Cops Pursue Warrant in Woods Case

Posted Nov 30th 2009 12:05AM by TMZ Staff

Sources tell TMZ the Florida Highway Patrol is now focusing on obtaining a search warrant -- allowing them to seize medical records from the hospital that treated Tiger Woods -- in an attempt to determine if the wounds Woods sustained are consistent with a car accident or domestic violence.

(snipped)

Boy this case is turing into reverse celeb preferential treatment.

If this was not Tiger Woods, does anyone think the police would be going to such ends? For a solo car accident or domestic violence!

How many brutal domestic violence cases just get brushed under the carpet?

Do your report and get on with it. I would tend to think that his MVA insurance would be more concerned seeing if they can get out of paying any claim for crash damage to the Escalade or the busted out window from the "Big Bertha" driver.

RED-

I completely agree. No way. A warrant for his injuries from a one car accident on his property where no alcohol was involved?

I'm sorry, I have revered him as an athlete for Y E A R S. He is apparently human and flawed like the rest of us.

That said, and I do not advocate domestic violence in any way, if he is running around on his wife behind her back, I hope she has her own counsel.

He and his team are orchestrating every move.  Even if she has her own counsel his team will be advising every move.

She will listen to whatever is told to her at this point because they will find out that she did indeed cause these bruises.

why does "the other woman" need an attorney? and Gloria Allred yet?
I have mixed feelings on this...I suppose if she and Tiger did not have an affair and her name is being drug through the mud, she would want to voice her innocence on it..however, if they were messing around, now everything will come out ...sometimes silence is golden? ...I do feel sorry for Elin...going through anything like this is hard enough but when it is so public....geez....it would be awful!

Just a rumor but posted on the NY Post:

"As an angry Tiger Woods stormed out of his Florida mansion after a nasty fight with his wife, he blamed her for ruining Thanksgiving, it was reported today.

"You've ruined our Thanksgiving! Are you happy now?" he yelled at Elin Nordegrin, according to Radaronline.com."

Now if true, how did she ruin his Thanksgiving.  Did her bringing up the NE Article and questioning him ruin his Thanksgiving?

OK more questions

Did he have company over for Thanksgiving.

The fight must have started during the day and escalated at 2 am.

If this is true how did this person hear what he was saying.  It's not light his house was attached to another house.

How come his neighbor didn't know it was Tiger who was on the floor.  If I lived next to one of the most famous athletes in the world I would know if it was him.

Stay tuned because I believe this is going to get more interesting.

Tiger Woods tells of his quiet nights in Australia watching footy

    * By Carly Crawford and Michael Warner
    * From: The Daily Telegraph
    * December 01, 2009 12:14AM

TIGER Woods spent his nights in Australia watching the NFL - not out partying with a New York nightclub hostess.

In an exclusive email sent to The Daily Telegraph just days before Saturday's car smash, Woods told of how he spent his time at Crown Casino and vowed to bring his wife and children to Melbourne as early as next year.

But the superstar sportsman's life took a spectacular turn when his black Cadillac Escalade mysteriously ran off the road in the middle of the night, just metres from his home in Florida.

"It was good to be able to follow the NFL while I was in Melbourne," Woods told The Daily Telegraph. "I enjoyed being there. I was made to feel very welcome and it was nice to win for the first time in Australia. It would be great if it helps get more people into golf."

The golfing legend yesterday broke his three-day silence over the bizarre low-speed crash, saying he was to blame and his wife Elin Nordegren the hero.  But he failed to properly explain the events that left him bloody, dazed and unconscious with his wife hovering around him with a golf club.

"This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again," he said.

Woods, 33, lashed out at claims he was feuding with his wife over reports he had hooked up with nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel in Melbourne.

"The only person responsible for the accident is me," he said. "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false."

Ms Uchitel, 34, has admitted to staying at Crown in the same week as Woods but explained she was there on business with a boyfriend.

A US website yesterday claimed that Tiger had told friends Ms Nordegren had "gone ghetto" during the fight over the false allegations and that he needed to buy her an expensive ring to make it up. Both Woods and Ms Uchitel strongly deny an affair.

"This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumours that are currently circulating are irresponsible," Woods said.

Emergency 911 tapes released yesterday show it was Woods' neighbour, not his wife, who called for an ambulance at 2.30am.

"I need an ambulance immediately, I have someone down in front of my house they hit a pole," the frantic neighbour said. "They're laying on the ground now . . . he hit the tree. I see him, he's laying down." Woods was treated in hospital for cuts to his lips after the car crash.

Last night the case took a new twist, with website TMZ reporting police were considering applying for a search warrant for the golfer's hospital records to establish whether Woods' injuries occurred before, during or after the crash.

Yesterday Woods turned police away from his Florida home for the third day in a row. He is not legally required to supply an interview but police want to ask him and his wife about the "inconsistent" damage to the car's windows.

"It's unusual, but I will say it's happened before," Sergeant Kim Montes said of the cancelled police interviews.

"Right now, we consider her (Elin) a witness," he told The Daily Telegraph.  Swedish model Ms Nordegren, who has two children with Woods, told the first officers at the scene that she heard the crash, then used a golf club to smash the windows so she could get her husband out of the car wreck.

But TMZ reported, and Woods denies, that she hit the car with a golf club over the reported affair.  "The (two passenger side) windows that were damaged - that's not consistent with the impact of the crash," Sgt Montes said.

Meanwhile, the tabloid magazine embroiled in the scandal came out swinging after Ms Uchitel rubbished its report about the affair.

She denied being friends with the magazine's source for the article but the National Enquirer published pictures of Ms Uchitel with the source, Ashley Samson, from a holiday in Spain.

Prior to the crash, Woods told The Daily Telegraph he had already begun work on his 2010 schedule with a view to defending his sensational Australian Masters victory.

"I enjoyed the week. My future schedule is something we continue to work on," he said in the email. "I hope to bring Elin, Sam and Charlie to Australia in the future."

Hi Tib good to see you.

Sometimes stars find out ahead of time when a story is going to break.  I am betting that Tiger got wind of this and he wrote this email.

I would love to know the date of this email.

Tiger 911 Caller's Lawyer To Hold Conference

Posted: 6:12 am EST December 1, 2009Updated: 7:03 am EST December 1, 2009

Comment On This Story ››
WINDERMERE, Fla. -- Around 11:00am Tuesday, the attorney representing the man who called 911 after Tiger Woods' crash over the weekend is scheduled to speak with media. The news conference comes as organizers of Tiger's charity golf tournament are scrambling to make other plans after he announced he won't participate.

VIDEO REPORT: Lawyer For Tiger 911 Caller To Speak Out

The man's lawyer says his client decided to hold news conference because he has been besieged by interview requests from reporters from around the world. The neighbor is the only person who called 911 after Woods crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and then hit a tree outside of his Isleworth home.

"I have a neighbor, he hit the tree, and we came out here just to see what was going on," Woods' neighbor told the emergency operator.

The caller told the 911 operator he was not sure if the pro golfer was breathing and explained how he was drifting in and out of consciousness.

"I need an ambulance immediately," said Woods' neighbor. (Listen to Call)

Woods said in a statement on his website that injuries from the single vehicle crash will prevent him from playing in his own golf tournament in California this week, He added that he will not play golf professionally at all for the remainder of the year.

Eyewitness News asked marketing experts if that will hurt Tiger Woods image.

"I don't think his not playing in the tournament is going to affect his image one way or the other," said Richard Lapchick, DeVos Sports Business Management.

The Florida Highway Patrol said on Monday that investigators were almost finished with the traffic crash report.

The report could be made public for the first time on Tuesday, but WFTV legal expert Bill Sheaffer says it is unlikely Tiger will face any charges since investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

"If there had been a finding of alcohol or drugs, then you bet it's a legitimate investigation to find out what occurred prior to the crash," said Sheaffer.

