Shaniya Nicole Davis, 5 Fayetteville, NC Missing #1 11/10/09 - 11/17/09

This case reminds me of the little 4 yr old boy, Wyatt Smitsky, in PA... who drowned in a septic tank, back in Sept.  It has not been ruled yet whether the boy’s death was accidental or a homicide.  Although the cover to the septic tank had been replaced.  Surely he couldn't have done that himself.  His siblings were taken from the parents when Wyatt's body was found.  But authorities have just reunited them with their parents.

Am beginning to wonder if there really was a sewage leak/problem at all.  There *could have* been a beating IN the bathtub, she soiled herself before/during/after a beating, the blanket used to help clean up, and thrown in the neighbor's trash bin to divert attention from the family.  I just wanna know .. where is Shaniya?

I think that Shaniya did attend school because the picture that klass posted of her in the blue shirt shows a back pack on her looks like she mat be on her way to school.....
I was wondering do we know if the 7 year old and Shaniya have the same father?

Wow this is not going to end well at all. Maybe the girl had a BM in her bed or gosh, bodies evacuate when they die. I know we dont' know what is going on forsure, but why don't people just give kids up if they can handle it?

Wyke, regarding researching the mom, There are many Antionette Davis' in that area, not sure how to tell who is who, I don't have a birthdate or a middle initial. I have a paid site I use for work, it is not the most reliable, just as reliable as the information given I suppose. I don't want to put up anything because I don't want to use incorrect information.

It makes me ill to think of the conditions that these children and others must exist in. There is no excuse for that in this country and is a glaring example of neglect. With family services previously involved with this family we know the system has failed these children. We pay millions of dollars in taxes to try and keep children safe. You would think the children could at least breathe air free from the stench of raw sewage! I fear there will not be a positive outcome for this poor missing child. This is all too common and children are becoming our most endangered species.

Why didnt she call the police or look at side to see what was going on???

Barbara who managers the trailor park area had surveillence put up and police are reviwing the tapes. Also Antonette davis was not approved for the trailor park at 1116 Sleepy Hollow but her sister was approved her name I believe that was mention was the name Brenda.

Thanks, so mom wasn't approved for the trailor park, but her sister was.

Sure does look like that, my2cents.  Would love to know if Shaniya was seen at school on Monday.  In fact, haven't heard anyone else in the new reports (yet) saying they just saw her playing the day before or whatever.  Nada.  Just what the mom is saying.  Haven't heard yet about the father of the 7 yr old, or the mother/father of the infant in the home. 

One reason the mom hasn't been on camera much, if at all yet, is cuz she's been grilled by LE, perhaps still is, dunno.  Guess they are questioning the 7 yr old too.  He's probably a wealth of info, most are by that age.

This news article has the mom's name as Antwanette Davis.   

Also says that LE "took the child's mother, her boyfriend and her sister in for questioning".

Thanks JG!  I don't know whether she owned a car or not.  Looks like the home was rented in her sister's name, perhaps the mom/bf/kids were staying with the sister?  Haven't heard yet what her sister's last name is.  First name Brenda?  There are even more Brenda Davis's in that town than Antoinette's.  Sigh.

Thanks Muffybee for reposting the video info, I had missed that.

In the video she states someone was beating on her wall at about 3 AM and she believes the person who was beating on the wall is the same person that placed the blanket into the trashcan? If someone was going to hide something in your trashcan, I doubt they would try to ask first. How does she get from A to B on that one, sorry not following? Also, feces all over the rail and porch of the house the little girl lived in? All over it? How does that happen?
