We are supposed to get freezing rain here tonite.  Drat.  Nothing like "ice skating" in your car to work.

From Deepak's 6-29-05 Statement:  

You are telling me that John Charles CROES has stated that I wrote while I was chatting with him that I had written that the girl had put her hands in/down my pants, I can say the following. I did this to frustrate/mess up the investigation. I wanted to direct the focus of the police on myself and Joran because we were afraid that Satish would get the details wrong with regard to the "Holiday Inn" story. I was almost certain that our telephone conversations were being taped and I was certain that my computer was being monitored too.


So Deepak lied to a friend because he wanted to frustrate/mess up the police investigation within the first 48 hours and now wants to sue the private investigator.  He needs a better excuse for lying about sexual contact with Natalee than they were afraid Satish wouldn't lie very well.

Well, I was yelled at the first time I asked this question but here goes again.  WHEN did Deepak chat all this to JohnCharles Croes?  Tuesday night is out for he was with the HT's and the Alabama delegation right from the casino until dawn.

I think Wednesday would be too late to help with an alibi so was this Monday, the night Natalee disappeared, Sunday into Monday as Deepak stated also in that statement?  Was this Wednesday or later that he did this?  

We have never seen Deepak's phone records??

I don't know the answer to your question, Anna, but your reasoning seems right. I DO know that Deepak claiming in a suit that Dr. Phil and the rest of the defendents are responsible for "defaming" his reputation glares in the face of the incident you refer to. K2s "defamed themselves by lying, over and over again. Even if they were innocent, there are no grounds for that suit. Their actions have caused them to be the obvious suspects, not Skeeters tape.

I don't know the answer to your question either Anna , but agree with CBB I would imagine deepak would have to show in his suit that he suffered damages to his reputation etc. . How in view of all the lies he told, and admits to telling he can expect to say someone else caused his defamation is beyond me......

To your question as to who John Charles CROES is, where he lives and how often I have chatted to him on "MSN", I can say the following.
The afore mentioned John lives with his whole family in Miami. I have known him since school. We were together at the MAVO. On Monday Mai 30th 2005 I had chatted with John from about 02:40 to 03:30 hours. We didn't chat continually. From time to time I went and watched some TV. But I am sure that he was online during the time-frame I just mentioned above here.  (note, that would be the same night/early morning Natalee went missing)

Again that is so glaring, Deepak knew on the early morning of May 30 that the girl was missing, and there would be an investigation and he was already covering and misleading. This is before the H/T's ever got near the island.

Do we have reason to believe that Deepak is truthful about that insofar as he was in communication ( or DK's computer was connected to Croes' computer) during that time? Any collaboration of that?

I am not sure how to take this statement. Seems DK was bragging about an incident that never happened?.chatting with his friend croes, he places himself and Joran together with Natalee? The time frame is all wrong because infact DK dropped Natalee and Joran off at his house, and Deepak and Satish went home? I am not sure I agree with this, just trying to speculate on the possible meaning of the statement.
