When I moved, I saw grand apartments that wouldn't allow pets or dogs had to be itty bitty. I am so lucky I found these apartments and I have been so blessed since I moved here. They maintenance guys love Josef, most people know Josef is quirky and if they don't they figure it out. I have always worried that I would get in trouble because of his attitude, but I keep him inside instead of on the balcony to bark all day, so the management doesn't bother me at all. I sure hope you can find a place where you can have at least a cat, but a dog will always protect you and be your friend for life. 

That's what I want, a friend for life!

Now that is the truth  JSM some dogs just don't like other dogs, Zoe has her pals, but other dogs that she sees and decides right away she doesn't like them, her hair on her back goes up and she tries to jump at the dog. Zoe can't tolerate, the UPS truck she goes nuts, when we are walking and she sees that truck she literally plunges at the truck, and she just hates the sound of the newspaper's man's car

For any curling fans, the Roar of the Rings mens final is tomorrow with Kevin Martin rink going against Glenn Howard rink tomorrow.  It is going to be a great final.

  Northern I love the people in the stands. I guess in Canada, curling is BIG TIME... that is probably why most curlers in Texas are from Canada. I think I may join the league next year since they have moved to my rink. Only thing is I fall down when I am throwing the rock. That broom doesn't hold my fat azz upright.  The two times I have curled, I was more bruised and hurt worse than two whole days at skate camp  Curling IS a sport, even if people don't think it is one. Thanks for the link!!!

The fans are pretty passionate.  It is a sport and you hurt like heck after you curl from using muscles you would not usually use. 

You are right, back muscles, butt muscles and the sweeping will kill you.    Plus trying not to fall while sweeping once you have thrown the rock. That is very scary.

It is great for butt and thigh muscles 

Yes, just not good on knees and hips when you fall.

The pit bull just wanted to play, Josef wanted to eat it. His owners didn't realize until I told them that Josef is not good with other dogs. Although Joe has mellowed in the last year, he still doesn't get along with other animals.

I can't imagine ever wanting a snake, one time when we first moved here a water moccasin chased us up the hill from the creek. That was the last time I ever went near the creek.

As for mice, I can't imagine wanting one of those either, but much less having 11 more.  I bet you took all 13 to the pet store immediately. 

Oh no! Being chased by a snake! I wouldn't go back either! 

Actually, it was 23 that went back, and he wasn't upset in the least. One had died when he was cleaning the cage. The bottom of it fell out, and they went everywhere! I don't know how it got pregnant so fast after just having 11, but she did. Was cute tho. My son felt like a proud papa...at first. 

At least when the when the bottom fell out they didn't all go scurrying around the house

Oh that would not have been good! They'd have gotten behind the stove and everything, just like little rats do! After that happened, he agreed it was time to do something with them.

When I had my chihuahua I was pregnant with my son, almost 16 years ago. I had her about 3 years. She went everywhere with me, including the bathroom. But when I had my son, she wouldn't come near me, ever! Not for food, not to go outside, nothing. It broke my heart! I don't know if she was mad at me or what. But, she died not long after. She was born with a tumor and wasn't supposed to live past a year they said. She was almost 4.

 Stag : an adult male red deer; also : the male of various other deer (especially genus Cervus)

Buck: adult male deer, usually sporting a rack of horns. The bigger the rack (more points), the bigger the bragging rights.

so, there's really no difference. Although, I suspect there are regional variations. I suspect in England they call a stag what we would call a buck (or I would call some damn fine stew!)

It is amazing the girls at daycare tell me Josef doesn't even bother with the other dogs when he is there. He has calmed down so much since he first started going but he freaks out if he is in a suite. No one knows why he gets so scared, but I think it is because when he was really sick, they put him in a suite to keep him happy. Good thing, I can't afford a suite. Sad thing is Josef has no friends, I wish he did. He knows where the dogs live and if they aren't out on their balcony he will bark just to let them know he is outside. Crazy dog. You are lucky your Zoe has pals.

Gizzie   When my oldest son was born our dog got so mad at me he pulled out all my clothes out of my bottom dresser draw and chewed then up? The ones he didn't chew on pottied on.

Thanks Tevye, I didn't know the difference. I told my friend about my nephew's deer he got today and I didn't know what it was called. I remember Trimm saying she saw a spike and I didn't know that was a deer. So I guess a 10 point isn't a spike.  I am very confused about deer hunting.

He is a born & breed California boy and never been in weather colder than 36. He is freezing.  I know his mom shouldn't laugh but I tried to warn him.
