Obama, Pelosi, Reid – “The New Slavery, American Style…”

There is an old saying that those that fail to remember, forget, or ignore history are bound/destined to repeat it.

The history of how the slave system worked isn’t taught in America.  Perhaps it’s best that the slaves are kept in ignorance of how the slave end up in captivity.  The history taught today, only seems to create new classes of disadvantaged folks, and victims.

The history books of today, ignore the struggles of past generations for freedom.

Freedom isn’t an easy road to travel. It’s a lifelong journey that every generation takes.  The guardians of today must ensure that the road stays open and safe for their children, and grandchildren.  Freedom isn’t an easy road to travel, and sometimes guardians are led astray...

There are always masters lurking in the shadows.  Masters come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.  They speak many languages.

What do they have in common?

These folks are waiting to take your freedom away.  They may offer magical roads to paradise.  They come in many guises, and discourage one from looking too closely at how they make their money.  Do they make their fortunes from the misery of others?

In the slave times, some thought slavery was a good deal for workers.  The ‘master’ provided free housing, food, clothing, education, and healthcare.  The workers had all their needs taken care of.

In America, it seems like the Obama administration is determined/hell bent on returning this nation to a time when some individuals labored all day long for the benefit of others, and rarely, if ever, enjoyed the fruits of their hard work and sweat.

The masters are in Congress, the White House, foreign houses, and the homes of big global corporations.

In the slave times, some thought slavery was a good deal for workers.  The ‘master’ provided free housing, food, clothing, education, and healthcare.  The workers had all their needs taken care of.

The laboring class could only look longingly on those that lived in the big white houses.  Sometimes the master wasn’t in residence, but lived in other fine houses hundreds or thousands of miles away.  Sometimes, the master threw the slaves a bone at Christmas.  After the holidays, it was back to work, someone has to pay for all those house parties, traveling, fine clothing, and generous gifts to the workers.

It was an incredible system designed by those that lived in the big white houses.  It took care of all the little people that they believed did not have the capacity to take care of themselves.

A system with thousands of years of human misery to recommend it.

In the slave times, some thought slavery was a good deal for workers.  The ‘master’ provided free housing, food, clothing, education, and healthcare.  The workers had all their needs taken care of.

What more could they want?  What more could they possibly need?

The slave system didn’t make everyone happy.  Some believed they should enjoy the fruits of their labor.  They believed that they should enjoy the homes they built, enjoy the fruits of the fields they sowed, and have the right to build and live in big white houses.

Slaves have been running away and escaping their masters for thousands of years.  They have fought to gain their freedom, and the freedom of others.

In America, past administrations, and the Obama administration once again want to take care of all the little people.  Let’s give them free/affordable housing.  Let’s give them free food, and affordable healthcare.

Why would anyone think these things are really free?

Does anyone really think ‘rich’ people are ever going to pay?  That the ‘masters’ are really generous?

How many times does a nation or people have to regain their freedom?

How long (generations) before the people look longingly at the white houses and wonder when they to will enjoy the fruit of the labor?

How long before they see the trappings of slavery, American style?

When American’s look around, do they think all the free government handouts and promises are a good thing?

Are they ignoring the history of all humans?  Thousands of years of ‘progress’ built on the backs of slaves?

People without the right to enjoy the fruit of their labor?

In the slave times, some thought slavery was a good deal for workers.  The ‘master’ provided free housing, food, clothing, education, and healthcare.  The workers had all their needs taken care of.

Is anything really free or affordable when the masters are involved?

A big shout out and thank you to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.  I’m sure our children and grandchildren will be grateful.

My opinions.

What of the other big white houses?  The white houses on Wall Street?  The white houses in Washington?

It seems like the white houses on Wall Street get almost free and unlimited access to the labor of all those little people on Main Street.  They get access to the labor of the children and grandchildren too.  They make lots of money, and the families that live in the big white houses enjoy the wealth of a nation.

The little people on Main Street, their children and grandchildren get to pay back all the debt created in the white houses in Washington.  When do they get to enjoy the wealth?