Tiger Woods' neighbors in Windermere have been very supportive of him, despite the fact that their town has been crowded with reporters from around the world.

"There's a lot of speculation, but it's not a lot of peoples' business either, so it would be nice to see them go away and let the down get back to the way it used to be," said Karen Murphy, Windermere Resident.

Windermere police have not returned phone calls from Eyewitness News to say whether they have increased patrols to deal with the influx of media.

Several times on Monday, drivers stopped in the middle of the road to take pictures of the swarm of media and the neighborhood.

Hi San - good to see you also.  I read back on all the local media items since the beginning but no clearer description of the email date. It seems the whole incident is now going to be hushed up, but another woman has come out of the woodwork to add her claim to fame.

And I hope he can afford to pay the fine   Monkey Devil!

Tiger Woods to be fined over car crash

Article from: The Courier-Mail

December 02, 2009 09:47am

TIGER Woods will face no criminal charges for crashing outside his Florida mansion but the world's number one golfer has been issued with a careless driving citation.

Woods must also pay a $US164 ($A177) fine and will lose four points from his licence -- one third of the total needed in a year to be suspended -- but the Florida Highway Patrol investigation into Friday's crash is now closed.

There was insufficient evidence for any greater charges and no claims of domestic violence were involved, police spokeswoman Kim Montes said.

The patrol "is not pursuing criminal charges in this matter nor is there any testimony or evidence to support any charges of any kind other than careless driving," Montes said.

Police considered trying to obtain medical records from when Woods was taken to a nearby hospital after his early morning accident, but ultimately did not check to see if his injuries were consistent with those from a crash.

"It was determined that there was insufficient evidence available to issue a subpoena for any additional medical information that might exist in this case," Montes said.

"We cannot speak to the existence of any blood evidence."

After the accident, paramedics asked his wife, Elin Nordegrin, whether the unresponsive Woods was on medication and she went into their home and brought out two bottles of medicine.

The crash occurred early Friday Florida time when Woods ran into a fire hydrant in his neighborhood.

It followed a report in the National Enquirer that he had an affair with New York party planner Rachel Uchitel, an accusation that she has denied.

Woods and his wife have refused to sit down with police investigating the accident.

Woods has called the rumors “unfounded and malicious”.

But now  a second woman has emerged, claiming she had sex with Woods "20 times".

Cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs claims she also has SMS messages to prove the liasion.

Cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs claims affair with Tiger Woods

Article from: The Daily Telegraph

December 02, 2009 06:12am

A SECOND woman has claimed she had a sexual affair with golfing superstar billionaire Tiger Woods - and she's prepared to release SMS messages to prove it.

The new woman linked to 33-year-old Woods has been identified as a cocktail waitress called Jaimee Grubbs, 24,  who appeared recently in an American TV program called Tool Academy.

US media reports have already claimed that Woods has been having a sexual affair with a New York nightclub hostess and that the pair met up in Melbourne when he was Down Under for the Australian Masters.

Claims of the first affair leaked out after Woods was injured in a bizarre car crash outside his home amid reports he was fleeing his wife after she confronted him.

No criminal charges: Tiger Woods to be fined for careless driving

American gossip website TMZ is reporting Grubbs claims she had a 31-month affair with Woods and has approached US Weekly, an American publication to tell her story.

"The woman, Jaimee Grubbs, claims she met Tiger in Las Vegas in April, 2007. The woman - a cocktail waitress who was 21 at the time -- began what she says was a long-running affair with Tiger," TMZ reported.

"According to US Weekly, Grubbs has more than 300 text messages from Tiger - who married Elin Nordegren in 2004.

"The magazine, which comes out tomorrow, claims Grubbs had 20 sexual encounters with Tiger. US Weekly has photos, racy texts from Tiger, as well as a voicemail from November 24, in which Tiger suggests his wife might be on to the alleged affair."

The New York Post reported today several other women have claimed to had sex with Woods.

The Post also reported that Grubbs, who says she met Woods in April 2007, alleges she had "20 sexual encounters with Tiger and has photos, more than 300 racy texts and a voicemail from November 24. In the voicemail, Tiger is said to suggest that his wife might know about the alleged affair."

