THE growing list of Tiger Woods' mistresses could be overshadowed by an even sadder scandal - one of the world's great athletes may have been battling a fascination with drugs for years.

As new dramas engulfed Woods and his family yesterday, more evidence emerged that at least some of his extra-marital adventures with a series of nightclub hostesses and porn stars were fuelled by more than lust.

The drug Ambien has now been named by more than one of the women as being a key part of their liaisons with Woods.

Ambien, a sedative, also produces strange side-effects in some people and is lauded as an underground aphrodisiac. In Australia the drug is marketed as Stilnox, a sleeping pill linked to several cases of sleepwalking, sleep-driving and post-sleep amnesia.

Rachel Uchitel, the first of Woods' mistresses to be revealed, has already been reported as boasting of his sexual performance while taking Ambien. Yesterday, several news websites named at least two of his so-far anonymous mistresses as enthusiastic users of the drug.

Ambien was one of two drugs wife Elin Nordergren handed to paramedics after Woods' car accident of the week before last which eventually led to the revelations of his philandering. The second drug was Vicodin, a pain killer. Combining the two, particularly with alcohol, produces an artificial high.

In other developments:

• Porn star Joslyn James, real name Veronica Siwik-Daniels, became the 11th woman outed as a Woods' lover.

• His Swedish politician mother-in-law Barbro Holmberg, 57, returned home after being rushed to hospital in the middle of the night.

• Sports drink Gatorade dumped its line of Tiger-branded drinks, and several of his TV advertisements were taken off US screens.

Two of the women involved with Woods – Uchitel and cocktail waitress Jamie Grubbs – have been revealed as serial partners of famous men.

Uchitel, who lost her fiancee in the attacks on New York of September 11, 2001, has been linked to at least five American celebrity sportsmen and Grubbs apparently partied with Australian rules football star Gary Ablett Jr just weeks ago.

A representative of Ablett's management yesterday confirmed the chance Las Vegas meeting at the Tao nightclub.

"Gary said he might have met her at a Halloween party with a group of people," he said. "I think the name might have twigged his memory because it is a bit of an unusual name, Grubbs. That's what he remembered."

He said Ablett also recalled her white nurse's outfit. "Everyone was dressed-up. It was in a club," he said.

Meanwhile, in Florida, the Woods household remained divided.

His wife Elin, her twin sister Josefin and their mother, Ms Holmberg, are holed up in a house on the exclusive gated estate where Woods remains in the main family home.

Ms Holmberg, the governor of a Swedish province, is understood to be involved in the negotiations between Woods and his wife over their future.

She was taken to hospital after a 2.35am emergency phone call but was soon released. Unconfirmed reports suggested an asthma attack.

"Oh, hurry up, my mum just collapsed," a female caller begged a dispatcher, according to a recording released by authorities. "She collapsed in the bathroom. What do I do?" she said later. A baby could be heard crying in the background.

TIGER Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have avoided contact with the public by hiding out in their family home in a Florida gated community since news of Woods' alleged affairs broke two weeks ago.

Now a source close to Nordegren's family tells Fox News that the two are considering putting even more distance between themselves and Tiger's cheating scandal.

The insider says the couple is planning to leave the United States “very soon”.

“Elin and Tiger are planning to temporarily move closer to Sweden, possibly to a private island, to get away from it all,” the insider said.

Meanwhile several news agencies are reporting that Nordegren may have bought a $2.29 million house on an island near Stockholm last week by herself.

Swedish news agency HPG,reported that she bought the house with her twin sister, Josefin, not with Tiger.

The news comes after Elin’s mother Barbro Holmberg, visiting from Sweden to assist her daughter, was rushed to Florida’s Health Central hospital yesterday morning after suffering stomach pains.

She was released later in the day and reportedly returned to her daughter's house.

Despite the number of women coming forward to claim affairs with Woods, Nordegren’s family is hoping that the high-profile couple will somehow work through the scandal, the insider said.

“Elin’s family couldn’t be more devastated,” the source said. “But they want Tiger and Elin together for the kids’ sake.”

The family's efforts to keep it together come as more news on Tiger Woods' alleged promiscuous behaviour comes to light.

A source said Woods was at New York’s club The Griffin numerous times during the summer of 2009, where he met up with his first outed alleged mistress, Rachel Uchitel, who worked at the club as a VIP hostess.

“He was always very flirty as he partied, and kept coming back,” a club insider said.

"A few people started to think it was suspicious that Elin was never there.”

How far is too far for the media and reporters etc to go in getting a story and helping to ruin  a person's life? I think that it would be really out of line to print any nude photos of anyone without their consent...jmo...not fair to a female to have that happen to them and it is not fair to a male either imo...

A LOVECHILD and a sex tape - the latest claim about golfing giant Tiger Woods is that these are at least two more revelations he needs to fear.

As "friends" of his wife Elin Nordegren supposedly told the US media that she planned to stay with him for the sake of their children, the National Enquirer was reported to be about to reveal the existence of at least one child fathered by Woods outside his marriage.

But the American edition of People magazine has quoted Nordegren's "friends" saying she is devastated by Woods' alleged infidelities but plans to stay married.

