TIGER Woods has been accused of offering one of his alleged lovers $1m to stay silent on their sex romps in Australia and asked his wife to accept a $55m deal to save their marriage.

Details have emerged today of the bombshell deals being offered by 33-year-old golfing billionaire Woods’ representatives to put a firm lid on his private life scandal, as other reports suggest Woods could be $300m out of pocket if his wife demands a divorce.

Woods is also reportedly undergoing intense marriage counselling a day after the golf superstar admitted "transgressions" in his private life.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Woods was holed up at the family home in Florida with his wife Elin Nordegren as the steady stream of tabloid revelations concerning his alleged affairs showed no sign of abating.

Meanwhile, the key aspects are that the first woman alleged to have been Woods’ lover, New York nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel, was about to do a dramatic U-turn and reveal publicly in the US her earlier claims not to have been his mistress were lies.

Uchitel was scheduled to hold a press conference to tell all, including details of their love trysts Down Under when Woods was staying at Melbourne’s Crown Casino during the Australian Masters.

But Uchitel abruptly canceled the press conference after getting calls from the golfer's reprsentatives, according to a new report.

Several sources told Radaronline.com and TMZ.com that Woods' camp is working hard to keep Uchitel from talking. One told the site that a $1 million payoff was discussed.

Uchitel was first named by the National Enquirer as a Woods mistress, which she denied in an interview with The New York Post in which she blatantly lied about her history with Tiger.

The New York Post reports that after this, Uchitel scheduled a press conference for today as TMZ.com reported that she did in fact have a relationship with Woods, something she was expected to disclose to the media.

TMZ also reported that it was text messages from Uchitel that sent Woods' wife Elin flying into an angry rage the night of his crash, which happened early Friday.

Other women also have come forward claiming to have had affairs with the father of two.

Uchitel hired power lawyer Gloria Allred as soon as the news of Tiger's bizarre car crash near his home broke.

Before the Friday morning accident, where Woods drove his SUV into a fire hydrant and then a tree in his Florida gated community, Uchitel and Woods were texting each other.

When Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, confronted him, she grabbed the phone and called Uchitel, TMZ.com reported. Woods and Nordegren then fought, breaking the phone in the process.

Meanwhile, it has come out that Woods also footed the bill for Uchitel's trip to Australia, according to Radaronline.com. Woods was there as well.

Additionally, Radar reported today that Woods offered cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs, one of the other woman who is claiming to have had an affair with him, a job and a place to live in Las Vegas.

TMZ reported today that Rachel Uchitel who has publicly denied she had sexual relations with Tiger Woods, but has said privately she did indeed have an affair with the golfer.

And it is now claimed it was her - not Jaimee Grubbs - who caused an argument between Tiger and his wife, Elin Nordegren, that immediately preceded Tiger's SUV crash.

In a statement this week, Tiger said, “I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart.”

According to the Daily Beast, "words are evidently not enough to mollify Elin:

"The Daily Beast has learned the details of what it’s costing Tiger to keep his marriage intact. A lawyer familiar with the hastily conducted negotiations of the past 72 hours said that as of Wednesday evening Elin has been offered a $5 million payment immediately if she agrees to stay and her prenuptial agreement is being revised to give her up to an additional $55 million.

"When the couple married on Oct. 5, 2004, at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados, Elin signed a prenuptial agreement reportedly worth $20 million after 10 years of marriage, not considered a large payout for someone who was already as successful as Tiger by then.'

Seahorse..I know what this says but I don't believe it for one minute! She will be paid money...no doubt about it in my mind...otherwise, why hire a high profile attorney like Gloria A.? why get an attorney at all
just deny deny deny and let em talk...if she doesn't ever admit anything and just keeps a low profile it would go away....Make no mistake about it, she is all about the money...imo..

I really feel so badly for Elin...she stayed out of the public eye..didn't flaunt her children around for photos and basically was a good partner and wife to Tiger..they were only married for 5 yrs! I don't know if this marriage can be saved...or even if it should be...there must have been some attachment to the 2 women that we know of that he was messing with...if it was one night stands, more forgivable since there would not be attachment...but these affairs lasted for awhile, were still going on...those would be hard to get over or to forgive in my mind...I think that Tiger has his work cut out for him in saving this marriage..and he will forever have this hanging over his head and one day his children will find this out about him as well...really sad for everyone cause he couldn't keep his putter where it belonged!

WITH a model wife and all the money anyone could want, why would Tiger Woods risk sleeping around? Doug Ferguson, who has reported on Woods for 12 years, casts light on the fall of sport's last good guy.

BEFORE anyone can study the revelations of this week – at least three extra-marital affairs and a colourful incident with his wife, a golf club and his vehicle's window – the first thing anyone needs to know about Tiger Woods off the golf course is what he named his yacht.

Privacy.

Woods gave up a big piece of that when he turned pro with a "Hello, World" ad campaign that earned $40 million then quickly became one of the most recognisable athletes on earth.

He will invite some people into that world, but only so far.

Once asked why he enjoyed scuba diving so much, Woods replied: "The fish don't know who I am."

And behind that statement, paradoxically, is the reason why Woods' confessions have sent such reverberations around the world.

Woods's reputation and sporting prowess have combined to earn him about $1 billion. That reputation would be worth preserving.

Until this week there was no cynicism surrounding Woods, no doubts about his sincerity, no questions about his marriage. He went on tour with his parents, his wife Elin Nordegren was usually by his side, his endorsement contracts were at least partly built on his unsullied reputation.

Just two weeks before the first revelations of his serial infidelity The Courier-Mail lauded his behaviour in an editorial during the Australian Masters last month: "In contrast to some other sports which have stars too often providing negative publicity, golf has a first-rate diplomat in Woods." Part of the reason he was able to carry off such a clean-cut image was his almost obsessive privacy. Few insights were ever given into his private life, meaning there was little scandal to sniff.

When he made history in 2001 as the only golfer to hold all four professional majors at the same time, Golf Digest put him on the magazine cover posing with the four trophies, along with his U.S. Amateur trophy.

Did he keep them on the mantel? A special trophy case? His bedroom?

That remains a mystery.

Even for a magazine with whom he has had a longtime relationship, the trophies were moved out of his house for the photo shoot. That $2.4 million home near a driving range in Florida is off limits to anyone not part of his circle. In response to a query on his Facebook account in October, Woods said he and his wife had managed to stay out of gossip magazines and tabloids. "I think we've avoided a lot of media attention because we're kind of boring," was the reply.

That changed last weekend with a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol that Eldrick Tiger Woods, 33, of Windermere, struck a fire hydrant and a tree shortly after pulling out of his driveway. There were confused accounts of his wife being on the scene.

Then came word of a small photo of Woods on the cover of the National Enquirer, alleging an affair with a New York nightclub hostess.