Meanwhile, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) area commander Major Cindy Williams told reporters Woods would be served with the citation today.

He could be fined $US164 ($A179) and lose four points off his licence.

"The investigation has determined that Mr Woods is at fault in the crash. This afternoon the FHP is in the process of issuing a uniform citation of careless driving to Mr Woods,'' Williams said.

"Mr Woods has satisfied the requirements of Florida law by providing his registration and proof of insurance to us.

"With the issue of this citation, the Florida Patrol has completed its investigation into this matter.''

Another spokeswoman, Kim Montes said was no other charges would be laid.

"The FHP is not pursuing criminal charges in this matter, nor is there testimony or any other evidence to pursue additional charges of any kind,'' Montes said.

"After reviewing the evidence available to us and (consulting with the state attorney) it was determined there was insufficient evidence to obtain any additional medical evidence that might exist in this case.

"There are no claims of domestic evidence by any individual.''

She said the FHP would make no more comment or hold further press conference.

In another development, a New York nightclub hostess has today denied reports she had a fling with Tiger Woods in Australia, as neighbours backed the golf superstar's account of his mysterious early morning car crash.

Rachel Uchitel, 33, said she had met Tiger twice in her life and only in her professional capacity as director of VIP services at a New York night club.

"It's the most ridiculous story. It's like they are asking me to comment if there are aliens on Earth," Rachel Uchitel told the New York Post.

Friday's crash came two days after the National Enquirer reported Woods, 33, was having an affair with Uchitel, 33, who was in Australia at the same time as he was competing there last month.

There has been media speculation that Woods's wife Elin, a Swedish former model, confronted him and chased him with a golf club, smashing in the rear windows of the vehicle as Woods tried to flee, causing him to lose control.

But the 14-time major winner issued a statement on his website Sunday hitting out at the "unfounded and malicious rumours".

And Uchitel insisted "Tiger and I are not friends," telling the New York Post that the fact that she was in Australia at the same time as Woods was only a coincidence.

"Like I could just walk up to the 35th floor and go to the Presidential Suite if Tiger Woods was staying there? Like they would hand a girl a key at the front desk and let her go to Tiger's room. I didn't see him at all in Australia. I was just there with friends."

Bill Sharpe, an attorney for Woods' neighbour Linda Adams and her family, said Tuesday that the golfer's injuries looked like those from a car accident rather than a domestic dispute, as some reports have alleged.

"The scratches on his face were consistent with someone who maybe was in a minor car accident and hit his head on the windshield," Sharpe said. Injuries were "consistent with a car wreck and inconsistent with him being beat up.

"None of his injuries looked like he was beat up by his wife."

Woods was found lying dazed beside his wrecked car Friday at 2:25 am with facial cuts and bruises after driving into a fire hydrant and a tree. The 14-time major champion was treated at a hospital and released.

Woods, who has remained holed up in his mansion since, said the injuries from the crash will prevent him from playing in this week's Chevron World Challenge in Los Angeles, an 18-star golf event to benefit his charity foundation.

A refusal by Woods to explain why he was driving at such an hour, where he was going and what prompted him to go has only increased the speculation.

But Uchitel said the source of the tabloid stories was someone she knew slightly and with whom she was not close, a woman she described as a drug user and prostitute.

"This girl was never around me for any of the time she was saying she was," Uchitel told the Post. "If I was having some big, lurid affair, I would not tell this girl. It's just ridiculous."

Despite Uchitel's denials, the media storm refuses to go away for Woods, whose absence from the Chevron golf tournament ended any hopes he might offer more details about the crash.

With Woods typically not starting his seasons until late January, it could be almost two months until he faces reporters again.

Police charges remain possible from what Woods called an "embarrassing" crash, but the neighbours' attorney shed more light on the night's events.

The noise brought Adams and her two adult sons out of their adjacent home to see what had happened.

