With the enlarged area of the pic, Shaniya looks like she is wearing ear hoops/loops type earrings.  Look at the area to the right also, just under/along her chin.

Lawmen search woods near Sanford for 5-year-old Shaniya Davis

A staff report

SANFORD — Investigators looking for 5-year-old Shaniya Davis have roped off a wooded road south of Sanford, where an intense search is underway.

Dozens of Fayetteville police officers, Lee County sheriff’s deputies, and other lawmen are scouring woods along Walker Road, which is across from Carolina Trace.

A Highway Patrol helicopter was at the scene earlier today. The area is heavily wooded and swampy.

Residents of the few houses along Walker Road said they helped lawmen in a search this morning.

Usually as we all sit and await word, I am hoping and praying beyond anything the child is alive. Somehow, as sad and horrible as it sounds, I am not sure what I want. Given the choices of a life of child prostitution/sex slavery and death, there are no good choices. I will just pray they somehow find her and she is alive  and being cared for by a pack of dogs. Is anyone else struggling with this?

Even if Shaniya is found today, this case is horrific and the repercussions will last a long time.  We'll want to follow the trail of the mother and Mario.

I look at jewelry on eBay quite often and I saw those ear plug things.  They were described as body plugs or something like that.  I had no idea what they were and didn't want to know.  Yes, I have seen pictures in National Geographic of African tribes people with no clothes on, but big plugs in their ears and lips.  There are apparently no civilized boundaries anymore. Maybe that's just me.  I don't even have my ears pierced.

But the earrings which Shaniya is wearing in the pics at the elevator look like gold hoops to me.

I know what you mean about getting lost……I’m having a hard time dealing with all the new children recently added and the despicable and horrifying way they are murdered and disposed of……its beyond my ability to process the evil that seems to be running rampant in our society……all these recent deaths have been carried out differently and for different reasons or for no reason, evil has so many faces……..

Search for 5-yo Shaniya Davis intensifies in woods near Sanford

A staff report

SANFORD — The search for missing 5-year-old Shaniya Davis appears to have centered in on a remote wooded area of southern Lee County, seven miles south of the hotel where the girl was last seen Tuesday.

Since at least this morning, dozens of lawmen along with residents of the area along Walker Road have combed swamps, creeks and woods. The road  — across N.C. 87 from Carolina Trace — is roped off with crime-scene tape.

Earlier today, a Highway Patrol helicopter was at the scene. By 3 p.m., several all-terrain vehicles were seen driving into the area.

Residents of the few homes along Walker Road said they helped lawmen in a search this morning.

Theresa Chance, a Fayetteville police spokeswoman, said local, state and federal authorities have been searching several sites between Fayetteville and Sanford today. Shaniya was last seen early Tuesday morning at a Sanford hotel, based on surveillance video.

The present search is across from Carolin Trace, a country club, I wonder if he was a golf caddy at that club in the past.
The link below has nothing to do with the child, I looked it up to piece together the location. I need a full written picture of events.

I noticed also some very beautiful homes in the area.

Yes, NRCG, I saw also what appeared to be nice homes, I was looking for Mobile Homes.
He must have known that spot if he worked at the Country Club mowing grass, etc.
I do not know if he worked at the Club or not, how else would he know that cozy spot?

If you go to the google street view, the area of Walker Rd is very desolate, almost no houses and swampy looking on both sides of the road.  I imagine alot of swampy areas:
