Little Shaniya Davis’ body was found today approximately 7 miles from the Comfort Suites hotel where Mario McNeill was seen on surveillance tape, carrying the girl. According to Mario McNeill’s lawyer, his client intends to plead not guilty to first degree kidnapping charges.
According to reports, Antoinette Davis is currently pregnant.

Heart .. Thats not the pic I was talking about.. The pic is a middle picture that was posed on here 1 of 3.. I just used a maginifer on the middle picture on the photo gallery of pictures of the elevator that shown 3 pictures together the link posted here and she does have slip ons on... I also saw the slip ons on HLN that was shown earlier today of a close up of the elevator pics... I am going to take a break...

I vote for some tough Saudi Arabian Justice here. I don't remember where I read this article (maybe here?) but it talked about a guy that was convicted of raping and murdering a child. The Saudi's beheaded him then crucified his headless corpse in the town center for all to see. Now that's deterrence. I'm far from a violent person. But I can't take any more of this. Uncivilized crimes deserve uncivilized penalties.

Well hopefully with proper care in jail nothing should get passed down to the baby. But I wonder if after she has the baby if they'd continue to give her meds because its so expensive. Unbelievable--I'm just devastated that we have another outcome like this. One right after another-the only reprieve lately was Shannon.

I just have to wonder if Antoinette is a prostitute, and after she became pregnant could not perform her duties as she once had.

And I wonder if instead, she pimped out her daughter (which we know she did).

What we do not know, however, is if this was the first time.  And exactly what the guy is carrying her towards.

Was he working with Antoinette?  Had Shaniya been forced to endure this before last Tuesday?  Were there others in that hotel room?

Jill..through my tears this is exactly what I have been thinking.  In the pot with the pos waiting for the elevator, the diaper, the bruised neck and face..this poor baby had probably been abused the who time she was with the pos mom.  She was supposed to go home over the weekend to her Dad and the Mom begged to have her stay one more week. 

Why?  My feelings..she was already bruised, reverted to soiling herself and drugged from having sex with men.  She couldn't ever send her home now..so I think they hatched this plan.  I think she died at the motel and they did it on purpose..knowing she would tell what happened and anyone could look at her and see what happened.  She had outlived her usefulness to the pos Mom.  I think when the family called to speak with her the Mom told her to not say anything or they would harm her more. 

I don't blame the Dad.  it is obvious she was well taken care of by him and his family.  We don't know if DSS was involved or the mother said she would call DSS and take her permanently..we only know from his press time the Dad looked truly kind and loving..he looked so sad and distraught.  He will punish himself for letting her go there.  I don't think he ever could have predicted this outcome.  And he has been the man and took responsibility and cared for her ...many out there would not.

Gypsy - I've only known the basic details of this case and had no idea of any bruises.

But just coming in, I have to say that my gut instinct is that this was not the first time. 

I agree, at this point, about the dad but my feelings will change if there is even one iota of negative stuff about him that comes out.

Klaas - I think you could very well be correct - I really hope there is a phone call that will connect this to the pimp/pos - that will put her on death row.

The comment about the child talking to family just reached out and slapped me in the face!  As a Realtor part of our safety classes, when we would go out to show property we are instructed to call in frequently and if we find ourselves in trouble there is a code word to use in a sentence we are to give the receptionist to alert her we are in trouble without alerting the person holding us.Parents and Grandparents need to develope such a code for the children

And maybe HIV is why momma couldn't work anymore.   I hope she gets it good in prison.  So maybe she thought about giving HIV to Johns but she did not care for one minute about the life of this precious little girl.

OMG I just notice something I saw it earlier but it went by so fast on HLN.. The middle picture posted here shows she has shoes on... On HNL they looked like a silver color the pcutre went so far this afternoon ...so would that make it the middle picture arriving and the other 2 pics before and after the middle picutre she is leaving....

I thinkthey are the little pink shoes that she had on in the white dress picture.

CNN reported a little while ago all of the pics released so far are from them entering the hotell.  They said they had plenty of them leaving the hotell and pics of them in the parking lot and of the car.  That explains why the were able to ID him so fast.

Yeah, me too. They do use lethal injection. Of course, only 43 people have been executed in NC since the late 70's. NC has been under the gun for capital punishment over the last few years. A few years back there was a movement to repeal capital punishment but it failed. Thank God.