Sharpe said they found Elin kneeling beside Woods and upset over his injuries, saying she asked them to call police and medical personnel. She did not have the golf club she said she used to smash in rear windows and pull Woods from the vehicle.

The neighbours wrapped a blanket around Woods, saying he did not appear to have been drinking - police have said alcohol was not a factor in the crash - and awaited help.

"One thing we want to make clear is that Mrs. Woods' attitude was consistent with her being concerned about her injured husband," Sharpe said. "Mrs. Woods was trying to help him. Mrs. Woods was worried about her husband."

Woods and Elin have been married for five years and have two children, daughter Sam Alexis, born in 2007, and son Charlie Axel, born in February.

Alleged Mistress Played Tiger's Voicemail at Work

Posted Dec 2nd 2009 12:58AM by TMZ Staff

Jaimee Grubbs -- the cocktail waitress who claims she hooked up with Tiger Woods -- bragged about her relationship with Tiger at work, even playing a voicemail he left her in front of her coworkers.

An employee at Stone Rose Lounge in L.A. -- where Jaimee works -- tells TMZ, Tiger's alleged mistress came into work last Friday and played the infamous voicemail -- in which Tiger reportedly asks Jaimee to remove her name from her outgoing message because his wife was suspicious.

Tiger comments on current events
By Tiger Woods

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Tiger Woods faces $300m divorce payout if marriage ends

    * By Michael Warner and Carly Crawford
    * From: Herald Sun
    * December 04, 2009 12:01AM

    * Wife has huge prenuptial agreement
    * Couple attending marriage counselling
    * Third woman claims affair with golfer

TIGER Woods is staring at a $300 million payout if his marriage breaks down after another alleged mistress came out of the woodwork yesterday.

Reports last night said Woods' wife, Swedish model Elin Nordegren, has a huge prenuptial agreement that would make it the most expensive celebrity divorce in history.

Overwhelmed by evidence of multiple extramartial affairs, the superstar golfer admitted to "transgressions" that had hurt his wife and children and ruined his public image, the Herald Sun reports.

The admission came as another nightclub hostess, Kalika Moquin, 27, alleged a seven-month affair with Woods.

A picture obtained by celebrity website TMZ showed him in a Las Vegas nightclub at 1.30am on October 4 with a woman who was not his wife.

Woods and Nordegren were having intensive marriage counselling sessions yesterday, with a record divorce payout at stake.

Michael Jordan holds that record with his wife, Juanita, receiving an estimated $150 million settlement.

Greg Norman is not far behind with a $128 million payout to his wife of three decades, Laura Andrassy.

It also emerged yesterday that New York party girl Rachel Uchitel, who stayed at Crown during Woods' Melbourne visit last month, was there as the billionaire's guest.

In another twist, sources revealed Woods burned the candle at both ends at Crown, hitting the tables in private gaming suites at the top of the Crown Towers Hotel.

Woods abandoned the Masters gala dinner, where he was the guest of honour, to join US friends in the gambling session. He left his mum Kutilda to dine alone with Premier John Brumby.

A humble Woods did not respond to specific allegations yesterday, but admitted he had brought shame on his family.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said.

"I have not been true to my values and the behaviour my family deserves.

"I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect."

Woods, 33, posted the extraordinary admission on his website amid mounting proof of his philandering with women he met in nightclubs from New York to Las Vegas.

The most damning evidence was a voicemail message recorded two days before last weekend's car crash that exposed his torrid private life.

A man believed to be Woods is heard telling LA cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs, 24, to expect an angry phone call from his wife.

"Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do a huge favour. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you."

A nervous-sounding Woods ends the message with: "Do this for me. Huge. Quickly."

Grubbs, a reality TV contestant, claimed a 31-month romance with Woods.

His sponsors - including Nike, Gatorade and Gillette - are sticking by Woods.

And Mr Brumby said he'd welcome him back to defend his Australian Masters title next year.

But golf was the last thing on Wood's mind yesterday as he and his wife bunkered down in their Florida mansion with marriage counsellors.