"She is a child of divorce and that's not something she's likely to want to do to Sam and Charlie," an unnamed friend told People.

And it was claimed Woods has avoided the public gaze because his wife broke one of his teeth in their row before the crash.

Star magazine in the US reported that Elin threw a mobile phone at him after she caught him texting club promoter Rachel Uchitel.

Meanwhile, porn star Holly Sampson has talked on an adult website called Naughty America about having a fling with Woods.

She claimed she was invited to a stag night for Woods because a friend knew one of his assistants.

"Me and my girlfriends, we did a bachelor party for Tiger and it was amazing," she said.

In an interview at a kitchen table – wearing a red dress with her breasts exposed – the star of films like Diary of a Horny Housewife added: "He picked me to go in the room and have some whatever. I have to say, he was really good.

"His teeth are perfect and he is the perfect gentleman. He has beautiful everything, beautiful."

When told she looked like Woods' wife Elin, Sampson, 36, said: "I know. I think he likes blondes, obviously."

Golfers say they weren't interviewed about Woods

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two golfers quoted by a weekly magazine as making disparaging remarks about Tiger Woods and his marriage said Thursday night they never spoke to the publication.

In a story that Life & Style posted on its Web site, Ben Crane is quoted as saying Woods is a "phony and a fake" and that Woods' wife knew about allegations of extramarital affairs. It also quotes Charles Warren as saying Woods' wife "had stars in her eyes and maybe dollar signs too" and should leave him.

The magazine said in a statement it was investigating.

"This is unbelievable," Ben Crane told The Associated Press from his Dallas-area home. "I never said a word about anything. They print this and put my name next to it."

Warren said through his agent that he has not given an interview of any kind in two months.

"I have not spoken to Life & Style magazine, so there is no story here," Warren said in a statement.

Crane's agent, Tommy Limbaugh of 4UManagement, said a magazine official told him the interview took place at the PGA Tour Qualifying tournament last week at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Crane finished 51st on the PGA Tour money list this year and was not at Q-school. Warren, who finished 147th on the money list, withdrew from Q-school before the final round. He was too far back to earn his card.

"We sent an experienced freelance reporter to a golf tournament attended by several PGA pros," the magazine said in a statement. "Our reporter spoke with two golfers who presented themselves as Ben Crane and Charles Warren. We are taking these claims very seriously and investigating further."

Asked if the magazine took photos of the golfers it interviewed, a spokeswoman declined further comment. Life & Style published the quotes Wednesday afternoon, and several Web sites posted them Thursday.

Crane said he first learned about the quotes Thursday morning when his agent called.

"At that point, I was like, 'OK, that's the farthest thing from the truth,'" Crane said. "I didn't realize I should be proactively calling you and (other journalists) until all of a sudden the tour called and said they wanted to run it (on television)."

does anyone else think that it is time for the public and the news medias to back off of this story now and to let Tiger and his family do what they need to do to heal and to work on their family? I do...enough is enough...imo...we know by now that TW is a cad..he did wrong...many times over from the sounds of things...but what is going to be enough punishment for this man ? I don't know....it is just leaving a sad feeling for him and his family now for me...before I felt mostly sorry for Elin and the children...then I felt sorry for all of them, still do...What will make the public and the press happy? if he is stoned in Times Square ? where it is going, especially, GMA interview with his GF. I did not see the interview only, because, I could not believe it would take place on a family morning show!

 I am going to back-off of this story.  I would like to see Wedding photos of his friend, something more amusing. I did see a funny video of TW not youtube...I excercised better judgement and didn't post it...enough is enough..Muffy Bee posted an article and stated that the, Golfers, weren't enterviewed, so now the press is fabricating more tales..enough!

Seahorse...I guess after seeing that Jamie G. on the interview, I just had a sick feeling in my stomach... She was all about her...she was hurt...she was this, she was that...it was all so fake feeling! this woman participated in a 32 (?) month "relationship" where she felt that she was the only woman in his life....Yet they were intimate about 20 times.....ok...do the math....and she didn't know that he was married at first, but yet she saved all of the voice mails (perhaps) and certainly a bunch of text messages and emails...which she is producing from what I understand...This is her way of closure...she even apologized to Elin! she has some nerve! if she really didn't want her 15 minutes of fame, she could have remained silent and not went to the media..From what I understand, she went to the magazine herself, no one even knew about her! that is the kind of stuff that I am speaking of..that and the untrue stuff that is being said about Tiger and his family,,...The media will go after anything and anyone and they are relentless..

I certainly have enjoyed reading and enjoying the articles on this train wreck, will be the first one to say so, but it is just getting raunchy to me now...Do we the public really need to see all of these personal text and email messages? I don't think so...although it is certainly entertaining, it is also very very destructive to a young mother and her children who don't deserve any of this...I think that the tide is going to turn more towards how we are feeling now...we heard it, we shook our head in shock, we had our say, and still will on here for sure as it is news...however, my thoughts are just to leave them alone....Tiger needs to come forth and do like David Letterman did...yeah, I really messed up, I am an a$$ and I have my work cut out for me to heal myself and my family...blah blah blah...
