i agree that the police prob have a pretty good idea as to why this man has her and maybe that is the reason why they dont think he will hurt her. who knows...im just happy they are pretty confidant that she is still alive

Yes, they need to clean up that video.  It goes for a long time prior to them actually discussing the case.  You can scroll until it starts.  The photos they show of the perp and of Shaniya are at the very end.

I don't know everyone, I see a scared little girl who is being held so she doesn't run off and going to a room with a man and it scares me. I hope and pray with all of my heart that this guy has not hurt her or sold her off to someone in order to pay a drug debt. I pray he was protecting her from abuse or whatever would be good intentions.
I will feel better once I know she is safe. Thank you for the updates, may we all log on tomorrow and learn she is safe and sound.

I just dont see how or why the boyfriend would have had shaniya with him, and then what...he drove off somewhere and handed her over to this Mcneil guy, it just doesnt make sense, and Im really trying to understand just what in the world is going on here,  but one thing is certain, this Mcneil guy would be crazy to hurt this baby now, since LE knows he is the one that has her, maybe he will just drop her off and haul butt,that would be the smartest thing to do......I hope  he is smart enough to realize it too!!!

I think some sort of deal whether it was a ransom for father, custody issue , money deal, ect that went wrong ... I dont think the police would bring all this info out if they know who has her and jepordize her safety instead they would of  been down tracking all relatives, friends ect of McNeill's... I dont think he would bring her to a motel with video survellience and employees seeing him if he was going to bring harm to her. I think they are letting him know they knew what happened and the circumstances and to bring Shaniya home... The mother knows more...JMO

Authorities are searching a second suspect in the disappearance of a 5-year-old Fayetteville girl, police said Thursday.

Police said Shaniya Nicole Davis was seen at a Sanford hotel on Tuesday morning with 29-year-old Mario Andrette McNeill.

Got up out of bed to see if little Shaniya had been found.  Apparently not yet.     I'm praying for her to be safe.  I can't pray for her to be brought "home" because I wouldn't wish that he77 hole on any child.  (or animal, for that matter)  Grrrrr...And I think Shaniya's mama needs to starting talking straight about everything and anything.  And so had the rest of anyone else that was in /around the house.  I hope after she's found some people will so get the smack down.  I hope Shaniya is alive and not in pain or fear.    

Why did her mama report her missing like that?  Times don't work out for me.

And why the sewage back up?  That's the landlord's responsibility.  Did the tenets not report the trouble with the septic/toilet?  Because?  People living there that shouldn't be?  The repairman would see something they shouldn't?  Things don't add up.

I still say that the boyfriend did not do this...he may be involved somewhat, but I don't think that he would be the mastermind behind this...jmo....the police have to know what is going on as JG states above..It might turn out that he is the fall guy for this mom as I have said before...we will see...but there must be something on him or he wouldn't have been arrested? unless they did this to make him talk and to fish out this other guy?
there has been no tearful "please return"  from the mom...in fact, she has not even been seen from what I have seen on here and on tv...they didn't give her air time cause they figured out from the get go that she is involved and that it would be a waste of time to plead to a "kidnapper" cause they know that she knows that there wasn't one and that the child is ok..
I feel that the child will be found today and that she will be ok....
