The Pittsburgh Agreement, Are Congress & The American People Irrelevant?

What is the Pittsburgh Agreement?  Can I have a copy please?  What right did my government give away to the global collective?

How will I suffer so that some global business and global citizen can reap even greater profits?

U.S.-EU Joint Declaration and Annexes
2009 U.S.-EU Summit Declaration
November 3, 2009

Quote
We recognize the importance of expanding our cooperation on issues of global concern, notably climate change, development, energy, cyber security and health. We therefore agree:

To promote an ambitious and comprehensive international climate change agreement in Copenhagen. Together, we will work towards an agreement that will set the world on a path of low-carbon growth and development, aspires to a global goal of a 50% reduction of global emissions by 2050, and reflects the respective mid-term mitigation efforts of all major economies, both developed and emerging. We recognize the scientific view that the increase in average global temperature ought not to exceed 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, as stated by the Leaders of the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate. All contributions to the global mitigation effort should be robust, recognizing that their specific features will need to be designed in the light of science and our respective capabilities. In the context of an ambitious agreement in Copenhagen, we are prepared to work to mobilize substantial financial resources to support adaptation for the most vulnerable and to support enhanced mitigation actions of developing countries.

To strengthen efforts to develop strong and well-functioning carbon markets, which are essential to maximize climate finance and to engage emerging and developing countries in ambitious emissions reduction actions. We will therefore work together to expand carbon markets as we design and implement our cap and trade systems.

The US is broke.

How many jobs will be lost to countries that don’t care about the environment?  IIRC, the US now contributes a drop in the global bucket of pollution.

Bankrupt coal and industry = bankrupting generations of Americans.

Who profits from the carbon markets?  Why do carbon markets have to exist at all?

Where is the definition of “maximize climate finance”?  Who will reap the profits of all this climate finance?  Main Street?

continue to fulfill commitments from the Pittsburgh, London and Washington Summits, including the creation of more resilient financial regulatory structures with an enhanced and expanded scope of regulation and oversight.

I believe the health of any financial or economic system depends on the integrity of those that participate and are part of the oversight organization.

re was integrity when Wall Street fell?  All that money disappeared from the banks, Freddie/Fannie/FHA?  The balance sheet at the Federal Reserve expanded?  The emails saying “the subprime market is toast” were floating around?

Anyone go to jail yet?

Seems like we have the same players, creating this new enhanced financial regulatory and oversight structure?  Where is integrity?  Did they hold a seminar?

Any of these folks go to jail yet?

Anyone find all that missing money?

To fight protectionism together, as the world’s largest economies. We will lead by example by respecting our G-20 commitments to refrain from raising or imposing new barriers to trade and investment. We are committed to supporting efforts by the WTO and other international institutions to monitor new trade barriers with a view to increasing transparency in global trade.

The Chinese have said there is no such thing at FREE or FAIR trade.  I think they’re right.  There are just winners and losers.  The US taxpayer has been on the losing side for over a generation.

Who’s looking out for Main Street?  Why are Wall Street profits more important?

Who profits from the ‘free’ and ‘fair’ trade that exists today?  Large global businesses?  Global citizens?  Those that are above the national tax laws?  Those that trade and conduct business in secret societies and computer driven markets?

The Obama taxes and debt seem to be a hugh barrier to investment in the US.  Hugh barrier to wealth and job creation.  I think the Obama taxes and debt are slowing killing of the middle class, small and medium businesses, and investments by large businesses.

Won’t nobody give an American a job?

George Soros said something the other day, like our economic system is broken, but we don’t know it yet…

I think many have had a clue, for over a generation.  It’s the lack of integrity in Washington that is killing our nation.

We can’t change other nations, we can’t make their economies strong, it’s something they have to do for themselves.

We can make our nation stronger.  The Obama tax and spend policies seem to keep the unemployment rate rising, the number of businesses liquidating rising, and increasing the number of Americans living on the verge of economic catastrophy.  Where is the hope and change?

Will develop our working relationship on mobility and security matters, including border, readmission and travel document security policies. We welcome the signature of the working arrangement between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the EU border security agency Frontex and we will work closely to implement it.

We acknowledge the social and economic benefits to our citizens from visa-free travel in a secure environment between our two continents. We will work together to complete visa-free travel between the U.S. and EU as soon as possible and increase security for travelers.

Open uncontrolled borders?  More terrorists?  Economic terrorists?  Terrorists on a mission to maim, kill, and destroy?

Is Congress irrelevant?  Are voters irrelevant?  Anyone in Washington care what Americans think about the future and how our success should be achieved?

What is the Pittsburgh Agreement?  Did Obama give away Americans rights?

Ramming through all this expensive legislation just a faux formality?

Does Congress matter any more?  Has the Obama administration sold us into slaver for the profit of global business and global citizens?

Along with the Pittsburgh and Paris agreements, is ACCRA.  Is this the Obama agenda?  The US leaders agreed to bankrupt this nation?  Obama is carrying out this anti-American plan?

*End poverty by 2015.* This is the historic promise 189 world leaders made at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 when they signed onto the Millennium Declaration and agreed to meet the "Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).":/goals The MDGs are an eight-point road map with measurable targets and clear deadlines for improving the lives of the world's poorest people. World leaders have agreed to achieve the MDGs by 2015.
It’s up to us to make sure leaders follow through on these commitments. The "United Nations Millennium Campaign":http://www.endpoverty2015.org supports and inspires people from around the world to take action in support of the Millennium Development Goals. Join the UN Millennium Campaign and be part of the generation that puts an end to poverty.

Sounds like a worthy goal.  Is this the point of Obama’s failure to return the nation to a sound financial footing?  Ignoring Main Street?

Destroy America?

•   Not use the economic crisis caused by rich countries as an excuse to renege on their aid commitments to poor countries, which are already bearing the brunt of the financial crisis. OECD member countries of the G-20 must re-affirm their previous commitments to allocate 0.7% of their gross national income for development assistance and establish transparent, time-bound calendars for the disbursement of these funds.
•   Honor their pledges for a moratorium on protectionism made at the G-20 summit held in Washington on November 15, 2008 and develop structures for effective monitoring and supervision to prevent further protectionism.

The practice of ‘free’ and ‘fair’ trade seems to benefit only rich global corporations and rich global citizens.

When will investment dollars be used for Main Street?  When will Main Street have the opportunities that were so cherished by past generations?  The freedom to work hard and be rewarded for your labor?  The ability to labor for yourself?  The ability to labor and not have the fruit of that labor confiscated by big government?

Are greedy countries responsible what Bernie Madoff did?  All the money his ‘investors’ lost?

Are greedy countries responsible for the disappearing money on Wall Street in the banks?

It seems like the citizens of the MANY countries are having to fill the void created by the greedy folks on Wall Street and in many national governments.  Why didn’t the government officials just say no to casino banking?  Speculative subprime/junk investment strategies?  Why didn’t they just close the casino?  Shore up and repair the financial firewalls that used to protect citizens?

http://endpoverty2015.org/g-20-london-summit-2009-special

Why not put the blame of greedy manipulative global corporations and citizens?

Some seem to blame rich countries for all the ills.  These same rich countries are deeply in debt, their citizens losing everything.

Meanwhile, some of those in the financial sector are making record profits, wheeling and dealing in secret societies of the dark pools, HFT, and Federal Reserve.

When will there be a robust audit of the Federal Reserve?  It’s seems like the US will forever be the victim of unknown market forces, and unknown players.

How can there be meaningful reform when the Federal Reserve continues to wheel and deal in secret?

Slavery has been around for thousands of years.  It seems to be so popular around the globe that President Obama has decided that Americans and those here legally need to be held in slavery too.  Hope and change, Obama style.
