14-year-old found shot to death in Baton Rouge

Associated Press - November 30, 2009 6:14 PM ET 

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 14-year-old has been found shot to death near railroad tracks in Baton Rouge.

Police say the body of Gekill Robertson was found around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Investigators believe Robertson may have been shot several hours earlier.

Anyone with information is urged to call the department's Homicide Division at 225-389-4869 or CrimeStoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).

I can't even find what gender the deceased 14 year old is.  No information out about this really.

14 -year-old found murdered in South Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge police are looking for answers after the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy. Gekill Robertson's body was found in the bushes about 25 feet away from the rail road tracks near Marcellious Lane in South Baton Rouge.

Police say Robertson's body was discovered by another young man around 11:30 a.m. Monday. They believe he was there for several hours.

Don Kelly with the Baton Rouge Police Department says the shooting most likely occurred Sunday night. At this point they do not know wether or not drugs was a factor in Robertson's death.

"We really can't rule anything out at this point," said Kelly. "We don't have much to go on."

If you have any information about the murder in South Baton Rouge, call Crime Stoppers at 344-stop.
