price tag: $229.99.

Hancock reports they saw several old bottles of prescription pills. One, from 2001, was for the HIV medication Combivir. Combivir (in combination with another anti-HIV drug) was a popular weapon against HIV in 2001. That's according to Dr. Brady Allen, a Dallas HIV specialist who just spoke to Dallas Morning News reporter Sue Goetinck Ambrose. Combivir sometimes was prescribed to health care workers immediately after they feared they'd been exposed to HIV via needle stick or blood splash.

Hasan was in medical school in Maryland in 2001. For reasons that aren't immediately clear, the prescription came from a pharmacy on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Trimm, noticed a few pages back you asked if that was a paper shreder in Hasaan (or WTF ever his name is) apt.  It is the most heavy duty shreder i have ever seen!

I own one and we have one at work, neither are cheap, but they are not that huge and heavy duty, that one looks like it could be the kind you can shred cd's and stuff in too.

Thank you CC. That was a very special song between my sister who died summer before last and I. We went to a retreat in the North Carolina mountains the August of '91 before all hell broke loose. The theme of the retreat was "I hope you Dance." It was a very special retreat, and during the last night, the whole audience, clergy included, pushed all the chairs back, and danced to that song. Most were not dancers usually, but each person got up alone or in couples or in groups and swayed and danced and twirled. I gave her that CD the next Christmas and she played it all the time, and sometimes I would go to her door and I could hear that song. When she opened the door, she would be smiling at me barefooted, and say "I've been dancing!" You brought a smile to my face. 

  That is so sweet yet sad.

The FBI and Military took the bags of shredded papers and such out of the garbage bin outside that Hasen disposed of them. I guess there is a roomful of people tediously putting stuff back together.