Why does the man, the savior in some eyes, in the biggest white house in Washington continue to spread around 'wealth' to foreigners, when Main Street in in debt for trillions and generations?

What happend to taking care of your own first?  Why just add to the debt monkey on the backs of the little folks on Main Street?

In a popular TV commercial, a man in a suit offers one girl a stuffed pony, and another girl a real pony.

Why does Main Street get the stuffed pony, and all those folks in the white houses get the real pony?

When will government work for those on Main Street?  When will the folks on Main Street get to keep the fruit of their labor?  When will they be able to come up and earn the wealth that matters?

Why does Main Street keep getting stuck with the debt created by the white houses?  When will the little people on Main Street get to enjoy the wealth?

What kind of wheeling and dealing goes on in white houses on Wall Street in "dark pool" trading?  All the High Frequency Trading?  How do the people in all those white houses pay taxes?  How would anyone know if they are forgetting about what goes on in the anonymous trading?  In secret computer trading pits?

What about the big white house that manages the money for those on Main Street?  The big white house known as the Federal Reserve?  Any one going to audit the Fed for all those hard working people on Main Street?

Why does it seem that any reform from the white houses in Washington makes the folks on Main Street poorer?  The folks in the white houses richer?

Anyone in Washington, like Congress or the White House want to know about the wheeling and dealing that goes on in the dark?  Where does all the money go?  Who makes all these deals?  How much money do they really return to Main Street?

What about all those bank transfer fees?  In the US, the little people pay like 2 to 3 percent.  In other nations, the government of those little people sets the rates at say less than .5 percent.  Some, iirc, are even lower.  Why do the little people on Main Street America pay more?

When will good men and women of all parties step up to the plate and come to the aid of all the little people on Main Street?

When will freedom return to these shores?

When do the little people on Main Street get a peek on the secret wheelings and dealings in all the WHITE HOUSES?

The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know. – John F. Kennedy

Boston firm shifts 'green jobs' to China

President Obama and the Democratic majority in Congress are spending billions of tax dollars to subsidize development of "green jobs" - positions for people and companies designing and manufacturing alternative energy sources such as biomass, wind and solar.

One of Obama's buddies, Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, is also a vocal advocate of such subsidies. Last year, Patrick put Massachusetts taxpayers' money where is mouth is by backing a $58 million package of incentives and subsidies to Evergreen Solar, which manufacturers collector panels used in solar energy units.

Now barely a year later, Evergreen has announced that it is moving its final assembly phase to a factory in China...

A day the Obama administration can be proud of...

No jobs for you American worker, you just get to pay off the Obama debt, your children and grandchildren too...

If House Democrats hold a vote on their health-care overhaul this weekend, they might as well vote on abolishing the Congressional Budget Office too. It would be no more audacious — and much more honest — than their current strategy for hiding the true cost of their legislation.

Never mind the everyday budget gimmicks House Democrats have used, such as removing $250 billion of deficit spending to be voted on separately. Or claiming their bill would cost just $894 billion — around $400 billion less than the CBO actually projected. We've seen this kind of trickery plenty in recent years; to suppress an inconvenient cost estimate of its proposed Medicare drug entitlement, the Bush administration threatened to fire Medicare's chief actuary.

Quote
President Clinton's ill-fated health plan had an individual mandate, too. Back in 1994, the CBO decided that since "the mandatory premiums . . . would constitute an exercise of sovereign power," the agency would treat all premiums as federal revenues, including them in the federal budget.

That revealed to the public the full cost of Clinton's health plan. Clinton's secretary of health and human services, Donna Shalala, called the CBO's decision "devastating." Journalist Ezra Klein writes that it "helped kill the bill."

Rather than admit the individual mandate's unpopularity and move on, congressional Democrats simply ensured that its costs would not appear in the federal budget this time around by gaming the CBO's rule for what constitutes "federal revenues."

There was a woman in the House that said something like - 'we should cover everyone who LIVES here.  If they're helping build this nation.'  I raked my leaves, should I get free healthcare too?  Why should we cover those who are visiting and those here illegally?

Not all contributions are equal.

Why doesn't everyone contribute equally?  Why are some getting a free ride?
